More owe-bamaKare Waivers
Remember when AARP touted owe-bamaKare as the next "second coming?!?" This 'cram-down' legislation--that the Congress had to pass to find out what's in it--was going to solve all the healthcare 'ills' of the advancing retirees. The AARP organization spent the run-up to the legislation's passage throwing its members 'under the bus!' AARP saw owe-bamaKare as a vehicle to even greater profits for their insurance branches.
Apparently, not so much! AARP was granted a waiver exempting their supplementary insurance from owe-bamaKare perview; an obvious payoff for their support. AARP was the single-largest organization supporting the travesty called owe-bamaKare!! Now they can enhance their most recent year's profits of over $500,000,000, by continuing to sell the Medi-Gap insurance coverage to the same seniors they previously abandoned. Remember folks, there are alternatives to this--clearly, fascist--organization, namely:

Making Government Accountable: The Innovators
By Brad Hall 05/11/11
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Sending my annual April 15 check to the federal government is painful. There are so many ways to use my money that deliver value to me, my family and society. But I am not sure that a check to the IRS is one of them. I often wonder whether the federal government is truly doing its best to maximize the return on those hard-earned dollars. The question is simple, "Is the government continually producing more value with less cost?" Producing better results at a lower cost is at the top of every CEO's mind. This is the basic law of business survival. In practice, this means that even though companies increase in size and experience inflation, budgets [....]

Willie Nelson retracts Gary Johnson endorsement
By Matthew Reichbach
05.19.11
After news of the endorsement exploded across the internet, Nelson told the Teapot Party blogger, “My position is it too early for me to endorse anyone. And I think every one should vote their own conscience.” The move came, in part, because of Nelson’s 2008 endorsement of U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich. Nelson said that his endorsement is still Kucinich’s if the Ohio Democrat chooses to once again run for president.

Nixa, Mo, Family Could Face Millions in Fines from USDA for selling Rabbits without a license
[Ok, Got this on a Tip From BBCW and this needs to go viral. You can read the full sordid tale any of several places Big Government, BBCW, & Left Coast Rebel, to name a few. ]
Here are the salient facts of this total over reaction by the Federal Government, specifically the USDA APHIS unit. This is mostly taken from Bob McCarty’s excellent story which originally ran on the 19th.
John Dollarhite and his wife Judy of Nixa, Mo( Pop 12,124) , have been told by the USDA that, by Monday, they must pay a fine exceeding $90,000. If they don’t pay that fine, they could face additional fines of almost $4 million. Why? Because they sold more than $500 worth of bunnies — $4,600 worth to be exact — in a single calendar year.
The backstory:
“About six years ago, the Dollarhites wanted to teach their young teenage son responsibility and the value of the dollar. So they rescued a pair of rabbits — one male and one female — and those rabbits did what rabbits do; they reproduced. Before long, things were literally hopping on the three-acre homestead 30 miles south of Springfield, and Dollarvalue Rabbitry was launched as more of a hobby than a business. “We’d sell ‘em for 10 or 15 dollars a piece,” John said during a phone interview Tuesday afternoon, comparing the venture to a kid running a lemonade stand. In addition, they set up a web site and posted a “Rabbits for Sale” sign in their front yard. Most customers, however, came via word of mouth.
In the early stages, some of the bunnies were raised and sold for their meat. Much further down the road, John said, they determined it more profitable to sell live bunnies at four weeks old than to feed bunnies for 12 weeks and then sell them as meat. “We started becoming the go-to people” for rabbits in the Springfield area, John said. “If you wanted a rabbit, you’d go to Dollarvalue Rabbitry.” He added that the family even made the local television news just before Easter in 2008 for a report about the care and feeding of “Easter bunnies.”
…During the summer of 2009, the Dollarhites bought the rabbitry from their son who had grown tired of managing it. They paid him what he asked for it, $200. Things kept growing, however, and the Dollarhite’s landed a pair of big accounts in 2009. A well-known Branson theme park, Silver Dollar City, asked the Dollarhites to have them provide four-week-old bunnies per week to their petting zoo May through September. When the bunnies turned six weeks old, they were sold to park visitors. The Springfield location of a national pet store chain, Petland, purchased rabbits from the Dollarhites as well.
…By the year’s end, the Dollarhites had moved approximately 440 rabbits and grossed about $4,600 for a profit of approximately $200 — enough, John said, to provide the family “pocket money” to do things such as eat out at Red Lobster once in a while. That was better than the loss they experienced in 2008. Then some unexpected matters began demanding their attention. It’s an understatement to describe the Dollarhites as being “beyond surprised” when, in the fall of 2009, a female inspector from the U.S. Department of Agriculture showed up at the front door of the family home, wanting to do a “spot inspection” of their rabbitry. She said she had [....]

