The Sunday 'Report' 11/21/2010

What 'National Pamphleteers' Don't Report:

#1:  From the "PC Police:"  Political correctness has gone too far. I just got a memo from the PC police, ordering me to make the following changes in anything I say for public consumption. I assume other writers have received the same notice, so be prepared for some interesting changes. For example:

#3.  Commie-Libs Clash With Black Leadership: http://www.personalliberty.com/news/black-leadership-group-slams-liberal-group-for-trying-to-silence-andrew-breitbart-800211876/?eiid=&rmid=2010_11_08_PLA_[PIZ4610A]&rrid=387432349
A group that promotes freedom of speech for African-Americans has expressed disgust following liberal backlash against the television appearance of a conservative commentator.  Project 21* claims that left-wing professionals showed contempt for the First Amendment by opposing the appearance of Andrew Breitbart, who is white, on ABC News' election night coverage. The liberal group Media Matters for America said that the network was putting its credibility on the line by associating with BreitbartLeaders of Project 21, which is an initiative of The National Center for Public Policy Research, accused the liberal organization of being hypocritical by claiming to be champions of openness and decency while, at the same time, trying to suppress Breitbart's views.
"Silencing speech is the consistent theme used by progressives," said Project 21 full-time fellow Deneen Borelli. "Progressives will conveniently play the race card or launch smear campaigns in their desperate attempt to control conservative thought."
Borelli said liberals also disregarded the First Amendment when NPR, a left-wing media organization, fired Juan Williams for expressing his feelings about Muslims during an appearance on FOX News.
* Project 21 is an initiative of The National Center for Public Policy Research to promote the views of African-Americans whose entrepreneurial spirit, dedication to family and commitment to individual responsibility has not traditionally been echoed by the nation's civil rights establishment.
#4.  A 'Restraining Order?'
http://www.personalliberty.com/conservative-politics/liberty/this-was-no-mere-election-it-was-a-restraining-order/?eiid=&rmid=2010_11_05_PLA_[PIZ4510E]&rrid=387432349
Let me note the biggest change in the political landscape of America: In the world’s most important legislative body, the U.S. House of Representatives, Republicans gained more than 60 seats. Come January, they will have a very comfortable majority. This is incredibly significant for several reasons.  First, it means that nasty Nancy Pelosi will no longer be Speaker of the House of Representatives. Of all the results of yesterday’s elections that brought a huge smile to my face. That is the best news of all.{****}

Proclaim the news throughout the land: The wicked witch of the West is dead. Well, not exactly dead. But she will no longer be able to call the Air Force and order a luxurious jumbo-jet to fly her and her party back to San Francisco (or anywhere else she wants to go). No, she’ll have to go to an airport, stand in line, and put up with those incredibly invasive security procedures, just like thee and meBut it’s not just Pelosi who is getting demoted. Beginning in January, every single committee in Congress will be chaired by a Republican. Consider what this means for just one seat.
{*}You are no longer allowed to refer to backwoods denizens of Kentucky, Tennessee or West Virginia as "hillbillies." They are to be known as "Appalachian-Americans."

{*}Also, never refer to a woman as "easy." From now on, such lasses are "horizontally accessible."

{*}Oh, and be aware that your wife never "nags" you. Instead, she may be "verbally repetitive."

{*}And ladies, you will no longer refer to a boorish companion as a "total ass." Instead, he has suffered "a cerebral-anal inversion."
{***}#2.  From the lying "Clown Prince:"  http://www.personalliberty.com/conservative-politics/caught-in-another-lie/?eiid=&rmid=2010_11_12_PLA_[PIZ4610E]&rrid=387432349
An inspector general concluded that the White House edited a drilling safety report in a way that made it falsely appear that scientists and experts supported the administration’s six-month ban on new deep-water drilling.  The inspector general concluded the White House’s changes “resulted ‘in the implication that the moratorium recommendation had been peer reviewed.’ But it hadn’t been. Outside scientists were asked only to review new safety measures for offshore drilling.
The regime lied about the need to halt offshore drilling in order to push its “Green” agenda. The result has been crippling job losses along the Gulf coast and increasing oil prices — up about $7 a barrel since the spill and still climbing.
The "Clown Prince" and his minions claim to be on the side of the “working people.” But oil workers apparently don’t count. Nor do those in the coal industry. Nor does anyone else, who must deal with a falling dollar and rising prices resulting from the Administration’s feckless energy policies.
He’s all for the government subsidizing inefficient, ineffective and unproven Green jobs. And he apparently has no problem with the United States becoming increasingly dependent on foreign oil.  That the regime lied to achieve its ends is no surprise. It’s not the first regime to do that. But that so many on the Left would sit silently by while the regime destroys an industry and continues to cripple the U.S. economy is a surprise.
{****}Pardon me for wallowing in a joyous bit of schadenfreude for a few moments, but I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. (German; schadenfreude means “taking delight in someone else’s misfortune.” This is normally not a very admirable emotion, but in this case, it is 1,000 percent justified.)

Yes, the Democrats won all 10 Congressional races in Massachusetts. Yes, that odious liberal, Barney Frank, won re-election for the 17th time. Scott Bielat wasn’t able to pull off the miracle many of us prayed for. But consider this: As of Jan. 21, Frank will no longer be chairman of the ultra-powerful House Banking Committee. In fact, no Democrat will be chairman of any committeeWe don’t know yet who will be chairing the various committees. I hope that when it comes to parceling out key committee assignments, some of the toughest conservatives in Congress will get some of the most important posts. We’ll see. But take heart in knowing that every single Democrat chairman will be forced to relinquish his or her chair.
The new Speaker of the House of Representatives will be John Boehner, a fairly conservative Republican. And while Leader Boehner has not been as tough in the past as you and I might prefer, he will be surrounded by a cadre of very bright, very dedicated and very determined conservatives. When he needs to have his backbone stiffened, there will be plenty of people ready to pour the cementAnd here’s something else that is even more important: Every dollar that the Federal government spends — and folks, it spends a lot of them — must be authorized by an appropriations bill that originates in the House of Representatives. [..]

Til Nex'Sunday....
