April 21, 2012    Hi, everybody. As I’m sure you’ve noticed over the past few weeks, the price at your local pump has been going up and up. And because it’s an election year, so has the temperature of our political rhetoric.  What matters most to me right now is the impact that rising prices have on you. When you’ve got to spend more on gas, you’ve got less to spend on everything else. It makes things harder. So I wanted to take a minute this weekend to explain what steps my Administration is taking when it comes to energy – most importantly, producing more of it while using less of it.  The truth is: the price of gas depends on a lot of factors that are often beyond our control. Unrest in the Middle East can tighten global oil supply. Growing nations like China or India adding cars to the road increases demand. But one thing we should control is fraud and manipulation that can cause prices to spike even further.
[What I'm not telling you: You have me to thank!!?!!  I'll continue to try to convince my subjects that everyone but me; every country but mine; every reason but mine, is responsible for America's astronomical rise in fuel prices.  As I--your exalted ruler--may have mentioned previously, gas prices have gone from $1.83 at my immaculation to the current $3.87; an increase approaching 120%!!  The primary causes are my non-existent domestic energy policy relating to fossil fuels as well as my socio-fascist mindset of pricing said fossil fuels out-of-existence!!
    George Soros as well as other members of the Bilderberg Group are urging me to hammer the incorrect concept of 'oil speculators!'  While I--your exalted ruler--continually whine about them, no one has pointed to an individual or group as actual 'oil speculators.'  I--your exalted ruler--could drop the gas prices by 18-cents per gallon with a stroke of my pen, temporarily staying the federal fuel price.  But.... why do that?!?  It will not follow the aforementioned mindset!!]    For years, traders at financial firms were able to game the energy markets, distort the price of oil, and make big profits for themselves at your expense. And they were able to do all that because of major gaps and loopholes in our regulations. When I took office, we did something about it.  The Wall Street reforms I signed into law are helping bring energy markets out of the shadows and under real oversight. They’re strengthening our ability to go after fraud and to prevent traders from manipulating the market. So it’s not just wrong, but dangerous that some in Congress want to roll back those protections and return to the days when companies like Enron could avoid regulation and reap enormous profits, no matter who it hurt.  What’s more, at a time when big oil companies are making more money than ever before, we’re still giving them $4 billion of your tax dollars in subsidies every year. Your member of Congress should be fighting for you. Not for big financial firms. Not for big oil companies.
[What I'm not telling you:  Lies, more lies and dam' lies!!  Sorry folks, I--your exalted ruler--don't think there's room for a single "Clown Prince" truism in this week's blather opportunity!  Aside from my blather in the negative, commodities traders perform a vauable service for the wholesaler and the largest of fuel consumers.  They establish prices of some commodities where none previously existed.  They provide regional, national and international prices of the more common commodities, rather than 'one-price-fits-all,' which would be my regime's approach.  That 'Enron' reference:  what'a stretch that was!  Enron was nothing more than a "Bernie Madoff-esque scam," not at all common, although the regime would like to see more.  We--socio-fascists in the District of Corruption--consider scams of that type to be private sector wealth re-distribution, and while they take the socio-fascist 'out-of-the-loop' they do accomplish the owe-bama Regime's monetary objectives!  
    One of the grandest, most outrageous lies Soros and Bilderberg want me to promote is the 'subsidies for Big Oil!'  What's going on with 'Big Oil' are not "subsidies" by any stretch of the imagination!!  This $4 Billion I--your exalted ruler--keep whining about is nothing more than LEGAL tax deductions written into the current IRS Code!!  My use of the words subsidy, subsidize and subsidies serve no other purposes than to constantly vilify 'Big Oil' in the public eye as well as continuing to promote my "class warfare" campaign platform!!]
    In the next few weeks, I expect Congress to vote on ending these subsidies. And when they do, we’re going to put every single Member of Congress on record: They can either stand up for oil companies, or they can stand up for the American people. They can either place their bets on a fossil fuel from the last century, or they can place their bets on America’s future. So make your voice heard. Send your representative an email. Give them a call. Tell them to stand with you.  And tell them to be honest with you. It’s easy to promise a quick fix when it comes to gas prices. There just isn’t one. Anyone who tells you otherwise – any career politician who promises some three-point plan for two-dollar gas – they’re not looking for a solution. They’re just looking for your vote.  If we’re truly going to make sure we’re not at the mercy of spikes in gas prices every year, the answer isn’t just to drill more – because we’re already drilling more. Under my Administration, we’re producing more oil here at home than at any time in the last eight years, that’s a fact. We’ve quadrupled the number of operating oil rigs to a record high, that’s a fact. And we’ve opened millions of acres on land and offshore to develop more of our domestic resources.  Those are the facts. But we can’t just rely on drilling. Not when we use more than 20 percent of the world’s oil, but still only have 2 percent of the world’s known oil reserves. If we don’t develop other sources of energy, and the technology to use less energy, we’ll continue to be dependent on foreign countries for our energy needs. That’s why we’re pursuing an all-of-the-above strategy. As we develop more oil and gas, we’re also developing wind and solar power; biofuels, and next-generation vehicles – and thousands of Americans have jobs right now because of it. We need to keep making those investments – because I don’t want to see those jobs go to other countries. I want to create even more of them right here in America.  And after three decades of inaction, we raised fuel economy standards so that by the middle of the next decade, our cars will average nearly 55 miles per gallon. That’s nearly double what they get today. That means you’ll only have to fill up every two weeks instead of every week. And that will save the typical family more than $8,000 over the life of the car – just by using less gas.  Combined, these steps have helped put us on a path to greater energy independence. Since I took office, America’s dependence on foreign oil has gone down every single year. In 2010, for the first time in 13 years, less than half the oil we used came from foreign countries.  We can do even better. And we will. But what we can’t do is keep being dependent on other countries for our energy needs. In America we control our own destiny. So that’s the choice we face – the past, or the future. And America is what it is today because we have always placed our bets on the future.
[What I'm not telling you:  Furthermore, I--your exalted ruler--actually expect Members of Congress to stand up for the American people BY STANDING UP FOR 'Big Oil;' for keeping the fuel prices from rising any faster than I--your exalted ruler--can make them rise.  To vote a change in the IRS Tax Code as it relates to the 'Big Oil' tax deductions is a complete disservice to the American consumer by creating instantaneous gas-price increases!!  Almost by definition, any and all corporation(s) pass all increases onto the consumer.  That's just the nature of business; complying with the corporations' fiduciary responsibility to their stockholders!!  
    Fact-checking as proven the 20%-2% statistic is but another in the long line of my blatant lies!!  The blogosphere were the fact-checkers; the national pamphleteer 'corpse'--at George Soros' direction--has 'decided' to not to comment in any manner.  So long as he allows me, I--your exalted ruler--intend to use "20-2" as long as it plays into my "economic-warfare" plans.  With respect to fossil fuels, why does anyone subscribe to my version of logic?!?  If more drilling won't solve the nation's energy problems; why drill at all?!?  That's just nuts; just more of my bullshit!! 
