This'n'That; February Sixth #2; Fingers!!

    I found this in the Wordpress "Freshly Pressed" section.  I thought it important enough, exciting enough to re-publish it and JUST SOME of the reference material.  The entry I found is labeled '#3' in the Lie-Barry, and I've included the two previous ones.  I think entries on this particular topic (the robotic fingers) go further previous than these three.  Here's Entry #3:

Liam’s birthday Robohand!

Liam is now the owner of a functional, comfortable device that increases what his right hand can accomplish. The evening before his birthday, Liam and his parents (Rory and Yolandi) stopped by Richard’s workshop to pick up the completed hand.
Not only did this device cost $0 for Liam’s family, but the design itself is now public-domain. There is no patent, the details of this design can be used freely by anyone. The specific CAD files used to print the components are available for free-download here.
It was a long day, but Liam was kind enough to demonstrate using his new hand on video:

Liam took his new hand with him to his doctor’s appointment today and also to school! His mother Yolandi says,
“Finish with Hand Clinic yay Dr’s are VERY impressed with Liam’s Robohand. No operations to be done as yet which is awesome. Amazing stuff to happen very soon. Liam has had so far an fantastic day not shy at all to show all his Robohand. His little school he goes to was a huge hit all the teacher’s & kiddies were in awe its been a super duper day. Thank you all for the birthday wishes to Liam much appreciated xxx”
Richard and Ivan are deeply grateful for the support of their families (Beth Rademeyer Van As & Jen Owen, you ladies are both indescribably awesome!), thankful for Rory & Yolandi for taking a chance on two crazy guys with an idea and for all the people who have helped with this project.
A special thank you as well to Makerbot for providing the machines that made it possible to produce light-weight, inexpensive components for Liam’s hand!
With what we have learned by working with Liam, we see this as just the beginning. From here we want to carry this forward, to find other “Liams” out there who could benefit from the designs and techniques we are exploring.

To My Wordpress Friends and Followers:

Some HUGE Mistakes On My Part!
    Yesterday I bought a new laptop: a Toshiba.  This may or may not prove to have been a mistake.
A confirmed mistake: buying any computer with Windows 7 pre-installed!!
    Previously, I've always had Windows XP since it's initial availability.  I even opted to revert from Windows VISTA to Windows SP; an option that was available on a new computer I purchased years ago.  That option is not available for Windows 7.  In fact XP is no longer supported by Microsoft.
    Due to--my perception--the 'suckiness' of Windows 7, I can no longer publish on the Wordpress site, it just won't allow me to copy-and-paste from 'Blogger'--where all my posts are originally composed and initially published--to 'Wordpress.'  As it is at this moment, I can compose and publish on the Toshiba to Blogspot, but to publish to Wordpress I have to fire up this ol' "hand-cranked" desktop computer... and quite frankly, the squirrels are gettin' tired!!
Sadly--unless or until I alleviate Windows 7s suckiness--this will be the last post on Wordpress!  I invite all my Wordpress friends and followers to join--and follow--me at blogspot.com

This'n'That; August Eighth #2; Don't Bother!!

Does "Thoughts.Com" Censure Blog Entries?
    I stumbled upon www.thoughts.com for two reasons; first, I was having trouble logging onto my www.justincase505.blogspot.com account, so.... I naturally thought the reason was that I had avoided giving "Google, Inc" more than the minimum information possible (they wanted to know EVERYTHING about me).  Secondly, I was attempting to reach a different demographic, a younger, more international audience with my conservative thoughts and blatherings.

    Well, it kinda-sorta worked!  I first got an account as 'justincase505' in keeping with the self-identifying title as my other two blogs (the other being www.justincase505.wordpress.com ; If you read one, you've read both, 'wordpress' is a re-post of 'blogspot').  I was able to get a 'justincase505' account with 'thoughts' and posted some--maybe 8-10--conservative posts, then was unable to log onto my account subsequent to those posts.  Well, being in my sixties, I just figured it was my fault and created a second 'thoughts' account: 'JustinCaseToo.'  On the day of the second creation, I posted two current entries, and then posted about 4-5 more that were older but I considered important enough to disseminate further.  That was two days ago; I haven't been able to log-on since!!

The Bilderberg Group's U.S. Ruler

    I can reach no other conclusion than my blog entries were too conservative for the webmasters at www.thoughts.com!!  I tend to tell it like I see it, and I see The Bilderberg Group into the U.S.' federal governance up-to-their-eyeballs!!  I see "Clown Prince" obama for the complete fraud that he is!!
Can you see any other reason for my inability to log-on to either of my www.thoughts.com accounts?

This'n'That; April Twentieth #1; Why?!?

If It Ain't Broke, Why Did Blogspot 'Fix' It?!?
    We--the bloggers using Blogspot--are now involuntarily subjected to a new format for blogging on the site.  As is the norm for tinkerers; they believe in fixing "for fixing's sake."  What ever the subject is, it doesn't matter whether it needs fixing or not; the moronic-boobs at Blogspot are intent on 'fixing' something!
    The old format generally worked fine; it was easily understood; it was easily  navigated.  The site did/does have problems:  Try writing a blog with quotes, particularly when said quotes are a different text color for added emphasis!  There's no telling where--in the body of the blog--the quotes will end up!  The author can count on every word following the quote to be the quote's color.
    The moronic-boobs at Blogspot seemed not to care that these inconsistencies existed, so far as I know, none were ever addressed.  I solved the problem for myself:  I started simultaneously posted my original Blogspot post on the 'Wordpress' site; now I automatically re-post to 'Wordpress.'
In a word.... this site now--officially--SUCKS!!
Now may be the time for a permanent switch to 'Wordpress!'
That's my 'bitch' for the day!!

This'n'That; October Eleventh#2; My Blogs

Oh, The idiosyncrasies!
    During the latter part of my tenure here, writing a blog, it started rearranging the sequence of the paragraphs; of the indented quotes.  To solve that problem, I turned to the 'wordpress' blog site, but they had their own idiosyncrasies!
    I continued to 'draft' each entry with blogspot, then copy'n'paste the title, the body and the labels onto a corresponding, exact 'wordpress' entry.  After the c'n'p, I'd publish the entry on blogspot then 'view entry.'  At this viewing, the sequence would be all screwed up so I'd edit in the phrase: [For an in-sequence 'read:'  http://www.justincase505.wordpress.com/]!
    When I went back to view the finished product in blogspot, the order would be as I had written it!!  Unable to figure out a repair, I just continue to add the suggestion at the top of the blogspot entry.  So, if the 3 or 4 of you who read entries  that DO NOT mention "stauer scam," you don't necessarily have to follow my suggestion; only if the order appears out-of-order to you!!  Thanks for reading!!
