This'n'That; March Thirty-First #3; Deeper Crap

{**An 'in-order' duplicate post: http://justincase505.wordpress.com/}
The '$h!t' Just Gets Deeper 'n' Deeper!
While I have very serious doubts as to the legitimacy of the owe-bama citizenship 'proofs;' as to the legitimacy of the owe-bama presidency, I usually don't let these obfuscations pray on my mind.  Like others who didn't fall for the "Campaign of Fluff," I have my own theories as to how barry soretoro became barack hussein obama;  became barry soretoro; became barack insane owe-bama!  Chief among them is this:
{*}That's my theory!  Now we have this, which goes to buttress my theory:
Young Master Obama was born of Stanley Anne Dunham (U.S. citizen) and Barack Hussein Obama, Senior (Kenyan citizen).  'Obama-the-Younger' received his early education in Indonesia, continuing in Hawaii while living with his maternal grandparents.  Somewhere along the way, 'Obama-the-Younger' assumed the sir-name of his step-father, Barry Soretoro.
While living with his grandparents in Hawaii, Obama-Soretoro lived a life of relative luxury-wanting for very little.  His high school classmates remember him as a "spoiled, high-achiever."  As a non-U.S. citizen, Obama-Soretoro would be eligible for greater funds and scholarships as a 'foreign student' when applying and attending college on the United States mainland.  This is the path he chose until he completed his education, then claimed U.S. citizenship.
If forced to prove (or disprove by default) his American citizenship, owe-bama would be unable to do so.  owe-bama would prove to be a complete fraud; any official documents he's signed; any treaties he's entered into, etc, would become invalid-INSTANTLY!!  He'd also be responsible to repay the federal government the value of his fraudently attained educational grants and scholarships as a 'foreign student.'
{*}
{**}It's now up to all Americans to form their individual opinions/theories.  The evidence continues to mount, weigh it carefully!!
“Col. Greg Hollister, USAF (Ret.) contacted the Selective Service, falsely impersonated President Obama, improperly registered his own address as President Obama’s address, and by this false impersonation and identity theft he managed to obtain a duplicate registration acknowledgement card with President Obama’s Selective Service information on it,” a blogger posted on gratewire.com last week. “This may violate several federal criminal statutes, and apparently caused the federal record of President Obama’s address with the Selective Service to be altered to show that he lives in Colorado Springs, CO.”  Hollister said Tuesday a private investigator, Susan Daniels of Ohio, gave him what is purported to be the president’s Social Security number. He then accessed the Social Security Number Verification Service to find out to whom it was issued and to access Selective Service documents.  The site allows registered users to verify names and Social Security numbers for employment purposes and warns that using it under false pretenses is a violation of federal law.  “According to the Social Security Administration, that number was never issued,” said Hollister, who challenged whether the president is an American citizen in a lawsuit the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear Jan. 18 without requiring a response from the White House.  However, that’s the Social Security number that appears on the Selective Service documents Hollister obtained.

'Pinky' reid Duplicating The "Clown Prince"
We all know "Clown Prince" owe-bama is a world-class liar; 'Pinky' reid seems to think that's the way to go!  Mr reid regularly takes huge 'liberties with the truth' when talking about the Tea Party movement:
Recently reid--blathering almost as often as owe-bama--said that Tea Party popularity is slipping fast, nearing untold lows.  The actual truth of the matter is that the Tea Party movement enjoys higher approval numbers (above 50%) than either major political party (both in the mid-40s% range) and our ruler as well (owe-bama's approval stands at 24%!!)

This'n'That; March Thirtieth #3; Slimy 'Situation!'

Slimy Selection; Slimy Politician?
Tom Richards is now the mayor of Rochester, N.Y.  Is he a slimy politician?  I don't know; I don't know Mr Richards from 'a bag of hubcaps!'  I do think the process was covered in slime; the 'players:'
  • Rochester's immediately previous mayor was Bob Duffy-current Lt Governor.
  • Rochester's Deputy Mayor under Duffy was Patricia Malgieri.
  • Rochester's 'City' Corporation Counsel under Duffy was Tom Richards.
  • Rochester's Neighborhood and Business Development Commissioner under Duffy was R. Carlos Carballada.
The 'slime' as it appeared; as I remember it:
  • It appeared that Mayor Duffy was apparently thinking of his successor as he contemplated being 'Young Andy' Cuomo's running mate.
  • It appeared that Deputy-Mayor Malgieri seemed to be pushed out of office under the guise of exploring other options, or somesuch nonsense.
  • City Corporation Counsel Tom Richards was appointed Deputy Mayor on 10/28/2010.
  • Deputy-Mayor Tom Richards became Mayor on 01/01/2011, upon Mayor Duffy's resignation prior to being sworn in as Lt Governor.
  • Mayor Tom Richards resigns his office on 01/20/2011, under some convoluted interpretation of some convoluted law (the Hatch Act, I think).
  • R. Carlos Carballada is appointed Acting-Mayor on 01/20/2011.
  • Tom Richards is elected Mayor on 03/29/2011.
The heartburn I have is in the selection process, not the election process.  It seems to me Patricia Malgieri should have assumed the mayorship upon Mayor Duffy's resignation.  Instead, Tom Richards was 'stuffed into' the Deputy Mayorship after Ms Malgieri was forced out.  Every step of the way seemed to get slimier and slimier until the point where City Council appointed Mr Carballada as Acting-Mayor.
The election process--from my vantage point--seemed to be amiable in advertising, in campaigning and in debates.  My 'guy' didn't win, but with the larger-than-normal turnout, the election was fair!!

