What The National Pamphleteers Don't Report:
America Commits Suicide

I had hoped that the majority of voters would elect Mitt Romney, but instead of a man of character they chose charisma.  They ignored four years of failure and deception. In advertising, they say “Sell the sizzle, not the steak.” Romney, sadly, lacked sizzle.
Obama’s victory was one of a long line of Progressives from Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Jimmy Carter. It was not new, but it will likely do more damage on top of what his predecessors have done.
It turned out that there were not enough voters from the faith-based communities. You know—the kind of people Obama said “cling to their religion and guns.” There were not enough from a range of population subsets to make a difference. [....]

obama-Land vs. the USA:
The end of a Country, its People and Liberty
Congress will be rendered completely toothless and non-essential, as obama has been working to affect since he first took office

Two-hundred-and-thirty six-years ago, a new country “conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal”* was born. Men and women seeking religious and economic freedom from an increasingly perverse, suppressive and feudal Europe sailed to ‘the New World’ which would later become the United States of America.
Most began to occupy this fresh and promising land in the 1600s. However, some intrepid souls began their journey into and through portions of North America much earlier. Such was the case of my ancestors who arrived on the shores of this new land in the 1500s. They were part of the original founding of this once extraordinary country and eagerly participated in and watched it being built. I morosely am now observing its end.
Over the many years it took to establish viable colonies in this New World, many experimental governments were attempted, [....]

Why Romney Lost
by Floyd and MaryBeth Brown

November 7, 2012
Dick Morris, Michael Barone, and Karl Rove all got it wrong. They thought Romney would win. Let us tell you why we never thought Obama would lose. Republicans are too nice. In contrast, spending hundreds of millions of dollars, Obama set out to destroy the character of Mitt Romney. While telling stories about how Romney killed people and shipped their jobs abroad, Obama’s team never once could find a trait they liked about Mitt Romney. The Republicans never reciprocated. We nearly choked when we heard speakers at the GOP convention talking about Barack Obama’s good qualities as a father and man.
The leadership of the Republican Party is living in an alternate reality. Barack Obama isn’t a good man. He is evil and corrupt. Romney didn’t have the guts to say it. He didn’t want to talk about Obama’s associations with communists and socialists. He didn’t want to talk about Obama’s associations with Islamists and the Muslim Brotherhood. Romney never wanted to talk about Obama’s sketchy past, his fictional birth story, and his possible ineligibility to serve as president. Romney didn’t want to talk about Obama’s receipt of corrupt and foreign election funds.
Yes, the economy is bad, but there needed to be more. What about Obama’s support for infanticide? What about his [....]

An Open Letter To Mitt Romney

Governor Romney,
the opportunity for you to save America slipped right through your fingers, not because of Hurricane Sandy and not because of the state of our economy. Sure, the Hurricane did not help you a great deal, but it could have if you would have said things about it that you did not say.
Obama appeared on the scene with Chris Christie for a photo opportunity, and Chris Christie by slobbering all over Obama did not do you any favors. Nor did you do yourself any favors by not pointing out the fact that after Obama’s photo op, he jetted off to Las Vegas, leaving millions of Americans to suffer without electricity, food, water, and shelter.  There was a perfect opportunity for you to point out to the American people the many self-serving problems that Unions create, what with the Electrical Brotherhood Union’s of America turning away non-union electrical works, some that had traveled thousands of miles to try and reduce the suffering of the American people living in New York and New Jersey.
After your first debate with Obama, you sent the American people a very strong and powerful message, one that showed the American people that you are indeed in command of critical facts, coupled with your ability to appear presidential. Unfortunately that’s [....]

What Does a Second obama Term Mean To Gun Owners?
by Katie Pavlich, News Editor

November 6, 2012
During the second presidential debate of 2012, president barack obama said,
What I’m trying to do is get a broader conversation about how we reduce the violence generally. Part of it, is seeing if we can get an assault weapons ban reintroduced.”
You can bet he meant what he said. obama has a long history of holding anti-Second Amendment views, despite portraying himself as pro-hunter and reasonable about gun control. A second term spells trouble for law-abiding citizens wanting to exercise their right to keep and bear arms: obama is strongly opposed to concealed carry, has supported gun owner licensing and gun registration and voted to ban semi-automatic rifles, handguns and ammunition during his time in the Illinois State Senate. He even voted for the criminal prosecution of those who use a firearm in self-defense.
I don’t believe that people should be able to own guns,”
obama told author and economist John Lott, according to an interview Lott did on the Michael Medved Show in 2008.
The effects of a second obama term will reach far beyond the next four years and will have grave consequences for gun owners. If re-elected, obama will have as many as three opportunities to place more anti-Second Amendment judges on the Supreme Court… for life. During his first term, he appointed Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, both of whom, as you might expect, have staunch anti-Second Amendment records.  First Lady Michelle obama understands the power her husband holds should he receive another four years.
We’re going to make a choice that will impact our lives for decades to come… let’s not forget what it meant when my husband appointed those two brilliant Supreme Court justices… [....]

