This'n'That; February 11th[schumer;You;Cop;Porkulus]
That Arrogant [Insert Derogatory Term Here]!!
After the Senate voted to spend American into oblivion, Chuckie-Cheese schumer had this quote to offer: "....and let me say this to all of the chattering class: so much focus on those little tiny, yes, porky amendments, the American People don't care." [Ah..."Cheesie...." Can I call you "Cheesie?" I've done such extensive research on your communistic views and attitudes, I feel I know you personally.... or, would you prefer the more formal "Chuckie?" Who are you labelling "the chattering class?" Those of us who blog and write letters against you and rest of the miscreants in both houses of Congress? Where can I find your poll results that indicate "the American People don't care?".......ain'got none? Chuckie-Cheese is quickly overtaking obama as my choice for the pro-abortion poster child.]

Wounded Policeman Update
Officer Anthony DiPonzio is said to remain in guarded condition at Rochester General Hospital. Hospital officials say information on DiPonzio's condition has to come from the Rochester Police Department or directly from the family. DiPonzio was taken off his ventilator and brain pressure monitor, signaling the end of the riskiest first days after a shooting. About 85 percent of people die after this type of gunshot wound, but DiPonzio's chances of surviving have "improved dramatically" since the day of the shooting, Dr Maurer said.
I've added this sidebar [also from today's rag]:For Kris Dibelka, the snowy night of Dec. 27, 1997, is not an easy one to forget. She vividly remembers hearing a knock on her door and seeing two New York State Police troopers standing outside her house. "My first thought was 'oh, he crashed into a tree,' " she recalled, referring to her husband, Rochester police Officer Mark Dibelka, who had been on the force for two years and was working the 3 to 11:30 p.m. shift that night. But the troopers had different news. Dibelka had been shot and was about to undergo surgery and that was the extent of the information she was given.
"Your mind is racing because you don't know if he's dead or alive," Kris Dibelka, 52, said. Lt. Mark Dibelka, now 38, is the only member of the Police Department who is on active duty after surviving a shooting. In the last week and a half, he has been providing support to the parents of Officer Anthony DiPonzio, who was shot in the back of the head Jan. 31.
Maybe Our "Saving Grace"....ISN'T
[In my last entry, I had opined that maybe-just maybe, the newly appointed Senator Gillibrand could be Upstate New York's saving grace. Now, I'm not so sure. Chuckie Cheese, at the time of her appointment, said that Ms Gillibrand would be converted to Manhattan's way of thinking.... I'm beginning to believe him although I held out hope that she could, would resist the demand to fall into lock-step with the rest of the socialists. Here's what the socialists {plus Mr Lee} had to say in support of the current Porkulus Bill:]
***"This bill will make immediate investments in our economy, generate millions of jobs, and is expected to bring almost $13Billion into New York." Sen Gillibrand[d]. ***"It's time to stop playing partisan games, pass the stimulus and begin strengthening our economy." Rep Massa[d] Corning [NY's Southern Tier].
***"It's very important that we do it, and we do it in a hurry." Rep Maffei[d]DeWitt[Syracuse area]. ***"I am for a stumulus package...if it's meaningful relief for individuals and businesses who are the ones who want to create the jobs. I would be for it. What I'm seeing right now, I'm still very much concerned." Rep Lee[R] Clarence[Buffalo area]. ***"The Senate has made signficant changes to the recovery package passed by the House. I will carefully consider these changes to ensure that the package meets my number one priority: creating good jobs and boosting our regional economy right here in western New York. Rep Slaughter[d] Fairport [Rochester area]. ***"The Senate bill leaves out the pork and is much more focused on the three main functions: creating jobs, cutting taxes for the middle class, and building a stronger, more viable infrastructure network." Sen Schumer[d]. [I gotta tell'ya, I think Senator Gillibrand "drank the Kool-Aid," ALREADY!! She's spouting the talking points right out of the "Fluff Era" playbook. Rep Massa, a confirmed socialist is spouting from the playbook as well. Mr Massa "started out life" as a Republican, but changed parties over the handling of the Iraq War. If you go to wikipedia to read further into his bio, pay special attention to one of his two lapel buttons. I see it as Mr Massa's way of confirming his socialist leanings-he wears a "FDR" campaign-type button. Rep Maffei, a rookie socialist, is putting the "rush-rush" on the porkulus; If they do it quick enough, no one will notice that the Congressional Budget Office [CBO] confirmed that the package is 93% porkbarrel spending; 7% stimulation. Rep Lee, the area's ONLY Republican, is for a stimulus but has concerns over this porkulus bill. Mr Lee.... Ya gotta get more conservative.... maybe all the way to a libertarian stance!! Porkulus is not the way to go; tax cuts are-let the people who earned the money, spend it!! Rep Slaughter-given her socialist proclivities-probably was a Lenin mentor earlier in her career. She seems more-than-a-little pissed that the Senate cut a little of her beloved pork out of the Porkulus Bill. 'Geeze-Louise," it looks like Upstate NY's dairy farmers won't be quick to sell their votes to you!! Yesterday's rag reported that their little segment of the economy is growing quite nicely, thank you very much... and WITHOUT your pork!! Ah........!! Then we have Sen "Chuckie-Cheese" Schumer. Obviously, he's in favor of a return to the socialist policies of the FDR Era. He seems quite educated; too bad common sense can't be taught. He's gonna save the country by creating temporary jobs and insuring that his and his friends' supporters get the paybacks they earned by supporting the "Fluff Era." Don'cha wonder how they sleep at night. Myself, in their shoes.... I'd never sleep!! Except for $122 in food stamps, I've never taken a dollar that I didn't earn.... I didn't starve; I raised, rather helped raise, a family, which by the way-"notta-slug-in-the-bunch!!" Oh....That food stamp money; I tried to pay it back... the county social services office refused it... IN CASH!! They had no procedure in place for paybacks [guess it never happened before or since!!].
Til Nex'Time....