This'n'That; March Thirtieth #2; More Slime!

The 'Battle' For First Place....!
Have you heard the audio of 'Chuckie-Cheese' Schumer?  That audio--the 'instructional' one--where Chuckie is telling new owe-bamacRATs, via a conference call, how to refer to the republicRATs when speaking with reporters.  Ever the vigilant one, 'Chuckie-Cheese' was unaware that reporters were already 'on the line,' listening to his "lesson."   Besides the reporters, the members of the group being 'instructed' were owe-bamacRAT Senators Barbara Boxer of California, Tom Carper of Delaware, Ben Cardin of Maryland and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut.  The primary instruction:
....insure that anyone speaking with the press, always refer to republicRAT budget cuts as 'extreme.'  "I always use 'extreme,'" Schumer said; "That's what the caucus instructed me to use."

{*}I'm sure things like the caucus instructions happen on a regular basis.
I'm sure this will affirm and confirm any suspicions the public has about 'Chuckie-Cheese' Schumer being a member of the 'Slimy Politicians' coalition.
I'm sure Schumer and any other owe-bamacRAT will whine, bitch and moan about any budget change that involves less spending; less power!
I'm unsure this was actually an 'accidental leak' to the listening National Pamphleteer corps.
I'm unsure who will emerge as the front-runner in the owe-bamacRAT 'race-to-the-top' of the "Slimiest Politician" list: "Clown Prince" owe-bama, 'Chuckie-Cheese' Schumer, 'Pinkie' Reid, "Plug" biden, Nancy PORKlosi,  'General' Holder, George Soros, et al!!  Practically all owe-bamacRAT politicians and supporters qualify for the contest.

This'n'That; March Thirtieth #1 Fluff-Redux Via Tripoli

The Soros/owe-bama Foreign 'Policy'
Seems that"Clown Princeowe-bama's on-going "Campaign of Fluff-Redux" is just a mirror image of the 2006-2008 model; re-making owe-bama into something he's never been-never will be.  I offer up two points of reference to buttress my position:
owe-bama's speech was delivered at 7:30PM-eastern; 4:30PM-pacific, on most of the TV networks-that in and of itself, is telling.  Had the speech had any import at all, it would have been scheduled at 9:00PM-eastern; 6:00PM-pacific.  It apparently wasn't for liberal left-coast consumption.  The speech itself, was a compendium of fluff, half-truths and out-right lies, and just a couple of those; "....that America’s role would be limited; that we would not put ground troops into Libya...."  In fact  there are  U.S. 'special-ops' personnel on the ground in Libya as we speak!!
"....when our safety is not directly threatened, but our interests and values are...."  The United States has no interests in Libya-all the outside oil interests working in Libya, are European based corporations!!
This speech was purely and simply, a "Campaign of Fluff-Redux" stump speech!!  Completely flowered with all the fluff one man-child could muster, it set up the owe-bama regime to take the glory from the 'three-girls-in-a-room,' should owe-bama 'luck out' and Colonel Kaddafi accepts asylum in some other third-world rathole.  If the owe-bama suggested coup fails, he's distanced himself far enough to avoid the most of the fallout.
On March 29th, Mrs Clinton ('Girl #1' of 'the three-girls-in-a-room')--while speaking in London--refuted the congressional testimony of Admiral Stavridis, the NATO Supreme Allied Commander.  The admiral testified in part: “…we have seen flickers in the intelligence of potential al Qaeda, Hezbollah, we’ve seen different things.”
The essence of Admiral Stavridis' testimony in conjunction with Mrs Clinton's speech and owe-bama's blather is: America will be funding and arming al Qaeda as a part of the rebel forces in Libya, while killing al Qaeda in Afganistan.
Some foreign policy, bubba!!

This'n'That; March Twenty-Ninth #2; More Mindless Blather

The "Clown Prince's" Most Recent Opportunity
To be sure, "Clown Prince" owe-bama has yet to miss a blather opportunity!  The one last night was nothing more than owe-bama's feeble attempt to garner even more 'glory' he doesn't deserve and hasn't earned.  Here are a few quotes I picked out of his presentation and my opinion of the background for the comment or actual unfolding of the events or decisions:
"Mindful of the risks and costs of military action, we are naturally reluctant to use force to solve the world’s many challenges.  But when our interests and values are at stake, we have a responsibility to act.  That’s what happened in Libya over the course of these last six weeks."
What--exactly--are 'our interests and values?'  I contend that this was an "action-for-oil," but not our oil!!  As illustrated by a map published by STRATFOR GLOBAL INTELLIGENCE (http://www.stratfor.com/ or http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/) the only interests in Libya are oil; the only oil interests in libya are European!!  We have no interests in Libyan oil, or in Libyan 'anything!!'
"We knew that if we wanted -- if we waited one more day, Benghazi, a city nearly the size of Charlotte, could suffer a massacre that would have reverberated across the region and stained the conscience of the world.  It was not in our national interest to let that happen."
Why--exactly--are we finally concerned with 'reverberating massacres?'  What about the massacres in Darfur; in North Korea; in Syria; in The Ivory Coast?  It's not in owe-bama's best interests to save and protect any peoples not invested in by owe-bama's "a$$hole buddies."
"To lend some perspective on how rapidly this military and diplomatic response came together, when people were being brutalized in Bosnia in the 1990s, it took the international community more than a year to intervene with air power to protect civilians. It took us 31 days."