Here's one usage of the term gentleman: The gentleman helped the fallen lady to her feet. Here's another, one we might hear from a newscaster or a police spokesman: Tonight we report on the arrest of two gentlemen who raped, sodomized and murdered an 80-year-old woman. During earlier times, to be called a gentleman meant one was honest, brave, courteous and loyal. Today "gentleman" is used interchangeably in reference to decent people and the scum of the earth.
Much of today's language usage demonstrates a desire to be nonjudgmental. People used to shack up; now they cohabit or are living partners. Few young women of yesteryear would have felt comfortable to publicly declare they slept around. Unmarried women used to give birth to a bastard; later, this was upgraded to an illegitimate birth or a nonmarital birth. In many instances, unwed mothers proudly hold baby showers celebrating their illegitimate offspring, and the man, if known, who sired the baby is referred to as "my baby's daddy" or sometimes as "my baby daddy."
Homosexual marriages, which are not a basic human survival trait, were unheard of; today, in some jurisdictions, homosexual marriages have legal sanction. To be judgmental about modern codes of conduct is to risk being labeled a prude, racist, sexist or a homophobe. People ignore the fact that to accept another's right to engage in certain peaceable, voluntary behavior doesn't require moral acceptance or sanction.
Another measure of social deviancy is reflected by the excuses and apologies that are made for failures and how we make mascots out of social misfits, such as criminals and bums. The intellectual elite tell us that it's poverty or racism that produces criminals, as opposed to a moral defect. We call bums homeless people. That suggests a moral equivalency between people who have lost their homes in a fire or natural disaster and people who choose to be social parasites; therefore, neither group is to be [....]

Television Regulation For The 21st Century
by James Gattuso,
heritage.org
November 6, 2012
Abstract: Television broadcasting, long subject to uniquely comprehensive regulation, has become economically “normal,” characterized today by competition and innovation. The industry however, is seeing growing conflicts between traditional broadcasters and the newer cable and satellite providers over retransmission rights. Some have urged the FCC to take a more active role in order to ease these conflicts. A better approach would be to reduce the FCC’s role and to eliminate the morass of unnecessary television rules currently on the books. The Heritage Foundation’s James Gattuso explains how the proposed Next Generation Television Marketplace Act is a good starting point for aligning policy with today’s television realities.
In 1981, then-chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Mark Fowler declared: “Television is just another appliance. It’s just a toaster with pictures.”[1]  The quip caused uproar in Washington, where television has long been considered a unique industry, justifying its protection from competition, and subjecting it to the control of regulators and politicians. But today, 30 years later, Fowler’s statement seems remarkably apt: TVs may not toast bread, but the television marketplace has become “normal” in an economic sense, characterized by competition and innovation. It is time that the regulation of television caught up with this marketplace reality.
The television industry today has more than its share of internecine conflict. A particular flashpoint has been the rising fees that broadcasters are demanding from cable and satellite TV providers for the right to retransmit their programming. Cable and satellite TV firms are crying foul, and have asked Congress and the FCC to put the brakes on rates, albeit indirectly, through new regulation. The answer should be “no.”
Instead of adding regulations, policymakers [....]

The Expensive, Diminishing Threat Of Somali Piracy
by Ben West,
STRATfor.com
November 8, 2012
Piracy off the coast of Somalia has dropped off dramatically in 2012. Successful ship hijackings have decreased from 31 in 2011 (and 49 in 2010) to only four so far in 2012. Attacks against ships have also decreased, falling from 199 reported attacks in the first nine months of 2011 to 70 attacks over the same span in 2012 -- a 65 percent drop. However, diminished activity does not necessarily mean a decrease in the cost of sailing around the Horn of Africa. Somali pirates occupy a unique position, which is right along highly strategic global shipping lanes yet outside the reach of any national power. For international actors, it is politically and militarily easier to [....]

Two Visions Of The Electorate
The Republican Party can not put it's Reagan coalition back together.
by Vincent Cannato,

November 8, 2012

What happened with this election? Many conservatives predicted that Romney would win the election, with some even predicting a landslide. Many liberals were equally confident that Obama would win, even if they thought the results would be relatively close.
This election was more than just a race between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, more than just a battle between liberalism and conservatism. It was a race between two different visions of what the American electorate looks like. Democrats saw the race through the lens of the “emerging Democratic majority.” Rising numbers of minority voters — and a corresponding declining white vote — meant that Democrats were playing with the wind at their backs. Add to that young voters, upscale professionals, and single women, and you have a pretty durable coalition that could push President Obama across the finish line despite the stagnant economy.
On the other hand, Republicans saw this as a “Silent Majority” election. They were trying to refight the 1980s, putting together the [....]
