This'n'That; November Twenty-Third [Buerkle/maffei;illegals]

PORKlosi "Lap-Dog" Won't concede!
Dan Maffei--the Pelosi 'Lap-Dog,' is refusing to concede to victor Ann Marie Buerkle; EVEN THOUGH it's mathematically IMPOSSIBLE for him to win!!

The final count of absentee ballots in Onondaga County gave incumbent obamacRAT Dan Maffei 3,571 votes and republicRAT Buerkle 3,014.  With the additional votes from Onondaga and Wayne counties, Buerkle leads Maffei by 411 votes.

“While Maffei gained some votes when the City of Syracuse absentees were counted, he failed to gain what he needed to overcome Buerkle’s lead,” Liza Lowery [Buerkle spokesperson] said in a statement. “At some point the numbers just don’t work. There is not room for Maffei to gain anymore ground in this race.”

“As we’ve always said, the most important thing is that every eligible vote needs to be counted and we are nearing completion of that lengthy process. Wayne County still needs to count its absentee ballots,” a statement from the Maffei campaign reads.

An official reached at Wayne County Board of Elections Friday afternoon said that they were finishing up recanvassing. Nearly 1,300 absentees will be counted in Wayne, where Buerkle received 15,429 votes to Maffei’s 9,191 on election night.
Update-November 22nd (5:45PM):
The race between U.S. Rep. Dan Maffei and Republican challenger Ann Marie Buerkle will continue this week as the judge has moved a scheduled court hearing from Tuesday to Wednesday.  Buerkle is ahead by 567 votes after the absentee ballots have been counted by elections boards in four counties. Frank Hoare, attorney for Maffei, said the extra day gives the campaigns time to review the final numbers the county boards of elections are giving to the state to certify the election.  Both campaigns have challenged a total 392 ballots. State Supreme Court Justice Brian DeJoseph could be asked to decide whether to open those ballots.
Maffei could also ask the judge to order a hand recount of some 200,000 paper ballots cast in the race for the 25th Congressional District.  Elections Commissioners in Onondaga County, the largest part of the district, plan to argue that a recount is not necessary because their machines have not malfunctioned.

Buerkle.........................104,374
Maffei...............103,807
leaving a difference of 567, and a victorious Ann Marie Buerkle!!

Why Is California On Verge Of Bankruptcy?
Here's Just ONE Reason:
In California, illegal immigrants are eligible to pay lower college tuition than documented out-of-state students, according to a ruling by the state's highest court.  The California Supreme Court has reversed a lower state court decision that struck down a law that provided reduced tuition rates for illegal aliens. Nine other states also have laws that allow undocumented students to receive financial benefits.
It's been reported that about 400 in-state students at the University of California (UC) are illegal immigrants, while other state colleges say that they do not monitor students' citizenship status.  "The New American" magazine reports that the the UC in-state fee is approximately $12,000 per year, compared to about $35,000 each year for out-of-state students.   Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS), a nonpartisan organization, has condemned the court's decision and hopes that the U.S. Supreme Court will overturn the ruling.