That '31 days' thingie...?  Just another of owe-bama's bold-faced lies!!  It's taken the United States roughly TWENTY-TWO YEARS, FOUR MONTHS... and still Khaddafi has not been brought to justice for promoting and funding the 'Lockerbie Bombing,' which killed a total of 270 persons; 259 (189 Americans) on the plane; 11 on the ground in Lockerbie, Scotland.
"I refused to let that happen. And so nine days ago, after consulting the bipartisan leadership of Congress, I authorized military action to stop the killing and enforce U.N. Security Council Resolution 1973. "

Why are the National Pamphleteers publishing articles speaking to the whines of members of both parties; of both houses of Congress?  Sounds like another of owe-bama's bold-faced lies!
"I made it clear that Qaddafi had lost the confidence of his people and the legitimacy to lead, and I said that he needed to step down from power."
Will the current NATO coalition stand by the American citizens when a majority of them make the same claims about their ruler: barack insane owe-bama?!?  They better rearm and re-aim, soon!!
"The task that I assigned our forces -– to protect the Libyan people from immediate danger, and to establish a no-fly zone -– carries with it a U.N. mandate and international support."
"Clown Prince" owe-bama is--at best--a 'figurehead' ruler.  Most times he's doing the bidding of George Soros; this time he's doing the bidding of the 'three-ladies-in-a-room:'  Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice and Samantha Power!!  They made the decisions involving Libya, primarily as a dry-run to an invasion of Israel.  Ms Power (wife of Cass Sunstein-reputed to be "the most dangerous man in America") is both a strong advocate of the 'Responsibility-to-Protect,' and she despises Israel, Zionism and all they stand for!!
In conclusion, this action will not bode well for owe-bama.  Those who actually can think will remember this during the on-going "Campaign of Fluff-Redux" and into the '12 elections.  Unless there's a quick and severe change of heart among General Holder's "....my people....," owe-bama won't have nearly the support he enjoyed among the owe-bamacRATs and the 'KoolAid drinkers!'  Keep an 'eye-out' for that "Responsibility-to-Protect" phrase; you'll see it again and again!  Not much more than a very loosely defined buzz-phrase to be used by the socialist-marxist-fascists.  It'll cover any instance where they feel it necessary to invade and dismantle any group (nations, political units, Tea Party-esque organizations) to promote their one-world government philosophy.

This'n'That; March Twenty-Ninth #1; Another Scam?

They're Everywhere; They're Everywhere!!
I consider myself 'Honest-to-a-fault!'  As such, I expect everyone to be the same; alas-they are not!  The "Stauer" scam comes to mind as the greatest (worst) one I've been involved in.  I mentioned it twice in this blog: on Nov 17 [StauerScam; Hero; Food Security] and December 8, 2008 [EPA; Stauer; Ford]; the December 8th entry having the most information-details.  A new one has surfaced, albeit local.
"Legends 102.7," WLGZ; an FM 'classic rock' station in Rochester, N.Y., has a morning trivia contest by which the winner is awarded 'lunch-for-two' at a local "choke-and-puke:" Nick's Seabreeze Inn.  A closer read of the certificates indicates that the winner is awarded:
  • Two (2) separate $7.50 Certificates;
  • To be used on (2) separate visits;
  • Lunch Only, Monday-Friday;
  • Limit one certificate per table, and
  • the certificate cannot be used for tipping, alcoholic beverages, take outs or refunds.
What-ta-Hell good is the certificate if the winner and his or her date must sit at different tables in order to use both certificates on the same date or day?!?  The "young-miss-lovely" is good at trivia and over the course of a week, won certificates for herself and two co-workers and their husbands/dates.  Until they got the certificates, the plan was to meet for a meal....EXCEPT.... the certificates are only good for lunch; only good Monday through Friday!! Everyone works!  The winner and her co-workers work too far away to use the certificates during the daily lunch period.  So much for 'a good thing!'

This'n'That; March Twenty-Eighth #2; Time's Here!

