This'n'That;October 15th[Gov'tControl;AIG-Bonuses;ACORNFunding;Rush-Rams;Rush-Out]

Tell Me It Ain't All About The "Control!!"
Michele Bachmann, repbublicRAT Rep, MN, revealed a startling statistic on yesterday's Glenn Beck radio program. “The federal government owns or controls 30 percent of private wealth” in America.
Where’d she get that? It is the result of analysis by William Boyes, Professor of Economics, W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State Unifersity. He revealed: "I simply added up how much of GDP [gross domestic product] was govt run or govt controlled. I gave an approximation that is pretty conservative. I suspect the actual number is more like 40%; if health care goes through then it will rise to over 50%.
obama Control Backfiring!!
Fluffy obama's "Pay Czar," Kenneth Feinberg, thinks he's cracking down on troubled insurer American International Group, telling it to reduce the $198 million in retention bonuses scheduled to be doled out to employees in March. Feinberg's message comes as AIG officials struggle to recoup $45 million of last year's $168 million bonus payments. The bonuses set off a national firestorm as taxpayers trashed the idea of giving lavish payouts to a firm that needed more than $180 billion in government rescue money just to stay afloat. The $198 million to be paid out in March represents a reduction of 17 percent from the original plan to pay $238 million. In a leaked report from the office of Special Inspector General Neil Barofsky, noted that AIG has collected just $19 million of the $45 million it promised to recoup from the most recent bonus debacle. As the bonus payments are part of an iron-clad contract with employees, AIG has had to finagle employees to return the funds voluntarily, or cut staff to reduce future payments. "AIG continues to discuss a variety of compensation issues with [Feinberg], including future payments to employees of AIG Financial Products," the firm said in a statement. "Employees have until the end of the year to fulfill their commitments to return a portion of their March 2009 payment," and AIG expects "employees will honor their commitments." Barofsky's report blames the Treasury for the AIG bonus controversy, saying it invested billions of taxpayer funds "without having any detailed information about the scope of AIG's very substantial, and very controversial, executive compensation obligations."

...And We thought "Slick-Willie" Was Slick!!!

Man-Oh-Man-Oh-Man!! "Slick-Willie" ain't got nuthin' on Fluffy obama!!! obama has used the federal banking regulations to ensure that ACORN has it's funding restored-which will happen in the middle of the night, on Halloween!! This is even after the House voted on Thursday [09/17/009] to deny all federal funds for ACORN, the scandal-tainted community organizing group. "ACORN has violated serious federal laws, and today the House voted to ensure that taxpayer dollars would no longer be used to fund this corrupt organization," said second-ranked House Republican Eric Cantor of Virginia. The vote, on a provision attached to a student aid bill, was 345-75, with Democrats supplying all the "no" votes. The previous Monday, the Senate voted 83-7 to deny housing and community grant funding to ACORN [ Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now ]. Now we find the "Fluffy-Slick" crap that returns ACORN's funding, albeit "through the back door."

The 1977 Community Reinvestment Act was intended to end redlining, a practice in which banks in effect walled off many inner-city neighborhoods from mortgage loans. But some GOP lawmakers say it has outlived its purpose and is being used inappropriately by ACORN to shake down banks for money. They want to repeal the law, scale it back or at least block a Democratic proposal to expand it.

ACORN found its way into the mortgage business through the Community Reinvestment Act, legislation that community groups have used as a cudgel to force lenders to lower their mortgage underwriting standards in order to make more loans in low-income communities. Often the groups, after making protests under CRA, were then rewarded by banks with contracts to act as mortgage counselors in low-income areas in return for dropping their protests against the banks. In one particularly lucrative deal, 14 major banks eager to put CRA protests behind them, signed an agreement to have ACORN administer a $55 million, 11-city lending program. ACORN has been so bold in the past as to extort "donations" from banks and financial institutions!! And ACORN hasn't been alone. A U.S. senate subcommittee once estimated that CRA-related deals between banks and community groups have pumped nearly $10 billion into the nonprofit sector.

