What The National Pamphleteers Don't Report:
Is Demography Destiny?
by Dr Thomas Sowell,

November 13, 2012
Some media pundits see in the growing proportion of non-white groups in the population a growing opposition to the Republican Party that will sooner or later make it virtually impossible for Republicans to win presidential elections or even to control either house of Congress. But is demography destiny?
Conventional wisdom in the Republican establishment is that what the GOP needs to do, in order to win black votes or Hispanic votes, is to craft policies specifically targeting these groups. In other words, Republicans need to become more like Democrats.
Whether in a racial context or in other contexts, the supposed need for Republicans to become more like Democrats has long been a recurring theme of the moderate Republican establishment, going back more than half a century.  Yet the most successful Republican presidential candidate during that long period was a man who went completely counter to that conventional wisdom— namely, Ronald Reagan, who won back to back landslide election victories.
Meanwhile, moderate Republican presidential candidate after moderate Republican presidential candidate has gone down to defeat, even against Democratic presidential candidates who were unpopular (Harry Truman), previously unknown (Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton) or who had a terrible economic track record (Barack Obama).  None of this seems to have caused any second thoughts in the Republican establishment. So long as that remains the case, demography may indeed be destiny— and that destiny could be Democratic administrations as far out as the eye can see.

Secede, Or Don’t: The Beginning Of The End Of The Federal Monopoly On Power
by Sam Rolley,
Personal Liberty Digest
November 13, 2012
When the White House implemented its “We the People” page on its website to give Americans an easier way to engage the Federal government with grievances and complaints, officials likely didn’t expect the type or the volume of petitions that have been logged in the wake of the re-election of President Barack Obama. Now, tens of thousands of Americans in at least 20 States are petitioning for the right of peaceable secession from the United States.
While the petitioners have been called everything from “a handful of rabble-rousers” to “idealistic dreamers,” [....]

One Of The Greatest Investments In U.S. History
by Paul Tracy,
townhall.com
November 13, 2012
On December 20, 1922, a surveyor -- J.G. Tierney -- made his way along the Colorado River by barge. Tierney, who worked for the U.S. government, was surveying a remote spot in the Mojave Desert called Boulder Canyon.
Boulder Canyon sits in the middle of some of the most unforgiving land in America.
During the summer, temperatures frequently top out near 120 degrees. Less than five inches of rain fall each year. Rattlesnakes and scorpions hide under rocks. And the sharp cliffs are near-impossible to scale.  And yet, this canyon in the heart of the desert holds one of the greatest investments in U.S. history... one that has generated billions of dollars in wealth and is practically guaranteed to keep doing so for decades.
But it wasn't without its costs. In total, 112 men -- beginning with J.G. Tierney, who on that December day drowned after falling off the barge that carried him and [....]

Petraeus Just Another Mystery Victim in the Benghazi Triangle
by John Ransom,
townhall.com
November 12, 2012
Watch out! There is a cosmic force at work. One by one, people caught up in the Benghazi Triangle are disappearing.
First it was AFRICOM commander General Carter F. Ham who was given early retirement. Ham’s sphere of military authority extended to Benghazi.
Then Rear Admiral Charles M. Gaouette, who commanded the aircraft carrier attack task group in the Mediterranean near Benghazi, was recalled to Bremerton pending a Navy Inspector General investigation.
And now another coincidental “resignation” in the chain of command working the Benghazi overwatch is either pointing to a cosmic force at work, or gasp! a cover up.
A cover-up in the Obama administration?
I know what you are thinking: [....]

An IQ Test for Criminals and Liberals
by Daniel J. Mitchell,
townhall.com
November 9, 2012
A lot of people say Obama is anti-business, but there’s one part of the American economy that is delighted that he got reelected.  No, I’m not talking about bankruptcy lawyers or corrupt lobbyists, though those would be good guesses.  The real winners from Obama’s re-election are America’s gun manufacturers and gun sellers.  Not that I’ve looked at any data. I’m just basing this on the comments I’ve heard over the past few years and the up-tick in such comments in the past 36 hours.  But I’m quite confident that the overall firearms industry has profited from Obama’s tenure.
Anyway, the great economist Frederic Bastiat teaches us to look at both direct and indirect effects (or, as he put it, the “seen” and “unseen”), so I want to highlight a disadvantaged group that will suffer as a result of the Obama-induced increase in gun sales. [....]