It's Time For A Change....!
Here I am.... at a point I never thought I'd see!!
Unemployed!!
Sixty-five years old!!
On Social Security!!
I grew up in the 1950s-'60s in a bustling little village in western New York's Southern Tier; Cohocton, to be exact.  I started working when I was about 15; setting type by hand for a small weekly newspaper and 'job-shop.'  That's when I really started learning about saving, budgeting, investing.  My Dad and I had been having informal conversations-discussions on the stock market and investing since I was about 12 or so. (FYI [dads, parents]-Those conversations became invaluable to me in future years; future investing ventures!)  I spent most of my early years as a naive school kid, graduating in 1964.  I didn't find out until much later, but my high school Principal--Mr Dunn--had commented on the back of my transcript that essentially, I wouldn't amount to crap without close supervision.  My assessment of that comment is:  I was an undiagnosed, unlabeled 'A-D-D' kid, before that affliction was socially acceptable.  To me, I was just 'the class clown' who never paid attention!
My first real dose of reality came when I arrived in San Antonio, Texas--two days after high-school graduation--for Air Force basic training.  After that came almost thirteen years of active--Air Force--duty; lots of different military jobs--some flying, most not.  Along the way came four kids and lot'sa marriages and the subsequent divorces-none of which were my idea!
Next, another dose of reality: civilian life!  To be 'dropped on the street corner,' mostly single (divorce finalization pending), mostly broke, was a bit dose.  Nobody to tell me where to go, what to do when I got there; I was a bit "at my wit's end."  No money, no place to live; I literally moved into "a refrigerator box under a bridge" in one of the towns outside Kansas City, Missouri, near a second town where I'd later find work, a temporary home and most of a college education.   The young people of my era--and those of following eras--had it drummed into our heads: we had to go to college to amount to anything!!  So I applied and was accepted into Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, Mo., for the Fall Term-1980, with a double major of accounting and finance.  While there, I survived by working in a beer-joint, a mom-n-pop fastfood joint, on the Korean Era GI Bill monies and as unskilled labor for a plumber.  Oh, and with the help of my friend David!  He was 'a local' and a student at CMSU.  His sister owned a mobile home that David and I shared along with his young son Kevin, and on weekends-with his daughter Trisha, as well.
As has happened with many students before and after me; my Mom--a long-time diabetic--became ill with other maladies as well.  Dropping out after 2+ years, I returned home to help as I could.  (I'm still 18 credit-hours short of a bachelor's in either major!)  For a time, my brother and I worked together as contractors, but a 'parting-of-the-ways' was required-we didn't get along any better as adults than we did as kids!  That brought me to The Gunlocke Company; an area 'high-end' office furniture manufacturer.  Starting as an 'order picker' for the assembly area; on to an operator of a 6-head computerized router; onto an Engineering Draftsman; on to a Product Engineer.  After becoming a 'downsizing victim' and on unemployment for a time, I worked as a machine operator for an electrical insulator manufacturer.  This involved a nighttime commute of about 28 miles-one way.  What a sucky job!!  It involved machining clay blanks into the required shapes and profiles-plus the added benefit of being covered in fine dust most of the time!  (Somewhere in all that, I put five years in the Army Reserve.  Again, somewhere in there, I was a Cohocton Village Board member.)
Then I found 'the best job on the planet;'  my true calling!!  I answered one of those ubiquitous ads to drive a truck for 'J.B. Hunt!'  I went to a truck-driving school in Indianapolis, Indiana for 16 days and graduated with a CDL-A!!  On July 4th, 1996, I was a truck-driver!!!  I then drove for (in order) Transport America, Crete Carrier Corp., MS Carriers (as an owner-operator), Crete Carrier Corporation (as an owner-operator) and Crete Carrier Corporation (as a company driver).  In 1999, I took 'a leap' and bought my own truck: a 1998 Freightliner, FLD-120, which I leased to MS Carriers and later Crete.  When I sold it in 2005, it had 943,000 miles on the odometer (NEVER a major rebuild of anything) and during that span I earned just under a million-dollars with it!!  Not too shabby for a $72,000 investment, aye?!?!  Another thing I'm quite proud of: 1,250,000 accident-free, incident-free, ticket-free, COMMERCIAL miles!!  I stayed with Crete for about six-months when "my best darlin'" suggested that she'd like to have me home more than every-other weekend which led me to drive a straight-flatbed truck for one of the local Lowes' stores.  I finally left Lowes' for the last time in April, 2010.
[I know wha-cher thinkin:'  "Is this guy ever gonna get to the point?!?"]
YES, and it's right here (.)!  The point is:  Throughout my working life, I've let my job be my exercise regimen and most of the time, it's been enough.  Now, I find my self unemployed/retired and slowly losing muscle mass and strength.  This is the point I never thought I'd find myself; nothing to do and nowhere to be!  I gotta tell ya'..... it's tough to get into an exercise routine when you've never had one-but that I must!  About a year ago, we bought one of those fancy 'hang your cloths here' thingies that doubles as an exercise machine!  Yesterday I decided that today would be the first day of the rest of my exercise life; with the machine, a pair of 15-pound dumbbells and walking for a half-hour every morning.  I know, I know! 15-pounders?!?  Ya gotta start somewhere!!  I'll let'cha know how it goes....