CAIR Attempts Congressional Infiltration Four House RepublicRATs on Wednesday accused the nation's largest Muslim advocacy group of trying to "infiltrate" Capitol Hill by placing interns in the offices of lawmakers who handle national security issues. The four lawmakers, members of the anti-terror caucus, asked for an investigation into the Council on American Islamic Relations after discovering an internal memo noting the group's strategy. They also highlighted a new book by Paul Sperry titled "Muslim Mafia," scheduled for release on Thursday, which claims the group has been actively infiltrating Congress. Reps. Sue Myrick of North Carolina, Trent Franks of Arizona, Paul Broun of Georgia and John Shadegg of Arizona asked the Internal Revenue Service to determine whether CAIR deserves its nonprofit status. They also are asking their colleagues to review a summary of findings that led the Justice Department to name CAIR as a co-conspirator in a terrorism case. The internal memo stated that CAIR would "focus on influencing congressmen responsible for policy that directly impacts the American Muslim community." The memo cited three House committees -- Homeland Security, Intelligence and the Judiciary -- as panels on which lawmakers preside over policy affecting American Muslims. "We will develop national initiatives such as a lobby day and placing Muslim interns in Congressional offices," the memo read. Earlier this year the FBI severed its once-close ties with CAIR as evidence mounted of the group's links to a support network for Hamas, which the U.S. has designated a terrorist organization.

Some Networks Continue To "Trash" Rush
CNN and MSNBC were given ample opportunity to come clean, but both are continuing to masquerade malicious lies [against Rush Limbaugh] as credible," Media Research Center President and NewsBusters Publisher Brent Bozell said in a statement today. Yesterday, Bozell promised to report back publicly with how CNN and MSNBC responded to his challenge to put up – or shut up – proof that Rush Limbaugh actually stated the racist quote that both cable networks attributed to him as fact, or to immediately retract and apologize for their participation in spreading an outlandish lie. Talk show giant Limbaugh denied having ever stated, “Slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back. I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.” Further, it has been established that this was a fabrication pushed through the Internet, intentionally designed to destroy Mr. Limbaugh’s reputation at a time he is attempting to purchase a professional football team. In addition to this public call to action, Mr. Bozell overnighted letters to CNN President Jonathan Klein and MSNBC President Phil Griffin to ensure both took the matter seriously. Both CNN and MSNBC failed to respond appropriately. CNN’s Rick Sanchez, who was responsible for pushing this lie initially, had the gall to repeat the lie but this time also attaching Mr. Limbaugh’s denial, suggesting the truth was unclear when the truth is absolutely crystal clear. CNN neither apologized nor retracted. MSNBC was even worse, continuing to repeat this smear on MSNBC Live. Neither showed any initiative to source the fabricated quote, nor did either network retract or apologize for spreading the false propaganda on their broadcast airwaves. Instead, both CNN and MSNBC repeated the fictitious statement that was created to smear Rush Limbaugh and his character.
Well, It Worked!!
[Why is it......?? Seems that the slimmiest assholes on the planet hold sway over the fascist media!! Take for instance, all the sports pundits, teleprompter readers [NOT Fluffy, this time!!] AND the two slimy assholes who campaigned against Rush's minority stake in the purchase of the StLouis Rams. Jesse Jackson, extortionist-extraordinaire; possibly the most vile human on the planet and his friend, the equally vile Al Sharpton, took to the airwaves in their character assination of Rush Limbaugh. Rush's most anti-social activity has been his abuse of prescription drugs, while Jackson has fathered at least two illegitimate children; extorted millions of dollars for his quasi-charitable organizations; uses funds from those organizations to pay palimony, child support, rent and expenses to two of the recipients of his casual sexual escapades, while Sharpton was the architect of the infamous "Twana Brawley" hoax which forced an innocent policeman into trial; has yet to pay the court-ordered $65,000 retribution which was assessed in 1987!! AND YET, the fascist media believes their lies and unsourced drivel over a "taxpaying" citizen, who at least HAS A JOB!!! Sure, Rush has millions and earns millions annually!! Is it not his perogative to spend or invest it as he sees fit?? Apparently, not-according to those who buy their clout with extorted dollars!!]
With criticism mounting, Dave Checketts, the sports businessman leading a group vying for the National Football League franchise, dumped the controversial conservative talk show host just days after Mr. Limbaugh disclosed his intent to buy a minority interest in the team. "Rush was to be a limited partner—as such, he would have had no say in the direction of the club or in any decisions regarding personnel or operations," Mr. Checketts, owner of the NHL's St. Louis Blues, said in a statement released Wednesday. "This was a role he enthusiastically embraced. However, it has become clear that his involvement in our group has become a complication and a distraction to our intentions; endangering our bid to keep the team in St. Louis. As such, we have decided to move forward without him and hope it will eventually lead us to a successful conclusion."
On his radio show Wednesday, Mr. Limbaugh said the controversy surrounding his participation in the bid "is not about the NFL, it's not about the St. Louis Rams, it's not about me. This is about the ongoing effort by the left in this country, wherever you find them, in the media, the Democrat Party, or wherever, to destroy conservatism, to prevent the mainstreaming of anyone who is prominent as a conservative."