    At some point-in-time, fuel efficiency will have reached it's upward limit.  The government socio-fascists can continue to demand higher-and-higher mpg results, but at some point these demands can not be met.  Already, the auto manufacturers are putting occupant safety on the back burner.  Have you seen some of these "shit-boxes" the consumer is expected to embrace as the next generation of vehicles?!?  They're little more than plastic coffins, ready to implode at the slightest provocation!!  So we've reached the upward limit of the "steel-to-plastic" conversion in these "shit-boxes;" do we have technology on the horizon to increase mpg results, 'mechanically?!?'  Again, I--your exalted ruler--think--privately--we've reached the limit there, as well.
    The primary reason we've cut back on the use of foreign oil?!?  Do you really want to know?!?  I--your exalted ruler--had absolutely nothing to do with it.  The reason we're using more domestic oil is that more-and-more drilling permits issued by that evil President George W. Bush are coming to fruition!!!!  Simple-as-that!  Evil triumphed!!]

    Good morning, everybody. Lately, I’ve been speaking a lot about our need for an all-of-the-above strategy for American energy -- a strategy that produces more oil and gas here at home, but also produces more biofuels and fuel-efficient cars, more solar power and wind power and other sources of clean, renewable energy.  This strategy is not just the right thing to do for our long-term economic growth; it’s also the right way for us to reduce our dependence on foreign oil right now. It’s the right way for us to put people to work right now. And ultimately, it’s the right way to stop spikes in gas prices that we’ve put up [with] every single year -- the same kind of increase that we’ve seen over the past couple of months.  Obviously rising gas prices means a rough ride for a lot of families. Whether you’re trying to get to school, trying to get to work, do some grocery shopping, you have to be able to fill up that gas tank. And there are families in certain parts of the country that have no choice but to drive 50 or 60 miles to get to the job. So when gas prices go up, it’s like an additional tax that comes right out of your pocket.  That’s one of the reasons we passed a payroll tax cut at the beginning of this year and made sure it extended all the way through this year, so that the average American is getting that extra $40 in every paycheck right now.  But I think everybody understands that there are no quick fixes to this problem. There are politicians who say that if we just drilled more then gas prices would come down right away. What they don’t say is that we have been drilling more. Under my administration, America is producing more oil than at any time in the last eight years. We’ve opened up new areas for exploration. We've quadrupled the number of operating rigs to a record high. We've added enough new oil and gas pipeline to circle the Earth and then some.
Being truthful, I--your exalted ruler--might have said:  It's completely normal for gasoline price spikes in the spring each year as the refiners change from the winter blend to the summer blend.  There's not much that can be done about this annual price spike.  My continual push for more 'green energy' sources, i.e., wind, solar, biofuels, et al--there's a reason for that:  funds are becoming more and more scarce to reward those who support my [in]action in various segments of the economy; to reward those who donate to my re-immaculation efforts; those who support said efforts.  
    While those forms of 'green energy' are noble endeavors, there's not been enough "R and D" put into the various accessorial aspects of each segments, like the batteries required for both solar and wind energy storage; for those highly expensive; highly explosive and flammable batteries required in vehicles like the government-promoted, produced Chevy Volt.  Not only are the various aspects of "R and D" noticibly lacking, but so is consumer demand.  Even with the $7,500 bribe required to sell even a minimal number of vehicles; said bribe is not enough to forestall a plant shutdown for six-weeks.  
    True!  There currently is more oil being produced than at any time in the past eight years.  What is not true is the public perception that the owe-bama Regime is responsible; the vast majority of authorized oil drilling and production are based on permits approved by that evil President George W. Bush! 
    But as I've said repeatedly, the problem is we use more than 20 percent of the world’s oil and we only have 2 percent of the world’s proven oil reserves. Even if we drilled every square inch of this country right now, we’d still have to rely disproportionately on other countries for their oil. That means we pay more at the pump every time there’s instability in the Middle East, or growing demand in countries like China and India.
That’s what’s happening right now. It’s those global trends that are affecting gas prices. So even as we're tackling issues of supply and demand, even as we're looking at the long-term in terms of how we can structurally make ourselves less reliant on foreign oil, we still need to work extra hard to protect consumers from factors that should not affect the price of a barrel of oil.   That includes doing everything we can to ensure that an irresponsible few aren’t able to hurt consumers by illegally manipulating or rigging the energy markets for their own gain. We can't afford a situation where speculators artificially manipulate markets by buying up oil, creating the perception of a shortage, and driving prices higher -- only to flip the oil for a quick profit. We can’t afford a situation where some speculators can reap millions, while millions of American families get the short end of the stick. That’s not the way the market should work. And for anyone who thinks this cannot happen, just think back to how Enron traders manipulated the price of electricity to reap huge profits at everybody else’s expense.
Being truthful, I--your exalted ruler--might have said:  The "20:2" statement I--your exalted ruler--continually refer to in relation to the nation's oil consumption is a complete and blatant lie!!  Originally, my teleprompter-programmers entered the information incorrectly; since, we've decided that while a complete and blatant lie, it sounds good; it sounds like a plausible statistic.  The applicable statistic is:  We are 2% of the world's population; we consume 25% of the world's energy.  
    While neither I--your exalted ruler--nor anyone else in the owe-bama Regime can point to ANYONE who is an oil speculator, I--your exalted ruler--fully intend to vilify them in via the national pamphleteer 'corpse!!'  Comparatively speaking there are far fewer oil 'speculators' than there are 'commodities traders' specializing in the oil sector.  They have far more effect on the price of oil than a miniscule number of 'speculators.'  The word: speculator is far more politically explosive than the phrase 'commodity trader!'  Commodity traders actually provide price stabilazation as it relates to those segments of the economy who rely on vast amounts of fuel, for instance the trucking industry.  That industry relies on their futures contracts to stabilize their fuel expense, going forward.
    Essentially, fuel prices are determined by worldwide supply versus demand.  As countries like China and India increase their demand, the price is driven up.... as it should be!! The United States' demand is far greater than it's domestic supply, thus we--those evil 'big oil' marketers--are forced to buy the shortfall amount on the world market.  Simple as that!  We discover new crude oil deposits almost every day!  Were the EPA forced to relax both the drilling and the refinery permitting processes--keeping the environmental concerns in mind--the United States could--over the next several years--make vast gains in supplying domestic oil to the American market.
    Now, the good news is my administration has already taken several actions to step up oversight of oil markets and close dangerous loopholes that were allowing some traders to operate in the shadows.  We closed the so-called Enron loophole that let traders evade oversight by using electronic or overseas trading platforms. In the Wall Street reform law, we said for the first time that federal regulators will make sure no single trader can buy such a large position in oil that they could easily manipulate the market on their own. So I’d point out that anybody who’s pledging to roll back Wall Street reform -- Dodd-Frank -- would also roll back this vital consumer protection along with it.  I’ve asked Attorney General Holder to work with Chairman Leibowitz of the Federal Trade Commission, Chairman Gensler of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and other enforcement agencies to make sure that acts of manipulation, fraud or other illegal activity are not behind increases in the price that consumers pay at the pump. So today, we’re announcing new steps to strengthen oversight of energy markets. Things that we can do administratively, we are doing. And I call on Congress to pass a package of measures to crack down on illegal activity and hold accountable those who manipulate the market for private gain at the expense of millions of working families. And be specific.