The Sunday 'Report;' 03/27/2011

What Makes George Soros 'Tick?'
I have long considered Mr Soros an adversary of the United States' constitutional democracy.  By word and by example, Mr Soros appears to desire a reshaping of said government into an oligarchy with himself as the chief potentate!
When 'lifting the skirts' of the owe-bama regime, one can find Soros' "fingerprints" all over the 'under-things' as evidenced by the skewed treatment he's accorded by said regime.  Does 'Petrobras; Gulf Drilling; Gulf FPSOs-ring a bell?!?  Early reports of Soros Fund Management liquidating it's $800++Million investment in Petrobras was a ruse to disguise the Fund's preferred stock investment of unknown value.
Many--myself included--feel that George Soros is the factual head of American government; revealing HIS decisions through owe-bama's blather!!  One--again, myself included--would be well served to read Mr Soros' blatherings to gain more insight into his 'one-world government/open society' philosophies.

Japan’s Nuclear Crisis: Where Is Steven Chu?

March 14, 2011
By Iain Murray
Anyone who has done a little reading on the Japan nuclear crisis will know that we’re facing a less dangerous situation than Three Mile Island. The maximum exposure to radiation anyone has suffered has been 155 millirems, well beneath the proven threshold for ill effects (as I explained in my June 2008 article on nuclear power). While there is still a chance of meltdown, the fact is that this will not be a catastrophe. British tabloid editors can put away their “ATOM DEATH BLAST” headlines. Yet it is unfortunate that we have to go to these authors for accurate information, because our very own secretary of energy, Steven Chu, has until this point been a vocal supporter of nuclear energy. He has the authority and the credibility to be [....]

owe-bama Has Sabotaged American Energy Independence

March 9, 2011
by John Myers
The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world’s oil reserves, is in revolt. Some have blamed President Barack Obama for inciting chaos in Egypt; once an American pillar in the region.  Others have criticized the President for not clamping down on Moammar Gadhafi, the supreme leader of Libya for 42 years, who has created chaos and killed Americans.  The net result is, as the Middle East melts down, oil prices are ablaze: rising from less than $37 per barrel during their 2008 lows to breaking above the $100 per barrel mark. Soaring oil prices impact the cost of all things, from transportation to leisure to foodstuffs.  If Saudi Arabia implodes this will be the world’s worst energy crisis. The House of Saud has bailed out the Western world for four decades. But Saudi Arabia’s ability to ramp-up production is very much in question, as is the nation’s capacity to protect itself from what may be a revolutionary Jihad.   But Obama’s travesty has not only been [....]

MoveOn.org Rally Pumped by Van Jones Had Socialist Hosts
March 14, 2011
by Meredith Jessup
Last month, The Blaze exclusively reported that MoveOn.org’s “Rally to Save the American Dream” in Washington, D.C. was orchestrated by a group called the International Socialist Organization (ISO).

After waiting on a Freedom of Information Act request, The Blaze has exclusively obtained the event’s permit documents which clearly state the Dupont Circle rally permit was applied for and granted to ISO. However, new twists in the story paint a different picture of the apparent collusion between leftist groups, including the ISO, MoveOn.org, SEIU, Planned Parenthood and infamous former green jobs czar Van Jones.
On February 23 — just one day after Van Jones published his rally cry at the Huffington Post — Heather Kangas, an organizer with ISO filed a permit application with the U.S. National Park Service to reserve protest space [....]

The weather and inflation are leading to an explosion in prices and civil strife. Wheat prices have doubled in seven months, corn has increased more than 90 percent and soybeans have surged more than 55 percent. The fear of inflation is not child’s play. It carries the potential for even higher oil prices than those caused by the turmoil in the Middle East.  This brings to mind, have you stored food as we have repeatedly advised for a few years now? This advice is now turning to a red alert warning. Now that the currency is in serious depreciation (inflation), we can store food at a profit by buying it ahead of inflation.  I have studied the collapse of money in Weimar Germany. There became great scarcity of food and the stores were empty. We have [....]

How many times did owe-bama vote 'present' as a state senator?

I keep reading that Obama has "no legislative accomplishments" and at the GOP convention, Palin kept saying he voted "present" 123 times, or something like that. Can you please fact-check this?

There Aren’t Enough Millionaires
March 14, 2011
by Kevin D. Williamson
The rich can’t fund our deficits.
This may sound like a liberal parody of conservative economic thinking, but let me put it out there: America’s problem is that the rich don’t have enough money.
There, I said it. Let’s rumble.
When it comes to the Scrooge McDuck set, the problem isn’t that they’re not rich enough, it’s that there aren’t enough rich — not enough to do what liberals want to do, anyway, which is to balance the budget by increasing taxes on them. Let’s deploy some always-suspect English-major math:
There are lots of liberal definitions of “rich.” When Pres. Barack Obama talks about the rich, he’s talking about people living in households with income of more than $250,000 or more, the rarefied caviar-shoveling stratum occupied by the likes of second-tier public-broadcasting executives, Boston cops, nurses, and the city manager of Lubbock, Texas (assuming somebody in her household earns the last $25,000 to carry her over the line). Club 250K isn’t all that exclusive, and most [....]