We Need To Go Back
May 16, 2011
Last Tuesday (May 10), President Obama signed a declaration of emergency, which authorized federal funds to be used in aid to victims of the storms and flooding which have crossed the state this spring. The Office of the Press Secretary sent the following release through the White House website:
The President today declared a major disaster exists in the State of Missouri and ordered Federal aid to supplement State and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding beginning on April 19, 2011, and continuing.
The President's action makes Federal funding available to affected individuals in the counties of Butler, Mississippi, New Madrid, St. Louis, and Taney. Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster...

A Tale of two Stories: SEIU Harassment, and Sued under RICO Statute

The SEIU is one of the unions most discussed by the right. From what we have seen, they seem to be a beat down prone group of thugs, and are very open in their intimidation tactics. Here is a rather interesting video… ['youtube' link below]
So the goons show up and disrupt a business that has nothing to do with the hospital that the SEIU is striking against. The bank CEO is apparently on the hospital’s board, but there are negotiators that handle the union situation. So, it is clear that this is nothing more than an intimidation tactic. Look for them to show up at the man’s home. Did you notice how they reacted when they were told that the police were called? They sounded like a bunch of petulant teens, if you ask me. The Mead List: World’s Top Ten Gaddafi Toads
Walter Russell Mead
March 3, 2011
When Muammar Gaddafi, the ‘Commander of Islam‘, Africa’s King of Kings and the Great Loon of Libya addressed the United Nations General Assembly at unusual length in 2009, he asked about the hanging of Saddam Hussein. “How is the member of a government and president of a country sentenced to hang? Who were these people in masks that did this? Did they have the right to do it?” If things go on as they are in Libya, he may find out. In the meantime as the King of Kings and Loon of Loons does his hideous best to engulf his country in terror and blood for the sake of extending his despicable and destructive rule, it is worth reflecting on the degree to which the “international community” (to use the oxymoronic phrase with which vapid politicians and bureaucrats seek to disguise the carnivorous nature of international life) flattered, cajoled and enabled this psychopath.
I do not blame the United States and Britain for making a deal to stop his nuclear program. I thank God we did that, and I thank God it worked. I do not blame either country for offering the delusional windbag a path back to normal relations; there is more rejoicing in Heaven over the sinner who repents than over the ninety-nine who never left the fold and it is not as if there were many other viable options to try.
It pains me, but I am also willing to overlook the military sales various western powers (including the United States) made to the regime in order to get its help against terror. In the world in which we actually live, as opposed to the beautiful utopia which so many clueless idealists imagine we inhabit, you sometimes have to deal with Beelzebub to keep Satan in check. 1. "We still have some room to grow."
Since Sept. 11, 2001, the Transportation Security Administration has installed 48,000 federal security officers, primarily in airports. Their mission: To vet the nation's approximately 625 million air passengers and more than 9 billion trips on U.S. mass transit per year. Thwarted attacks since then have ushered in further measures that air passengers have tolerated for the sake of security, until last year's major rollout of full-body scans and enhanced pat downs. Critics say they're too invasive and wonder if they'll be used elsewhere. Indeed, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has said it might soon be time to expand the focus on aviation security to other forms of mass transit. In March the Electronic Privacy Information Center released documents describing a Department of Homeland Security pilot program for mobile full-body screening at [....]