Being truthful, I--your exalted ruler--might have said:  Can you believe how devoid of reasonable thought--actually, how completely STUPID--many of my comments are?!? The owe-bama Regime is completely unable to control our southern border; completely unable to control voter fraud; completely unable to control voter intimidation--all by choice, I--as your exalted ruler--might add--and yet, I'm blathering on about controlling the international oil trading platforms; how much bullshit is that?!?
    All my blather on the gas pump-price and how it got there; all my blather on the availability and cost of crude oil, is little more than election-year political posturing.  Remember when I--your exalted ruler--was immaculated the national average was $1.83 PER GALLON; today it's  $3.904 PER GALLON!!  That's an increase of nearly 115%!!!   The national average has MORE-THAN-DOUBLED during my reign!!  The only answer for this increase is my complete lack of a logical domestic energy policy aside from solar, wind and biofuels!!!!   Oh, and don't forget my desire to push the United States back into the 'dark ages,' economically!!                
    First, Congress should provide immediate funding to put more cops on the beat to monitor activity in energy markets. This funding would also upgrade technology so that our surveillance and enforcement officers aren’t hamstrung by older and less sophisticated tools than the ones that traders are using. We should strengthen protections for American consumers, not gut them. And these markets have expanded significantly.  Chairman Gensler actually had a good analogy. He said, imagine if the NFL quadrupled the number of teams but didn’t increase the number of refs. You’d end up having havoc on the field, and it would diminish the game. It wouldn’t be fair. That’s part of what’s going on in a lot of these markets. So we have to properly resource enforcement.
Being truthful, I--your exalted ruler--might have said:  More-and-more control of all aspects of American liberty;  less-and-less allowable liberties!!  The 'NFL analogy' is  completely false:  The NFL has ESTABLISHED RULES; the players, coaches and owners are expected to follow those ESTABLISHED RULES.  If they violate said ESTABLISHED RULES, they are fined or otherwise punished!!  In my socio-fascist scheme-of-things, there are few ESTABLISHED RULES, and those few are enforced on a case-by-case basis, depending on whether a negro is the defendent; the perpetrator, or not.
    Second, Congress should increase the civil and criminal penalties for illegal energy market manipulation and other illegal activities. So my plan would toughen key financial penalties tenfold, and impose these penalties not just per violation, but for every day a violation occurs.
Being truthful, I--your exalted ruler--might have said:  I've asked 'General' holder: "Will these possible increased civil and criminal penalties be enforced without the "involved-negro" rule?!?  Hey, I'm jis askin'!!  These will remain ficticious accusations, charges, penalties if--in the upcoming months--we're still unable to point to an actual 'oil speculator!'
    Third, Congress should give the agency responsible for overseeing oil markets new authority to protect against volatility and excess speculation by making sure that traders can post appropriate margins, which simply means that they actually have the money to make good on their trades.
Being truthful, I--your exalted ruler--might have said:  Again, more-and-more control of all aspects of American liberty; less-and-less  allowable liberties, Nuff Said!!
    Congress should do all of this right away. A few weeks ago, Congress had a chance to stand up for families already paying an extra premium at the pump; congressional Republicans voted to keep spending billions of Americans' hard-earned tax dollars on more unnecessary subsidies for big oil companies. So here's a chance to make amends, a chance to actually do something that will protect consumers by increasing oversight of energy markets. That should be something that everybody, no matter their party, should agree with. And I hope Americans will ask their members of Congress to step up.  In the meantime, my administration will take new executive actions to better analyze and investigate trading activities in energy markets and more quickly implement the tough consumer protections under Wall Street reform.   Let me close by saying none of these steps by themselves will bring gas prices down overnight. But it will prevent market manipulation and make sure we're looking out for American consumers. And in the meantime we're going to keep pursuing an all-of-the-above strategy for American energy to break the cycle of price spikes year after year. We are going to keep producing more biofuels; we're going to keep producing more fuel-efficient cars; we are going to keep tapping into every source of American-made energy.  And these steps have already helped put America on a path to greater energy independence. Our foreign -- our dependence on foreign oil has actually decreased each year I've been in office -- even as the economy has grown. America now imports less than half of the oil we use for the first time in more than a decade. So we are less vulnerable than we were, but we're still too vulnerable.  We've got to continue the hard, sustained work on this issue. And as long as I'm President we're going to keep placing our bets on America's future -- America's workers, America's technology, America's ingenuity, and American-made energy. That's how we're going to solve this problem once and for all.
Being truthful, I--your exalted ruler--might have said:  These on-going--incessant--attacks on 'Big Oil' are both mindless and meaningless!!  Just another example of socio-fascist "S & M:" smoke-and-mirrors!!  
1.  'Big Oil' will pass on any tax increases to the consumer; the elimination of authorized tax incentives--which owe-bamacRATics have incorrectly labeled subsidies--is essentially a tax increase to the consumer.
2.  "oversight" is owe-bamaSpeak for "....more-control-over....!" 
3.  Ahaa!!  I--your exalted ruler--include at least ONE TRUTHFUL STATEMENT in every blather opportunity; here it is:
"....none of these steps by themselves will bring down gas prices...."
 Completely by design!!  Remember I--your exalted ruler--said I'd essentially destroy all other forms of energy excepting solar, wind and bio-fuels!!  This is apart of that ongoing effort.
4.  The ongoing production of bio-fuels, energy efficient vehicles, hybrid and electric vehicles.... all require vast federal subsidies--not the kind 'Big Oil' has--actual cash grants!!  Every one costs the American taxpayer far more than they currently realize in monetary gains!  The consumer is either forced to purchase--"e-10; e-15" ring a bell?--or must be bribed to buy, i.e., the $7,500-$10,000 bribe to purchase the Chevy Volt!! 
    In conclusion, this is election-year political posturing, political obfuscation-of-the-truth, plain-and-simple!!  The obama-boobs at "CREEP" [Committee to RE-Elect the President] are completely flummoxed by the ongoing polling results.  They've never had to imbrace any negative aspects during their campaigns.  The money has fallen off; even some "Big Hollywood" types are 'checking their wallets at the door.'

Where Does A $50 Gas Purchase Go?!?
    When we're forced to go inside to pay for a gas purchase, the station operator--likely working for minimum wage--is forced to take the brunt of our ill will. 
It ain't their fault! 
Here's why:
  The primary reason is a non-existant federal--read owe-bama--domestic energy policy, secondarily, the retailer is "suckin' hind tit!"
Your fifty-dollar gas purchase equals:

Crude Oil-          $30.75 (61.5%)
Refining Expense-$7.00  (14.0%)
Delivery Expense-$4.00  ( 8.0%) 
Taxes-                 $6.00  (12.0%)
Credit Card Fees-$1.25  ( 2.5%)
Retailer Profit-  $1.00  ( 2.0%)

What can one take from this chart?!?  A "Clown Prince" stroke-of-the-pen could reduce the price-at-the-pump by 12%!!  Ha!! Fat chance 'a' that!!