Why Inflation Hurts More Than it Did 30 Years Ago

March 19, 2011
by Jonathon M. Seidl
Inflation spooked the nation in the early 1980s. It surged and kept rising until it topped 13 percent.  These days, inflation is much lower. Yet to many Americans, it feels worse now. And for a good reason: Their income has been even flatter than inflation.  Back in the ‘80’s, the money people made typically more than made up for high inflation. In 1981, banks would pay nearly 16 percent on a six-month CD. And workers typically got pay raises to match their higher living costs.
No more.
Over the 12 months that ended in February, consumer prices increased just 2.1 percent. Yet wages for many people have risen even less — if they’re not actually frozen.  Social Security recipients have gone two straight years with no increase in benefits. Money market rates? You need a magnifying glass to find them.  That’s why even moderate [....]

Mark Steyn; Mark Levin;  John Boehner

March 19, 2011
By Maggie
I can’t tell you how I hate to start down this road of attacking John Boehner, but the time has come, at least for me. I have gone along with cutting programs each and every week, but believed it when told in the long run they would get the job done. I didn’t like the continual Continuing Resolutions after the first one. THEN I read this week, that as we cut a mighty $6 Billion, on the same day we added another $72 Billion to the debt. Mark Steyn is saying John Boehner is wearing Bob Dole’s suit, and Mark Levine says Boehner has weakened the Republican Party. I agree with both Marks.
Mark Levin points to Boehner’s refusal to use a government shutdown to make happen what we desperately need to happen:

“You weakened your own hand, you weakened the Republican Party, but more importantly you’re undermining conservative principles and the case we need to make. Why do you think Obama’s not negotiating with you, Mr. Boehner? Why do you think Mr. Reid could care less what you have to say? Because you have now backed yourself into a corner. They know your recent $6 billion in cuts. They know very well because those were the cuts they offered and same with the $4 billion before that. Those $10 billion in cuts were offered by the liberal Democrats. Now what are you going to do?”
{*}
"I think John Boehner has basically climbed into the Bob Dole suit, and I think they misunderstand the lessons of the 2010 election, which is that the tea party chose to work within the diseased husk of the Republican Party it loathes."

Approval for First-Ever Use DFPS

March 17, 2011
by Kate Durio
The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) today provided the final approval necessary for Petrobras America, Inc. to begin oil and natural gas production at its Chinook-Cascade project using a Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) facility. This will be the first time this technology is used in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. BOEMRE approved the project's Production Safety System permit and Supplemental Deepwater Operating Plan (DWOP), to ensure that stringent safety regulations were met. The FPSO has a production capacity of 80,000 barrels of oil per day and 16 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. With the completion of [....]