District of Corruption
This week, I went to Memphis, Tennessee, where I spoke to the graduating class of Booker T. Washington High School. Graduations are always happy occasions. But this commencement was especially hopeful – because of just how much the kids at Booker T. Washington High School had overcome. This is a school in the middle of a tough neighborhood in South Memphis. There’s a lot of crime. There’s a lot of poverty. And just a few years ago, only about half of the students at the school graduated. Just a handful went off to college each year. But folks came together to change all that. Under the leadership of a dynamic principal and devoted teachers, they started special academies for ninth graders – because they found that that’s when a lot of kids were lost. They made it possible for students to take AP classes or vocational courses. Most importantly, they didn’t just change the curriculum; they created a culture that prizes hard work and discipline, and that shows every student that they matter.
[What I'm not telling you: Given Memphis' crime statistics, the students' accomplishments are even more wonderous! The City of Memphis, Tn., is one of the most crime-ridden cities in Tennessee; one of the more crime-ridden cities in America, on a per-capita basis. This is where my choices to piss-away the nation's tax receipts run up against what should be done for the benefit of communities; for the benefit of the nation, as a whole. My regime (Read: George Soros and Valarie Jarrett) has chosen 'education' and 'green technology,' manufacturing and education as the primary recipients of funds-wasting .....er.... 'investing,' without regard to benefit-for-dollar-spent!
The US Department of Education (DOE) administers a 69.9 BILLION-DOLLAR budget. most of the funds are spent to administer and fund federal programs involving education and to enforce federal education laws involving privacy and civil rights. The DOE allegedly benefits 133,000 public and private schools. Were the DOE disbanded, each of those schools--at current budget levels--would recieve $525,563.90 annually!! While there are more needy, less affluent schools in the country, the funds could easily be 'equalized' at the state or county level, with each state/county maintaining minimal requirements and minimal administration. Scholars have long held that the best education is administered at the lowest level; i.e., the community or the school district. At best, the DOE is not much more than a 'prop-up' for teachers unions at every level! Not to minimalize the accomplishments of Booker T. Washington High School, but how much better could the results have been had the school had another half-million to spend to benefit the students?!?]
Today, four out five students at the school earn a diploma. 70 percent continue their education, many the first in their families to go to college. So Booker T. Washington High School is no longer a story about what’s gone wrong in education. It’s a story about how we can set it right. We need to encourage this kind of change all across America. We need to reward the reforms that are driven not by Washington, but by principals and teachers and parents. That’s how we’ll make progress in education – not from the top down, but from the bottom up. And that’s the guiding principle of the Race to the Top competition my administration started two years ago.
[What I'm not telling you: Although I blather about "....reforms that are not driven by Washington...." both the SJo regime and the DOE promote those very same 'Washington-based' rewards and reforms!! If not, why do we still have a DOE: To administer grants?!? To enforce civil rights laws?!? To formulate and fulminate education policy?!? Each of these areas is better served at the lowest level possible! The SJo Regime owes a great debt to educators, to unions in general; teachers' unions in particular, as well as the SEIU's "Purple People Beaters" and the "New Black Panther Party;" both well-armed and adept at voter fraud thuggery. If the objective of the SJo Regime is to make progress "....not from the top down, but from the bottom up...," I'm forced--again--to ask: Why do we still have the DOE?!?]
The idea is simple: if states show that they’re serious about reform, we’ll show them the money. And it’s already making a difference throughout the country. In Tennessee, where I met those students, they’ve launched an innovative residency program so that new teachers can be mentored by veteran educators. In Oregon, Michigan and elsewhere, grants are supporting the work of teachers who are lengthening the school day, offering more specialized classes, and making the changes necessary to improve struggling schools. Our challenge now is to allow all fifty states to benefit from the success of Race to the Top. We need to promote reform that gets results while encouraging communities to figure out what’s best for their kids. That why it’s so important that Congress replace No Child Left Behind this year – so schools have that flexibility. Reform just can’t wait. And if anyone doubts this, they ought to head to Booker T. Washington High. They ought to meet the inspiring young people who overcame so much, and worked so hard, to earn their diplomas – in a school that believed in their promise and gave them the opportunity to succeed. We need to give every child in America that chance. That’s why education reform matters.
[What I'm not telling you: The '....money we show them....' obviously will not include that which funds the DOE itself; nor the funds 'invested' in the lawsuits we initiate in the areas of privacy and civil rights; nor the funds that 'mysteriously' end up benefitting the teachers and their unions; and on-and-on-and-on! No federal program--educational, or otherwise--is not without fault including 'No Child Left Behind' or SJo's own 'Race To The Top!' The primary reason to replace 'NCLB' with 'RTTT' is that the former is a Bush-43 Era program. The professed 'flexibility' does not come without hidden 'strings;' strings we will reveal as they are violated! The one truism in this weekly blather opportunity is: 'education reform matters.' That education reform can--and will probably--only matter if it's taken out of the heavy hands of the federal government! Education reform is so important to me--to the SJo Regime--that I single-handedly denied the District of Corruption students continuation of the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program; a program vilified by teachers' unions at every level; unions who--with Soros and Jarrett--are the reason you have a fascist president, today!! Remember this truism: "The fewer the cooks-the better the soup!!"]