Continuing Demonization of 'Big Oil'

Today, members of Congress have a simple choice to make: They can stand with the big oil companies, or they can stand with the American people.  Right now, the biggest oil companies are raking in record profits –- profits that go up every time folks pull up into a gas station. But on top of these record profits, oil companies are also getting billions a year -- billions a year in taxpayer subsidies -– a subsidy that they’ve enjoyed year after year for the last century.  Think about that. It’s like hitting the American people twice. You’re already paying a premium at the pump right now. And on top of that, Congress, up until this point, has thought it was a good idea to send billions of dollars more in tax dollars to the oil industry.  It’s not as if these companies can’t stand on their own. Last year, the three biggest U.S. oil companies took home more than $80 billion in profits. Exxon pocketed nearly $4.7 million every hour. And when the price of oil goes up, prices at the pump go up, and so do these companies’ profits. In fact, one analysis shows that every time gas goes up by a penny, these companies usually pocket another $200 million in quarterly profits. Meanwhile, these companies pay a lower tax rate than most other companies on their investments, partly because we’re giving them billions in tax giveaways every year.
I might have said:  (this is being written post-Senate vote!)  What the hell kinda ruler can't even get his own party's support?  The Senate has voted to let those evil oil companies keep the subsidies that really aren't subsidies.  What I disparagingly call 'subsidies' are more correctly defined as tax DEDUCTIONS!  They're nothing more-or-less than your mortgage interest deduction or your deduction for a home-office; but on a grander scale.  These are completely legal--NOT shameful as I characterize them--written into the tax code, as are said individual tax deductions.  
    That $4 billion to those evil oil companies in annual tax deductions must be returned to my energy slush-fund!!  One the average year, I blow through 15-18 billion dollars, essentially  wasted on green technology that--in it's current direction--will never be sustainable!  The evil oil companies' aforementioned $4 billion would allow me to fund other supporters and donors and continue to bribe my current supporters and donors.
    Is the United States Senate losing it's socialistic frame of mind, or is it just ME?  Any other ruler could have gotten this evil oil company tax vote to go their way; I know "Slick-Willie" Clinton would have gotten it done!!  This leads me into my regime's 'signature' piece of legislation; owe-bamaKare!  I've not been able to exert the influence on my appointees to the Supreme Court that I had hoped.  Those socio-fascists--namely, Sotomayor and Kagan--had agreed to vote in the regime's favor should they be confirmed to the empty court seats. That seems to not be the case, likely either the mandate or the entire scam will go-down-in-flames!!  The only possibility I had for even a partially positive re-immaculation campaign was owe-bamaKare; alas, that's not to be!  With absolutely no publically-accepted accomplishments to run on, it'll be a dismal campaign at best.
Now, I want to make clear, we all know that drilling for oil has to be a key part of our overall energy strategy. We want U.S. oil companies to be doing well. We want them to succeed. That’s why under my administration, we’ve opened up millions of acres of federal lands and waters to oil and gas production. We’ve quadrupled the number of operating oil rigs to a record high. We’ve added enough oil and gas pipeline to circle the Earth and then some. And just yesterday, we announced the next step for potential new oil and gas exploration in the Atlantic.  So the fact is, we’re producing more oil right now than we have in eight years, and we’re importing less of it as well. For two years in a row, America has bought less oil from other countries than we produce here at home -– for the first time in over a decade.  So American oil is booming. The oil industry is doing just fine. With record profits and rising production, I’m not worried about the big oil companies. With high oil prices around the world, they’ve got more than enough incentive to produce even more oil. That’s why I think it’s time they got by without more help from taxpayers who are already having a tough enough time paying the bills and filling up their gas tank. And I think it’s curious that some folks in Congress, who are the first to belittle investments in new sources of energy, are the ones that are fighting the hardest to maintain these giveaways for the oil companies.  Instead of taxpayer giveaways to an industry that’s never been more profitable, we should be using that money to double-down on investments in clean energy technologies that have never been more promising -- investments in wind power and solar power and biofuels; investments in fuel-efficient cars and trucks, and energy-efficient homes and buildings. That’s the future. That’s the only way we're going to break this cycle of high gas prices that happen year after year after year. As the economy is growing, the only time you start seeing lower gas prices is when the economy is doing badly. That’s not the kind of pattern that we want to be in. We want the economy doing well, and people to be able to afford their energy costs.  And keep in mind, we can’t just drill our way out of this problem. As I said, oil production here in the United States is doing very well, and it's been doing well even as gas prices are going up. Well, the reason is because we use more than 20 percent of the world’s oil but we only have 2 percent of the world’s known oil reserves. And that means we could drill every drop of American oil tomorrow but we’d still have to buy oil from other countries to make up the difference. We’d still have to depend on other countries to meet our energy needs. And because it’s a world market, the fact that we’re doing more here in the United States doesn’t necessarily help us because even U.S. oil companies they’re selling that oil on a worldwide market. They’re not keeping it just for us. And that means that if there’s rising demand around the world then the prices are going to up.
I might have said:  I have opened millions of acres of federal lands and waters to oil and gas exploration.  I've just not allowed the Department of Energy to issue and/or approve drilling permits.  Those drilling rigs in the federal waters?  They're operating on permits wisely approved by that evil President George W. Bush.  The pipelines approved had nothing to do with me or the regime; they're intra-state or interstate.  The only one that I had any control over, I DISAPPROVED!  The "Keystone XL Pipeline" project was the only one to come before the regime that is international; it crosses the U.S.-Canadian border.  Disapproval could--as is my desire--result in much of the Canadian oil being sold to the Chinese.  Within days of my DISAPPROVAL, the Canadians were in negotiations to redirect the pipeline to the Canadian west coast for shipments to China.

    We most certainly can drill our way out of the owe-bamaDepression, but we should have started on Day One of my regime!  Had we, the owe-bamaDepression--or at the very least, the worst affects--might have been averted.  Even when drilling might solve America's petroleum problems, we still have the EPA to contend with.  This group of UNELECTED socio-crats have formulated policies that do not allow for more oil refineries to be built in the United States.  This continues an already choking bottle-neck in the production and processing end of the industry.  One direct result of the aforementioned problems in domestic energy production is the purchase of foreign oil!
    The owe-bama Regime only invests in those green energy companies that are weeks or days away from bankruptcy.  That's the primary--in addition to the 'union dues system'--method of rewarding and repaying my supporters and donors.  To double-down on this system of quasi-legal, political money-laundering is the ultimate DISSERVICE to the hardworking, taxpaying Americans!  These green energy sources are better researched and developed on someone's "kitchen table;"  that's where Henry Ford figuratively developed his automobile engine; that's figuratively where Thomas Edison developed his lightbulb and the multitude of other popular inventions.  