"Clown Prince" Weekly Blather; March 26th

A Patriotic Response To The "Clown Prince;" 03/26/2011

barackingham Palace
District of Corruption
March 26, 2011

Last week, when I ordered our armed forces to help protect the Libyan people from the brutality of Moammar Qaddafi, I pledged to keep the American people fully informed. Since then, I’ve spoken about the limited scope and specific purpose of this mission. Today, I can report that thanks to our brave men and women in uniform, we’ve made important progress.  As Commander in Chief, I face no greater decision than sending our military men and women into harm’s way. And the United States should not—and cannot—intervene every time there’s a crisis somewhere in the world.  But I firmly believe that when innocent people are being brutalized; when someone like Qaddafi threatens a bloodbath that could destabilize an entire region; and when the international community is prepared to come together to save many thousands of lives—then it’s in our national interest to act. And it’s our responsibility. This is one of those times.  Our military mission in Libya is clear and focused. Along with our allies and partners, we’re enforcing the mandate of the United Nations Security Council. We’re protecting the Libyan people from Qaddafi’s forces. And we’ve put in place a no fly zone and other measures to prevent further atrocities.  We’re succeeding in our mission. We’ve taken out Libya’s air defenses. Qaddafi’s forces are no longer advancing across Libya. In places like Benghazi, a city of some 700,000 that Qaddafi threatened to show “no mercy,” his forces have been pushed back. So make no mistake, because we acted quickly, a humanitarian catastrophe has been avoided and the lives of countless civilians—innocent men, women and children—have been saved.
[What I'm not telling you I don't seem to remember if Colonel Qaddafi was included in my 'Worldwide Apology Tour, 2009 Edition,' but I seem to recollect hugging, kissing and bowing to him.  I thought then "....why is this guy still a colonel, after over 40 years as a dictator....?"  I should hope that I'm promoted from president to--at least--emperor after 40 years as America's chief executive!!  'Emperor-For-Life' would be more suitable!!  Now I'm going to take credit--as always--for the happenings in Libya;  I instructed the "three-girls-in-a-room" (Secretary Hillary Clinton, Dep't of State; Samantha Power, National Security Council; Susan Rice, UN ambassador) to make a decision on the United States' response to the Libyan 'event.'  The 'three-girls' decision was to institute a 'no-fly zone.'  I certainly--privately--commend the 'three-girls' on their speed in accomplishing this; publically, the credit is all mine!
Notice how George Soros and I 'cherry-pick' the events which we classify as potential 'bloodbaths' that require American 'kinetic military action.'   Mr Soros also came up with that euphemism for the non-war war!!  How would it look for someone who was award the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize--just because he thought about peace a couple of times in his past--to go around starting "non-war" wars?!?]
As I pledged at the outset, the role of American forces has been limited. We are not putting any ground forces into Libya. Our military has provided unique capabilities at the beginning, but this is now a broad, international effort. Our allies and partners are enforcing the no fly zone over Libya and the arms embargo at sea. Key Arab partners like Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have committed aircraft. And as agreed this week, responsibility for this operation is being transferred from the United States to our NATO allies and partners.  This is how the international community should work—more nations, not just the United States, bearing the responsibility and cost of upholding peace and security.  This military effort is part of our larger strategy to support the Libyan people and hold the Qaddafi regime accountable. Together with the international community, we’re delivering urgent humanitarian assistance. We’re offering support to the Libyan opposition. We’ve frozen tens of billions of dollars of Qaddafi’s assets that can help meet the needs and aspirations of the Libyan people. And every day, the pressure on Qaddafi and his regime is increasing.
[What I'm not telling you: The Libyan Air Force--at one time--had a whopping, grand total of 374 'combat-capable' aircraft in it's inventory.  It's defeat by the 'allies'  fighter and attack force totals of approximately 2,600 aircraft, will be noted as a "hiccup" in military history, but a major "liberty-of-the-truth" in the memoirs of my tenure as Emperor.  All things being equal-the Libyan opposition is probably made up of 'Muslim Brotherhood' members, much like that of Egypt!!  Outwardly, I intend to 'question the viability' of giving materiel to the opposition forces in either nation; in private--among the czars of my 'shadow regime'--I'll advocate for giving the thuggery of each country, automatic weapons, SAMs, shoulder-fired weapons- anything they can use to ensure the 'Muslin Brotherhood' attain and maintain, power.]
Our message is clear and unwavering. Qaddafi’s attacks against civilians must stop. His forces must pull back. Humanitarian assistance must be allowed to reach those in need. Those responsible for violence must be held accountable. Moammar Qaddafi has lost the confidence of his people and the legitimacy to rule, and the aspirations of the Libyan people must be realized.  In recent days, we’ve heard the voices of Libyans expressing their gratitude for this mission. “You saved our lives,” said one Libyan. Said another, “Today, there is hope.”  Every American can be proud of the lives we’ve saved in Libya and of the service of our men and women in uniform who once again have stood up for our interests and our ideals. And people in Libya and around the world are seeing that the United States of America stands with those who hope for a future where they can determine their own destiny.
[What I'm not telling you:  If we use the same factual/statistical information as applied to "Mo's" 'legitimacy-to-rule;' then I would be tossed out of 'barackingham Palace' on my ass!!  Much the same way I've transferred as much of America's oil sourcing to Petrobras of Brazil, we will stand with others to whom we can transfer other segments of the American foreign sourcing!!]

Benefits Of Being A "Clown Prince" Buddy!
Jeff Immelt is proving that 'it pays' to be one of the "Clown Prince's" a$$hole buddies.  Immelt was appointed by owe-bama to chair the "President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness;"  pretty much a no-show job, given that jobs are nonexistent and America's competitiveness is being 'sold down the river!'
Immelt's "other job" is CEO of General Electric, a recipient of $16 Billion in PORKulus funds  the company really didn't need-other than it was free 'owe-bama money' and Immelt could pay it back on HIS schedule, if ever.  Now we find that G.E. had American profits of $5.1 Billion out of the worldwide total profit of $14.2 Billion.  The company sure needed their share of 'owe-bama money,' didn't they?!?  Care to hazard a guess as to how much tax the American profits generated to the Treasury Department?!? Zero-Zip-NAD'DA!!  Not only did G.E. not pay any taxes, the company actually qualified for and claimed a $3.2 Billion tax credit!!  That's how being an owe-bama "a$$hole buddy" pays off!!

This'n'That; March Twenty-Sixth #1; Portsmouth, N.H.

....A Place That Helped Me Mature....
I hadn't thought about Portsmouth (N.H.) in some time;  and then, usually only in  a melancholy state-of-mind!  A place and time wherein I'd gained a lot; I'd lost a lot.  I didn't know the place even existed until after I'd been assigned to Pease Air Force Base, just outside the city.  Anyone who was 'in' during the mid-1960s and before, will remember that an Airman Third Class (E-2) was paid approximately "zero-point-crap."  After everything was taken out, my twice-monthly checks were less than $22.00!!  With that money, several things had to happen: two cartons of 'Lucy Strike' cigarettes (twenty packs to last fifteen days-at $2.40 per carton!);  about a $5-6 expense at the local 'One-Hour Martinizing' (as an 'Air Policeman,' my uniforms had to be constantly without fault);  and, and..... a "Moe-burger" (my nickname for the greatest sandwich on earth; at that time--if memory serves--about $2.00 a copy)!!
Where I'm goin' with all this; actually how I got started with all this: a news article on the internet about counterfeit $10s and $20s being passed at local Portsmouth sandwich shops.  When I clicked on--and read--the article, I found a tab for local businesses.  Just to see what had survived the ravages of time, I clicked there, and whad'dya know?!?  'Moe's Italian Sandwiches' had survived!!  Not only survived, they'd expanded from the original shop on Daniel Street to a total of nine shops in various New Hampshire cities.  Moe's sandwiches were of a particular delight to me.  Coming from a little "burg" in New York's western Southern Tier, we had no such delicacy!  I suggest any newcomer or visitor to the city be sure to try one of these sandwiches!!
Portsmouth; the city, it's people, it's rich history are treasures to explore.  It's the city that introduced me to my future wife.  The first of four children was born in the area-actually at the 'Portsmouth Naval Shipyard' in Kittery, Maine.  The shipyard has probably gone the way of the air base, slowly sliding into obsolescence; into non-existence.
Enough of my meanderings-all this blather only because some mutt tried to pass counterfeit bills in Portsmouth's sandwich shops!!

