Why should this tragedy be any different? The "Clown Prince" is in beginning throes of 'the fight of his life:' RE-ELECTION!! To exerpt his Tucson blather opportunity:
"But what we can't do is use this tragedy as one more occasion to turn on one another. As we discuss these issues, let each of us do so with a good dose of humility. Rather than pointing fingers or assigning blame, let us use this occasion to expand our moral imaginations, to listen to each other more carefully, to sharpen our instincts for empathy, and remind ourselves of all the ways our hopes and dreams are bound together."
"If this tragedy prompts reflection and debate, as it should, let's make sure it's worthy of those we have lost. Let's make sure it's not on the usual plane of politics and point scoring and pettiness that drifts away with the next news cycle."
One early question comes to mind: Did Sheriff Dupnik listen to--or read--obama's 'remarks?'
As I mentioned in the 01/12th 'edition' of this blog; look for a White House 'makeover' of staff and advisors, in the run-up to November, 2012!

What was originally billed as a Memorial, a tribute to the slain and the wounded in the Arizona tragedy, quickly turned into a "Clown Prince" obama Memorial Pep Rally. Along with the "Clown Prince," the rally starred 'big sis' Janet Napolitano and "General" Holder, among many, many others too numerous to list!! I could only suffer 3 or 4 minutes of the blather opportunity inwhich obama indicated without saying:
Even though The Justice Department, "General" Holder and I are suing your asses off for inforcing federal immigration laws that we refuse to; we're here for you to lean on so long as you 'don't wrinkle the suit!!'
Mark Twain (Samuel L. Clemens) |
I found this article in the Hornell Evening Tribune. Hornell--in New York State's Souther Tier--is not far west of Elmira where Mark Twain maintained a summer home.

Want A Job With The New York State Troopers?
Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday he was “shocked” to learn 28 top officers in the state police got raises of more than $20,000 last month as some 900 state workers were facing layoffs. The new governor said he’ll review the increases, which were requested by the police agency after a union agreement bumped some majors to $170,756 salaries, topping executive staff pay.
The executive raises, first reported by WNYT television in Albany following a Freedom of Information Law request, boost staff inspectors to $173,756 yearly and the first deputy superintendent to $182,756 with assistant deputy and deputy superintendents in between. “I was surprised and shocked,” Cuomo said, questioning raises at a time when others faced layoffs. “We’re going to be reviewing it today.” In a letter to the state Budget Division, Assistant Deputy Police Superintendent [....]

Folks, Ya Can't Make This Crap Up!!
Here's an excerpt of some remarks Nancy PORKlosi made to get face-time; in response to the Arizona TRAGEDY:
“This resolution is a fitting tribute. It is a great resolution. Please, read it again and again. Carry those names in your heart. Remember, each of these people because, again, a tragic accident took lives, wounded people in the expression of ideas.”No, Nancy..... Here on earth, Barney Frank is a tragic accident; the SOROS/"Clown Prince" obama regime is a tragic accident.... Oh, and yourself, of course!!http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/32085
Til Nex'Time....
Hornell, N.Y. — That rumbling noise Tuesday was Mark Twain rolling over in his Elmira grave.I found the following in the 'wiki' biography of Mark Twain:
NewSouth Books, a publishing company in Alabama, announced last week it will replace racial epithets in Twain’s “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.” A release on NewSouth’s website said the new versions will be available in February.
In his introduction to the new texts, editor Alan Gribben said the “n-word” appeared four times in “Sawyer” and over 200 times in “Finn.” Barbara Snedecor, director of the Elmira College Center for Mark Twain Studies, said the reprint was surprising given Twain’s literary contributions. Both classics were written at Quarry Farm, Twain’s family retreat on a hill above Elmira. “I don’t believe we should rewrite history, or even that we can,” said Snedecor. “Even if a teacher chooses this new edition, the notoriety will cause the discussion anyway. It’s an American classic. We know it’s there. “It’s pretty amazing that the man who introduced vernacular speech and brought realism into our language is now having his work altered.” Linda Underhill, author and faculty mentor in the [....]
"Though he made a great deal of money from his writings and lectures, he squandered it on various ventures, in particular the Paige Compositor, and was forced to declare bankruptcy. With the help of Henry Huttleston Rogers, however, he eventually overcame his financial troubles. Twain worked hard to ensure that all of his creditors were paid in full, even though his bankruptcy had relieved him of the legal responsibility."