That’s not the future that I want for America. I don’t want folks like these back here and the folks in front of me to have to pay more at the pump every time that there’s some unrest in the Middle East and oil speculators get nervous about whether there’s going to be enough supply. I don’t want our kids to be held hostage to events on the other side of the world.  I want us to control our own destiny. I want us to forge our own future. And that’s why, as long as I’m President, America is going to pursue an all-of-the-above energy strategy, which means we will continue developing our oil and gas resources in a robust and responsible way. But it also means that we’re going to keep developing more advanced homegrown biofuels, the kinds that are already powering truck fleets across America.  We’re going to keep investing in clean energy like the wind power and solar power that’s already lighting thousands of homes and creating thousands of jobs. We’re going to keep manufacturing more cars and trucks to get more miles to the gallon so that you can fill up once every two weeks instead of every week. We’re going to keep building more homes and businesses that waste less energy so that you’re in charge of your own energy bills.  We’re going to do all of this by harnessing our most inexhaustible resource: American ingenuity and American imagination. That’s what we need to keep going. That’s what’s at stake right now. That’s the choice that we face. And that’s the choice that’s facing Congress today. They can either vote to spend billions of dollars more in oil subsidies that keep us trapped in the past, or they can vote to end these taxpayer subsidies that aren’t needed to boost oil production so that we can invest in the future. It’s that simple.  And as long as I’m President, I’m betting on the future. And as the people I’ve talked to around the country, including the people who are behind me here today, they put their faith in the future as well. That’s what we do as Americans. That’s who we are. We innovate. We discover. We seek new solutions to some of our biggest challenges. And, ultimately, because we stick with it, we succeed. And I believe that we’re going to do that again. Today, the American people are going to be watching Congress to see if they have that same faith.
I might have said:  Reducing America's dependency on foreign oil will help to solve the increasing pump prices.  That reduction will come about with more oil refineries, more APPROVED drilling permits, more APPROVED international pipelines; all which fall under my purview!!  I have not been successful in strangling the oil sector of the energy industry.  I shall continue in that effort.  In the meantime, the oil sector is successful--where green-energy sectors are dismal failures--simply because oil is sustainable; green-energy is not!  When using the private-sector numbers--ignoring the federal government-created prognostications--the United States has enough oil reserves to contine at current demand, for three-hundred, plus years (300+ years)!!
    In conclusion I'm going to comment on a recent event, namely the Trayvon Martin tragedy.  While it is a tragedy, the family deserves much, much more than they're currently getting.  The racist I installed as the Attorney-General, eric holder is clearly as racist as I am incompetent!  After our friends in the New Black Panthers organization put a $10,000 bounty on George Zimmerman's head; after our friends in the New Black Panthers organization formed a posse to hunt the guy down, no one from the regime--to include those in barackingham Palace; to include those in the Socio-Justice Department--has taken the first step to have said 'panther' miscreants arrested and charged with several appropriate felonies!!  I--and again, Ya can't fix STUPID!!--would have to be completely ignorant to believe that these recent felonious actions by our friends in the New Black Panthers organization; actions like voter intimidation, by our friends in the New Black Panthers organization won't become THE topic of campaign debates; THE topic of campaign advertising!!

    "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, the Narcissist"--in his normally feeble attempt--is about to try to best his award of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.  That prize--reduced to the equilivancy of a 'bubble gum baseball card'--was awarded to him due to his "efforts...." NO ACCOMPLISHMENTS REQUIRED!!  Later today the "Clown Prince" will reiterate his call for the Congress to end 'the billions' paid out to oil companies in annual subsidies.
    As is he is wont to do, "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, the Narcissist" will be doing exactly the WRONG thing, at the right time!  This is the wrong time for reducing income to the oil companies, they'll just pass that loss onto the consumer in higher wholesale gas prices to the distributors.  This is the RIGHT time for one thing: for the Congress--on a month-to-month basis--forego collecting the federal fuel tax on each gallon of gas. 
This will reduce the pump price of gas 18.4 cents, OVERNIGHT!! 
When the country STARTS COMING OUT of the owe-bamaDepression, then start adding the tax back, say.... 25% per month until the original gas tax total is resumed.
But, alas.... NO!  The "Clown Prince" will again affirm the public opinion that "Ya can't fix STUPID!!"

Is "Clown Prince" Embarrassed by Ass-Kissing?
    Yesterday--Wednesday, March 21st--"Clown Prince ZERO-bama, the Narcissist" was in Cushing, Oklahoma, an intermediate terminus of the "Keystone XL Pipeline."  As is the norm, I usually find the "Clown Prince's" blusterful blather, copy and paste it for my translation into what his words actually ment.  On previous occasions, I was able to find most blather on the "Palace" website; not so, the Cushing blather opportunity!
    Re-immaculationally speaking, disapproval of the international aspects of the "Keystone XL Pipeline" project was poor political strategy.... to say the least!!  I expect the "Clown Prince" will spin this 'Cushing blather' to appear that he's had a change-of-heart and has approved building the "Keystone XL Pipeline;" NOT SO!!  The "Cushing-to-the-Gulf" leg of said pipeline doesn't cross any international borders; hence, does not require 'ruler-of-the-free-world,' approval!!
    People--far smarter than I--are surmising that the 'Cushing blather' is being kept out of 'print' so as to not upset his dwindling owe-bamacRATic base; not only the owe-bamacRATics themselves, but the environmentalists and the tree-huggers as well.  I hold no hope that the "Clown Prince" will be swayed from his opinion that all fossil fuels are 'energy-of-the-past.'  The "Clown Prince" could be standing knee-deep in crude oil and not waiver away from his 'all-the-above' rant!!

The Ancillary Effects
    The current national average gas price (03/20-AM) is $3.846; diesel-$4.142.  Of course, these averages are important.... but not nearly as important as the pump prices where you are!!  If you check the 'aaa' URL below, be prepared for a surprise with the "E85 MPG/BTU adjusted price!!"
The EPA, the tree-huggin' environmentalists would like grain-based fuels to be mandated for use.  As you can see--at these prices--said mandate would bankrupt the average consumer.
    The national pamphleteers will never report it; the 'Palace' mouthpieces will never admit it, but the gargantuan rise in fuel prices can be directly attributed to the failed national energy policy--IF there even is one--of the "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, the Narcissist" regime!!  The "Palace"  mouthpieces say that approval of the "Keystone XL Pipeline" project won't get us out of this "Clown Prince"-made economic hole.  True, as far as it goes.  In every case, NOW is when we prepare for the FUTURE.  The "Keystone" project--when the NEXT ruler anoints it--will be on line eventually to start the fall in fuel prices; to start the rise to +/- 200,000 additional, permanent--well paying--jobs!!  The "Palace" mouthpieces say we can't 'drill our way out' of this kerfuffle.  If we can't then why drill at all?!?
    We can carp about the "Clown Prince" and his failed presidency--til-the-cows-come-home--to no avail!  He is what he is; socio-fascists--apparently--can not be reformed!  What we must be more concerned about is the ancillary net effects of his failed policies.  While we're getting raped at the pump, has anyone thought about what happens practically everywhere else in the economy?!?  I have.
    In practically every sector of the economy, the products travel from point-to-point by truck.  Eventually, as inventory is sold and replenished, the affects of higher fuel prices will be felt at the retail level:
The Wegman's; the Topps; the Giant; the Winn-Dixie; the HEB supermarkets will be forced to raise prices on foodstuffs to reflect the higher fuel expense.
The local Walmart, Target, Macy's, et al, will do the same; 
The local Lowes', Home Depot, Menard's, et al, will do the same;
The local Pep Boys, Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilly's, et al, will do the same; on and on to every segment; to every level of the wholesale and retail economies!
    The affects are felt not only at the pump and the local retail establishments but the various branches of house-building.... hell, every segment you can think of!!  Not only do we have to worry about current and future retail prices, now the "i-word"--inflation--will be an ever greater factor in price increases as well!!