This'n'That; March Twenty-Fifth #3; Soros' New-World-Order

Soros Planning His "New-World-Order!"
(....and No One Seems To Care!!)
In their usual vein of 'journalistic malpractice,' the National Pamphleteers are completely ignoring the next--possibly the most devastating--attack on United States' sovereignty!!  George Soros--ever the planner--will co-host an April Eighth economic conference in conjunction with the "Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET)" which he 'owns' along with over EIGHTY other fascist, socialist, communistic, marxist websites.  Have ya' heard about it?!? Most probably-NO!!  The planning for this event is going on while the National Pamphleteer corps is emulating "Clown Prince" owe-bama: by journalistically 'playing golf;' by journalistically 'making their NCAA picks;' by journalistically 'taking monthly international vacations;' by journalistically 'being "owned" by George Soros!!'
This INET/Soros conference will be an 'updated model' of it's forerunner-the (1944) United Nations Monetary and Financial Conference at Bretton Woods.  The Soros conference will even be held in the same New Hampshire resort that hosted the first conference.
The United Nations Monetary and Financial Conference at Bretton Woods (of 1944-whew!!) essentially remade the free-world's views on international monetization, trade, economics and dispute settlement methods.  The 'conference' agreed:
  • ....that broad international action is necessary to maintain an international monetary system which will promote foreign trade.
  • ....the nations should consult and agree on international monetary changes which affect each other.
  • ....the nations here represented should establish for these purposes a permanent international body, The International Monetary Fund with powers and resources adequate to perform the tasks assigned to it.
  • ....on those powers and resources and the additional obligations which member nations should undertake.
  • ....Draft Articles of Agreement had been prepared.
  • ....that post-war (WWII) reconstruction should be rapid.
  • ....that development of resources of particular regions is in the general economic interest.
  • ....that reconstruction and development will speed economic progress everywhere.
  • ....that reconstruction and development will aid political stability and foster peace.
  • ....that expanded international investment is essential for reconstruction and development.
  • ....that the nations should cooperate to increase the volumne of foreign investment through normal business channels.
  • ....that the nations should cooperate to share the risks of said foreign investment.
  • ....that the nations should form an international body:  The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
  • ....that 'the Bank' should guarantee loans made by other member nations.
  • ....on the powers and resources 'the Bank' must have and on the obligations member nations must assume.

George Soros' latest fascist undertaking is the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET). INET's current initiatives include:
  • Grants: INET awards individual grants in two cycles each year to individuals or teams proposing research in new economic thinking.
  • Task Forces: INET periodically identifies critical issues requiring in-depth research and will fund a task force to undertake the work, typically over several years.
  • Conferences: INET stages a series of conferences and regional meetings held around the world that bring people from different fields and schools of thought together to debate on vital issues and questions that urgently require new economic thinking.
  • Partnerships: INET is establishing partnerships with leading thought centers (universities, think-tanks and other research-oriented institutions) around the world to provide intellectual hubs aligned with the INET mission and supporting local communities of innovators.
  • INET Online:INET’s website provides a rich environment for learning and collaboration around economics.
(SOURCE: http://ineteconomics.org/about)

One needs but to peruse this website to see that it falls into line with the fascist principles George Soros learned while working for the Nazis during WWII.  The site serves to promote and expand Mr Soros' "schemes-and-dreams" of the destruction of any democracy and all free market economies on the planet.
....and no one seems to care!!
Do the current American junta's owe-bamacRATs not realize that they will become just another segment of Soros' victims; that they will suffer with the rest of us as America's transformed into just another 'third-world rathole?!?'
Wake-up, AMERICA!!

....and the WBZ hierarchy proves it!!  In what must have been a last-ditch effort, this guy named Pat Desmarais sat in on Steve's first night away from the microphone.  Mr LaVeille seems to be a staunch owe-bamacRAT who understands that most of the elected owe-bamacRATs--as well as the regime--haven't a clue on what to do to correct/repair the economy, the jobs market, the energy crisis, the banking crisis, the military crises around the world, et al.  Mr Desmarais is a RINO who seems Hell-bent on propping up a failing American fascist.
Come ON, Steve!!  Ya gotta "take one for the team!!"  After the surgery, your arm will probably be in a sling; not your mouth!  You can still do everything you did before-with the exception of any housework 'Miz Diane' might ask you to do.  So, take a day or two-then show up for work for your Sunday-into-Monday shift.