This'n'That; May Twentieth #2; My Resolution
We MUST Prioritize Debt Going Forward!
Not only must we prioritize the debt, we must codify (write into law) the order of prioritization. This prioritization must be "to the benefit of the United States and it's citizens." Rather than continuing to write foreign-aid checks to every third-world rathole, we must 'Pay America, First!'
The Soros/Jarrett/owe-bama (SJo) regime gives foreign-aid to those whose philosophies are diametrically opposed to ours--at least to the American people's! Take Pakistan for instance: Their government is having a hissy-fit over owe-bama killing Osama bin Laden! Why? He was almost the most despicable, the most vile individual on the planet. In my mind, the 'Two Os' are tied-for-first!!
These foreign-aid payments--through a circuitous route--go to pay our enemies to wage war against us! Pakistan not only has routinely shielded al Qaeda and the Taliban, the country has provided materiel aid and refuge to these sub-human creatures! With Pakistan being another of owe-bama's "third-world ratholes" where do you suppose their money comes from to provide this aid and comfort?
America, of course.... and quite by design! Both Soros and Jarrett have a long standing hatred for America and it's prosperity. One of the many ways to bring America 'to her knees' is to use her own money to fund opposition forces who also seek to destroy her!!
While many conservatives and many members of the "Tea Party" movement paint owe-bama as a dupe of the 'far left;' all that he does, all that he says, all that he is; has been artfully designed and packaged by the joint team of George Soros and Valarie Jarrett! Regardless of the levels of damage he and the SJo team does; this regime has to go, simply because the American Dream was never ment to be ruled by a team!!
These slimy bastards have to go!!

This'n'That; May Twentieth #1; Nobody Died!
(A better-in order-view at: http://www.justincase505.wordpress.com/)
Debt Limit Reached-Nobody Died!
Amid 'dirtly little secrets,' the debt ceiling was reached last Monday and no one died-much to the chagrin of the owe-bamacRATs! The forecast had been that if agreement to a new debt ceiling, the old folks wouldn't get their health care, their medications and other unaffordable entitlements. "Turbo-Tax Tim" Geithner's obfuscation reveals one of the many Soros/Jarrett/owe-bama regime 'dirty little secrets;' the obfuscation first:
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner formally notified Congress that the government would halt its investments in two federal pension plans so it won't exceed the borrowing limit.
That statement sounds serious, doesn't it?!? It would be, if only it were true!! Now, the 'dirty little secret:'
{*}This authority was confirmed way back in 1985 when then-Senator Bob Packwood asked the Government Accounting Office (GAO) this question:

{*}This authority was confirmed way back in 1985 when then-Senator Bob Packwood asked the Government Accounting Office (GAO) this question:
The Treasury Department--hence, the Secretary of The Treasury--has the authority to prioritize it's debt obligations, i.e., interest on the debt, Medicare and Medicaid obligations, et al, to the benefit of the American taxpayer.{*}
"Can the Treasury prioritize payments in such a situation (reaching the debt limit)?
The GAO's response:
YOU HAVE REQUESTED OUR VIEWS ON WHETHER THE SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY HAS AUTHORITY TO DETERMINE THE ORDER IN WHICH OBLIGATIONS ARE TO BE PAID SHOULD THE CONGRESS FAIL TO RAISE THE STATUTORY LIMIT ON THE PUBLIC DEBT OR WHETHER TREASURY WOULD BE FORCED TO OPERATE ON A FIRST IN-FIRST-OUT BASIS. BECAUSE OF YOUR NEED FOR AN IMMEDIATE ANSWER, OUR CONCLUSIONS MUST, OF NECESSITY, BE TENTATIVE, BEING BASED ON THE LIMITED RESEARCH WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO.
IT IS OUR CONCLUSION THAT THE SECRETARY OF THE TREASURY DOES HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO CHOOSE THE ORDER IN WHICH TO PAY OBLIGATIONS OF THE UNITED STATES.
ON A DAILY BASIS THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT RECEIVES A NORMAL FLOW OF REVENUES FROM TAXES AND OTHER SOURCES. AS THEY BECOME AVAILABLE IN THE OPERATING CASH BALANCE, TREASURY MAY USE THESE FUNDS TO PAY OBLIGATIONS OF THE GOVERNMENT AND TO REISSUE EXISTING DEBT AS IT MATURES. SEE GENERALLY H.R. REPT. NO. 31, 96TH CONG., 1ST SESS. 9-10 (1979).In this kerfuffle, the onus to "do what's right" is laid directly at the feet of Soros, Jarrett and/or owe-bama and by extension-their representative at the Treasury: "Turbo-Tax Tim" Geithner!! Instead of 'doing what's right,' the 'SJO' regime and the socio-fascist owe-bamacRATs continue to use fear tactics on America's aging population to achieve a wholly-unnecessary increase in the spending limit!!
WE ARE AWARE OF NO STATUTE OR ANY OTHER BASIS FOR CONCLUDING THAT TREASURY IS REQUIRED TO PAY OUTSTANDING OBLIGATIONS IN THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY ARE PRESENTED FOR PAYMENT UNLESS IT CHOOSES TO DO SO. TREASURY IS FREE TO LIQUIDATE OBLIGATIONS IN ANY ORDER IT FINDS WILL BEST SERVE THE INTERESTS OF THE UNITED STATES.