Now, I just finished learning about some of the work that you’re doing here at this community college to make sure that homes are using less energy, and helping folks save money on their heating and their air-conditioning bills. And I was very impressed. I’m even more impressed because I know this program is giving a lot of people a chance to make a decent living -- everyone from veterans to folks with disabilities to folks who’ve just been down on their luck but want to work. So I want you to know how proud I am of this program, of this institution, of all of you. The skills that you gain here at this community college will be the surest path to success in this economy. Because if there’s one thing that we’re thinking about a lot these days, is, first of all, how do we make sure that American workers have the skills and education they need to be able to succeed in this competitive global economy? And community colleges all across the country and all across Maryland are doing an outstanding job providing young people that first opportunity after high school but also helping older workers retrain for the jobs of the future because the economy is constantly adapting.  So community colleges are big. Community colleges are critical to our long-term success. What’s also critical to our long-term success is the question of energy: How do we use less energy? How do we produce more energy right here in the United States of America?
I have mixed emotions coming here today.  On the positive side, I so enjoy coming to community colleges; I don't have to sound very smart to impress the student audience.  Another positive is that the student body are usually in their teens and as such, are highly impressionable, they believe all the crap I feed them.  On the negative side, this school is in Maryland, just outside the District of Corruption.  With the school being that close, I don't have to use Air Force One and that's a dam' shame.  The taxpayers fund all my travel--even all those illegal campaign charges I write off to them--but coming here is just a short helicopter ride.  Actually it takes three helicopters for all the Secret Service protection and one just hauls all the sound crap and teleprompters.  I can't speak without them!! 
    I have found though, that many students don't belong in a community college.  They'd fare far better if they were in a high-quality trade school.  The great demand for the future will be in the trades.  We have far more lawyers, economists, professional lobbyists and professional, career politicians than we'll ever need in the foreseeable future!! 
    And I know this is an especially important topic for everybody right now because you guys have to fill up at the gas station.  And it’s rough. Gas prices and the world oil markets right now are putting a lot of pressure on families right now. And one of the things that is important to remember is for a lot of folks, just doing what you have to do to get your kids to school, to get to the job, to do grocery shopping -- you don’t have an option. You’ve got to be able to fill up that gas tank. And when prices spike on the world market, it’s like a tax, it’s like somebody is going into your pocket.  We passed the payroll tax at the beginning of this year to make sure that everybody had an extra $40 in their paycheck, on average in part because we anticipated that gas prices might be going up like they did last year, given tight world oil supplies. But that doesn’t make it easier for a lot of families out there that are just struggling to get by. This is tough. Now, the question is, how do we meet this challenge? Because right now we’re starting to see a lot of politicians talking a lot but not doing much. And we’ve seen this movie before.  Gas prices went up around this time last year. Gas prices shot up in the spring and summer of 2008 -- I remember, I was running for President at the time. This has been going on for years now.  And every time prices start to go up -- especially in an election year -- politicians dust off their 3-point plans for $2.00 gas.  I guess this year they decided, we're going to make it $2.50.  I don't know where -- why not $2.40?  Why not $2.10? But they tell the same story. They head down to the gas station; they make sure a few cameras are following them and then they start acting like we've got a magic wand and we will give you cheap gas forever if you just elect us.  Every time. Been the same script for 30 years. It's like a bad rerun.
    Now, here’s the thing -- because we've seen it all before, we know better. You know better. There is no such thing as a quick fix when it comes to high gas prices. There’s no silver bullet. Anybody who tells you otherwise isn’t really looking for a solution -- they’re trying to ride the political wave of the moment.  Usually, the most common thing, when you actually ask them -- all right, how is it that you're going to get back to $2.00 a gallon gas, how are you going to do it, specifically, what is your plan -- then typically what you'll hear from them is, well, if we just drilled more for oil then gas prices would immediately come down and all our problems would go away. That's usually the response.  Now, Maryland, there are two problems with that answer. First of all, we are drilling. Under my administration, America is producing more oil today than at any time in the last eight years. (Applause.) Any time. That's a fact. That's a fact. We’ve quadrupled the number of operating oil rigs to a record high. I want everybody to listen to that -- we have more oil rigs operating now than ever. That's a fact. We’ve approved dozens of new pipelines to move oil across the country. We announced our support for a new one in Oklahoma that will help get more oil down to refineries on the Gulf Coast.  Over the last three years, my administration has opened millions of acres of land in 23 different states for oil and gas exploration.  Offshore, I’ve directed my administration to open up more than 75 percent of our potential oil resources. That includes an area in the Gulf of Mexico we opened up a few months ago that could produce more than 400 million barrels of oil.  So do not tell me that we’re not drilling.  We’re drilling all over this country.  I guess there are a few spots where we’re not drilling. We’re not drilling in the National Mall. We’re not drilling at your house. I guess we could try to have, like, 200 oil rigs in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay.  Well, that’s the question. We are drilling at a record pace but we’re doing so in a way that protects the health and safety and the natural resources of the American people.  So that’s point number one. If you start hearing this “drill, baby, drill; drill, drill, drill” -- if you start hearing that again, just remember you’ve got the facts -- we’re doing that. Tell me something new.  That’s problem number one.
    I'm really in an indefensible position, here.   You've heard all those lies I've been peddling since fuel prices became the topic du' jour.  There's alot more facts that I could spell out, but they're directly opposite of my public position.  See, the first and foremost fact is the national average gas price is up over 105% since my immaculation, three LONG years ago.  Additional national average diesel price is up 80++% since my immaculation.  
    I blather almost constantly about that 2% versus 20% lie.  The actual phrase that  was stolen from is:
"America has 5% of the population but use 24% of the world's energy."                                                                                Of course, we had to tweak the numbers to make the consumption seem far worse than the rest of the planet.  One point that's never mentioned:  with the exception of my incredible borrowing and spending, all the energy consumed by the citizens of the United States is bought and paid for; nothing was stolen from the world's third-world ratholes as we socio-fascists would have you believe.
    Those 'drilling' numbers I cite?!?  Some guy in some broom-closet in MY barackingham Palace pulls them out of his ass!!  The actual truth is the vast majority of working drilling sites were approved and permitted in the past 25 years or so, by Presidents Bush-41, "Slick-Willie" Clinton or President Bush-43.  True, I opened up lots of federal lands to oil drilling.... but I forgot to mention that I very rarely approve a permit to actually start the drills turning!!  Most of the drilling I refer to--that drilling I lead you to believe is taking place on federal lands--is taking place on private lands, sometimes in someone's front-yard!!  Given the current--and ongoing--owe-bama Depression, most folks would relish having an oil rig in their yards.... just imagine the royalties they'd be receiving for every barrel pumped out of the ground.
    Here’s the second problem with what some of these politicians are talking about. There’s a problem with a strategy that only relies on drilling and that is, America uses more than 20 percent of the world’s oil. If we drilled every square inch of this country -- so we went to your house and we went to the National Mall and we put up those rigs everywhere -- we’d still have only 2 percent of the world’s known oil reserves. Let’s say we miss something -- maybe it’s 3 percent instead of 2. We’re using 20; we have 2.  Now, you don’t need to be getting an excellent education at Prince George’s Community College to know that we’ve got a math problem here.  I help out Sasha occasionally with her math homework and I know that if you’ve got 2 and you’ve got 20, there’s a gap.
Do we have anybody who’s good at math here? Am I right?  Okay.
So if we don’t develop other sources of energy, if we don’t develop the technology to use less energy to make our economy more energy-efficient, then we will always be dependent on foreign countries for our energy needs.  And that means every time there’s instability in the Middle East, which is the main thing that’s driving oil prices up right now -- it’s the same thing that was driving oil prices up last year -- every time that happens, every time that there’s unrest, any time that there’s concern about a conflict, suddenly, oil futures shoot up, you’re going to feel it at the pump. It will happen every single time.  We will not fully be in control of our energy future if our strategy is only to drill for the 2 percent but we still have to buy the 20 percent. And there’s another wrinkle to this -- other countries use oil, too. We’re not the only ones. So you’ve got rapidly-growing nations like China and India, and they’re all starting to buy cars. They’re getting wealthier. They want cars, too. And that means the price of gas will rise.  Just to give you an example -- in 2010, China alone added 10 million new cars. That’s just in one year. And there are about a billion Chinese. So they’ve got a lot more people who are going to want cars in the future, which means they are going to want to get some of that oil and that will drive prices up. So we can’t just drill our way out of the problem. We are drilling, but it’s not going to solve our problem.  That’s not the future I want for the United States of America. We can’t allow ourselves to be held hostage to events on the other side of the globe. That’s not who we are.  America controls its own destiny. We’re not dependent on somebody else.  So we can’t have an energy strategy for the last century that traps us in the past. We need an energy strategy for the future -- an all-of-the-above strategy for the 21st century that develops every source of American-made energy. Yes, develop as much oil and gas as we can, but also develop wind power and solar power and biofuels.  Make our buildings more fuel-efficient. Make our homes more fuel-efficient. Make our cars and trucks more fuel-efficient so they get more miles for the gallon.  That’s where I want to take this country. And here's -- the best part of it is thousands of Americans have jobs right now because we’ve doubled the use of clean energy in this country since I came into office. And I want to keep on making those investments. (Applause.) I don’t want to see wind turbines and solar panels and high-tech batteries made in other countries by other workers. I want to make them here. I want to make them here in Maryland. I want to make them here in the United States of America, with American workers. That's what I want. So when I came into office, we said, all right, how are we going to start moving America in that direction? It's not a thing you get done in one year, but how do we start moving in that direction? So after 30 years of not doing anything, we raised fuel economy standards on cars and trucks so that by the middle of the next decade, our cars will average nearly 55 miles per gallon -- that's double what we get today -- 55 miles per gallon.  Fifty-five miles a gallon.
    I have to apologize for this meaningless, unfactual blather.... it ain't my fault; nothing's ever my fault!!  The teleprompter is programmed ahead of each blusterful blather; I just read what appears on the screen.  We socio-facists are quick with 'the word,' but short with 'the facts!' 
    The "2%" I'm constantly referring to as if it were a 'cuss-word,' is a far cry from the truth.  That "2%" is 22.3 billion barrels of proved oil reserves.  "Proved oil reserves" as explained by my own Energy Information Administration (EIA), is a small subset of recoverable resources!!   Ok--and George Soros is gonna get really pissed at me for this--let's look at all the oil reserves:
**22.3 bln barrels: those "2%" I blather about, HOURLY, per my own the EIA, and
**86 bln barrels in the Outer Continental Shelf, per my own Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, and
**24 bln barrels (shale deposits) in the 'lower-48,' per my own EIA, and
**2 bln barrels (shale deposits) in Alaska's 'North Slope,' per my own U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and
**12 bln barrels in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), per my own USGS, and
**19 bln barrels in the Utah Tar Sands, per my own Bureau of Land Management, and
**1.4 TRILLION barrels in Wyoming's Green River Formation, per my own USGS.
    Oh, but these are only estimates, you say!!  How true, I say!! 
Historically, federal agencies' estimates on anything are generally on the low side.  As but one example, I cite North Dakota's Bakken Formation:
In 1995, the USGS estimated the total recoverable oil volume to be 151 million barrels.
In 2008, the USGS increased it's estimate to 3 billion to 4.3 billion barrels.
In 2011, oil analysists increased the estimate to 20 billion barrels.
The United States--by these totals--truely is awash in crude oil!!
    So the young people here who were driving those beaters that getting 5 miles per gallon we're going to get you to 55. And that will save the average family more than $8,000 over the life of a car -- $8,000.  That will help pay some bills. That means you’ll be able to fill up every two weeks instead of every week.  And those are the cars we need to keep building here in the United States.
All right, so now, to fuel these cars and trucks, obviously if they're using less gas, that's great. That saves us; we're using less oil. But we also want to invest in clean advanced biofuels that can replace some of the oil that we're currently using. That's important.  Already, we’re using these biofuels to power everything from city buses to UPS trucks to Navy ships. I want to see more of these fuels in American cars -- homegrown fuels -- because that means we're buying less oil from foreign countries and we're creating jobs here in the United States including big parts of rural America, big parts of rural Maryland, where the economy oftentimes is struggling and you have a real opportunity to create entire new industries and put people to work. And it's happening all across the country.  So all of these steps have put us on a path of greater energy independence. Here's a statistic I want everybody to remember next time you're talking to somebody who doesn’t know what they're talking about. Since I took office, America’s dependence on foreign oil has gone down every single year.  In 2010, our oil dependence, the amount that we're bringing in, the percentage we're bringing in, was under 50 percent for the first time in 13 years.  We've got to do better than that, and we can do better than that.
    But in order to do better than that, we've got to tell the folks who are stuck in the past that our future depends on this all-of-the-above energy strategy. That’s our job. That it can't just be -- it can't just be drilling for more oil. We're drilling for more oil, but that can't be all the solution; that's just part of the solution.  Now, here's the sad thing. Lately, we’ve heard a lot of professional politicians, a lot of the folks who are running for a certain office who shall go unnamed they've been talking down new sources of energy. They dismiss wind power. They dismiss solar power. They make jokes about biofuels. They were against raising fuel standards. I guess they like gas-guzzlers. They think that's good for our future. We’re trying to move towards the future; they want to be stuck in the past.  We’ve heard this kind of thinking before. Let me tell you something. If some of these folks were around when Columbus set sail they must have been founding members of the Flat Earth Society.  They would not have believed that the world was round.  We've heard these folks in the past. They probably would have agreed with one of the pioneers of the radio who said, "Television won’t last. It’s a flash in the pan."  One of Henry Ford’s advisors was quoted as saying, "The horse is here to stay but the automobile is only a fad."   There have always been folks like that. There always have been folks who are the naysayers and don't believe in the future, and don't believe in trying to do things differently. One of my predecessors, Rutherford B. Hayes, reportedly said about the telephone, "It’s a great invention, but who would ever want to use one?" That's why he's not on Mt. Rushmore because he’s looking backwards. He’s not looking forwards.  He’s explaining why we can't do something, instead of why we can do something.
    The point is, there will always be cynics and naysayers who just want to keep on doing things the same way that we’ve always done them. They want to double down on the same ideas that got us into some of the mess that we’ve been in. But that's not who we are as Americans. See, America has always succeeded because we refuse to stand still. We put faith in the future. We are inventors. We are builders. We are makers of things. We are Thomas Edison. We are the Wright Brothers. We are Bill Gates. We are Steve Jobs. That’s who we are.  That’s who we need to be right now. That's who we need to be right now. I don't understand when I hear folks who are in elected office, or aspiring to elected office, who ignore the facts and seem to just want to get a cute bumper sticker line, instead of actually trying to solve our problems.  What I just said about energy, by the way, is not disputed by any energy expert. Everybody agrees with this. So why is it that somebody who wants to help lead the country would be ignoring the facts?
    If you want an example of what I’m talking about, consider an important issue that's before Congress right now.  The question -- there’s a question before Congress I want everybody to know about. The question is whether or not we should keep giving $4 billion in taxpayer subsidies to the oil industry.
 The oil industry has been subsidized by you, the taxpayer, for about a hundred years -- 100 years. One hundred years, a century. So some of the same folks who are complaining about biofuels getting subsidies, or wind or solar energy getting subsidies, or electric cars and advanced batteries getting subsidies to help get them off the ground, these same folks -- when you say, why are we still giving subsidies to the oil industry –- “well, no, we need those.”  Oil companies are making more money right now than they’ve ever made. On top of the money they’re getting from you at the gas station every time you fill up, they want some of your tax dollars as well. 
That doesn't make any sense. Does it make sense?
 It’s inexcusable. It is time for this oil industry giveaway to end.  So in the next few weeks, I expect Congress to vote on ending these subsidies. And when they do, they’ll put every single member of Congress on record. I guess you can stand up for the oil companies who really don't need much help, or they can stand up for the American people, because we can take that $4 billion -- we could be investing it in clean energy in a good energy future, in fuel efficiency.  We could actually be trying to solve a vital problem.  They can bet -- they can place their bets on the energy of the past, or they can place their bets on America’s future -- on American workers, American ingenuity, American technology, American science, American-made energy, American efficiency, American productivity.  We can bet on America and our own capacity to solve this problem.  That’s the choice we face. That’s what’s at stake right now.
Maryland, we know what direction we have to go in.
And every American out there, as frustrated as they are about gas prices right now, when you actually ask people, they’ll tell you, yes, we’ve got to find new sources of energy. We got to find new ways of doing things. People understand that. We just got to get Washington to understand it. We got to get politicians to understand it.  We’ve got to invest in a serious, sustained, all-of-the-above energy strategy that develops every resource available for the 21st century. We’ve got to choose between the past and the future. And that's a choice we shouldn’t be afraid to make because we’ve always bet on the future, and we’re good at it. America is good at the future. We are good at being ahead of the curve. We’re good at being on the cutting edge.  Ending these subsidies won’t bring down gas prices tomorrow. Even if we drilled every inch of America, that won’t bring gas prices down tomorrow. But if we’re tired of watching gas prices spike every single year, and being caught in this position, where what happens in the Middle East ends up taking money out of your pocket, if we want to stabilize energy prices for the long term and the medium term, if we want America to grow, we’re going to have look past what we’ve been doing and put ourselves on the path to a real, sustainable energy future.  That’s the future you deserve. So I need all of you to make your voices heard.  Get on the phone, write an email, send a letter, let your member of Congress know where you stand. Tell them to do the right thing. Tell them we can win this fight. Tell them we’re going to combine our creativity and our optimism, our brainpower, our manpower, our womanpower. Tell them: Yes, we can.  Tell them we are going to build an economy that lasts. Tell them we’re going to make this the American century just like the last century.
    $8,000!!  Wow!! $8,000, really?!?  That's a huge number, right?!?  OK, now take blusterful bullshit out of the equation.  The average age of a car in the United States has increased since I instututed the owe-bama Depression with my wild borrowing from the Chinese and my reckless spending to reward the various unions, my donors, my supporters as well as my campaign workers.  That vehicle average is now about 12 years!!  Wow!!  That's a pretty old car for anyone to be driving.  Now--all bullshit aside--when you do the math--here we go again with the math--that $8,000 "over the life of the car" now looks like less than $700 a year; $58  a month; less than $3 a work-day!!  The number suddenly isn't so big any more, is it?!?  
    "....invest in clean advanced biofuels...."  On it's face, that's a ludicrius statement!!  As much as the socio-fascists--the liberals; the progressives; the owe-bamacRATics--want the public to see them as the nation's "do-gooders," I'm completely dumbfounded that they go along with this biofuels bullshit!!  Biofuels are manufactured--actually, distilled--from food grains and grasses.  To put the grains to this use is the greatest mis-use that could be undertaken.  OK, the aforementioned socialist groups "don't-give-two-hoots-in-hell" for those in the United States that may be food-deprived, if not starving; the grains could be used to feed millions of souls in world's various third-world ratholes!!
    Until the various unsustainable 'green' energy sources I support and promote, are stand-alone industries in the energy sector, all 'R and D' should be left to the private sector without federal interference; without federal monies.  As it stands now, so long as the interference and monies are as pervasive as they are; no 'green' energy source will ever be able to stand alone.  Can anybody spell "Chevy-Volt?!?"  We bribe each buyer with  $7,500.  If the Volt's sales remain as dismal as they've been of late, I'm contemplating raising the bribe to $10,000!!  If the Volt were forced to 'stand alone,' it would be a $41,000 vehicle!  What idiot would buy one when--with the addition of less than $8,000--they could drive away in a Corvette!!!
    The jet engine in it's various sizes, is the most prolific energy source in aviation.  Thousands are used in both civilian and military aircraft, worldwide.  No 'green' energy source can compete with the jet engine!  Until they can--which is probably NEVER--no 'green' energy source will completely replace fossil fuels.  Until there is a wind-powered; a water-powered; a solar-powered aircraft, fossil fuels will be the ONLY WORKABLE ENERGY SOURCE for high speed travel; high speed military aircraft!!  
    America DOES NOT have to choose between the past and the future.  This is nothing more than a source for further socio-fascist 'warfare,' much like class warfare; much like economic warfare; much like racial warfare!!  I employ an "all-the-above" approach when it comes to using 'warfare' to advance my dismal chances for re-immaculation!! 
    As I quietly acknowledge, those "$4 billion in oil company subsidies" are a necessity.  Sure, it may appear that we're subsidizing said companies' huge--albeit evil--profits at the expense of the working man and woman; at the expense of working families;.... ah..... what-ta-hell.... at the expense of the children!!  Everybody uses 'children' when they want to make a point by tugging at the  public heartstrings!!  What do you suppose would be the net affect of ending said subsidies?!?  Let me tell'ya.... The evil oil companies ain't gonna 'eat' the added expense!!  They'll pass it on, ultimately to the end user..... YOU, the consumer!!   How--when coupled with MY doubling of gas prices in three years--do you think that will affect my dwindling chances at re-immaculation?!?  Not Well!!
    Ta'hell with George Soros!!  Yes, contact your senators and congressmen and women!!  But.... tell them to approve more drilling permits; tell them to approve more oil refineries; tell them to approve new--as well as replacement--nuclear reactors!!   If we truly want an "all-the-above"   approach to a national energy policy, these will put the 'non-greens' on equal footing with the 'greens,' thus truly "all-the-above!!"