Democrats No Longer Care
by Foyd Brown,

November 10, 2012
The election revealed the true nature of the supporters of Barack Obama;they do not care about anyone but themselves. The Free Obama-phone Lady from Ohio is now the face of America. If you don’t give her free stuff, you suck. After a hard day of ranting about how great Obama is and how evil conservatives are,she goes home to watch her flat screen TV she got with her Obama-bucks EBT card.
Voter Suppression
The only Americans who were denied the right to vote were the men and women selflessly serving this nation overseas;Obama supporters and no-show Republicans don’t care. This weekend,American celebrates Veteran’s Day. Obama supporters only think of it as a three-day weekend if they had a job. For most entitlement leeches,it’s a day the Post Office takes off,so they have to wait an extra day to get the Bluetooth earpiece for their Obama Phones.

Planned Parenthood: Obama Victory Ensures More Dead Babies
by B. Christopher Agee,
exposeobama.com
November 9, 2012
While conservatives in general bemoan an enormous setback for traditional American values after Tuesday’s election, members of the left’s core constituency are applauding Obama’s radical agenda and the fact that it will continue through at least 2016.
Chief among those cheerleaders is Planned Parenthood, which receives nearly $500 million in confiscatory tax money per year, according to the most recent data available. In return, the nationwide group founded by racist eugenicist Margaret Sanger takes the innocent lives of well above 300,000 unborn babies annually.  In an email to supporters,Planned Parenthood’s president said she was “thrilled …to be celebrating the re-election of President Barack Obama.”

by Ben Shapiro,

November 15, 2012
Beginning today and extending through November 17, the Federalist Society will be holding its annual National Lawyers Convention. The Federalist Society is most famous as the largest constitutionalist legal organization in the United States; it was the breeding ground for several conservative justices (and one supposed conservative, Chief Justice John Roberts). The theme of the convention: “The Future of US Constitutional Law in the Supreme Court.”
It is slated to be a star-studded event. Justice Samuel Alito gives the keynote speech this evening; other heavy hitters include Peter Thiel, Ninth Circuit Chief Judge Alex Kozinski, Senator-Elect Ted Cruz (TX), Senator Mike Lee (UT), Gov. Rick Scott (FL), and Justice Antonin Scalia, among others.
Breitbart News had a chance to speak with Leonard Leo, Executive Vice President of the Federalist Society.

House GOP To Oppose Climate Change 'Tax'
by William Bigelow,
breitbart.com
November 16, 2012
Any climate change "tax" that environmental leftists hope to implement will face unified oppostion in the Republican Party.  Al of the GOP leaders in the House are unanimous; Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and Whip Kevin McCarthy(R-Calif.), new Republican Conference Chairwoman Rep Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Wash.), and National Republican Congressional ommittee Chairman Greg Walden (Ore.) agree that any climate legislation that raises taxes will be dead on arrival in the House.
The Tea Party group Americans for Prosperity has a “no climate tax” pledge that all the GOP leaders have signed. The pledge requires signers to “oppose any legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue.”  James Valvo, policy director for Americans for Prosperity stated: [....]

Considering an Israeli Ground Assault in Gaza
Staff Report,
STRATfor.com
November 15, 2012
Summary
The Israeli air force continues to bombard targets within the Gaza Strip, but thus far ground forces have not yet begun an incursion into the territory. Whether the current air campaign escalates to a ground assault will largely depend on the mission that the Israeli military is trying to accomplish.
Israel Defense Forces' official statements have emphasized that the goal is the severe degradation of Gaza militants' ability to launch rocket strikes, particularly the new Fajr-5 rockets that are purportedly capable of striking Tel Aviv. Halting rocket attacks was also the mission during Operation Cast Lead, Israel's most recent large-scale military operation involving Gaza, which took place in late 2008 and early 2009 and consisted of an air campaign similar to the current one followed by a ground invasion. Examining how Operation Cast Lead developed could provide useful context for how an Israeli ground invasion of Gaza could unfold.
Analysis
Operation Cast Lead can be separated into two distinct phases: air and ground. The air phase lasted for about one week and targeted suspected rocket smuggling routes, storage locations and firing positions, as well as targets of [....]

The Battle Lines Have Been Drawn
by Chip Wood,
Personal Liberty Digest
November 16, 2012
The fiscal cliff draweth nigh. A lame-duck Congress and a triumphant President have six weeks to effect a deal that will keep the country from plunging over it. And right now, while both sides pay lip service to the idea of compromise, it looks like they’ll play chicken right up to the edge.
Earlier this week, President Barack Obama met with a bunch of left-wing labor leaders and social activists — all of whom were happy to take credit for his election victory. Afterward, the President doubled his demands for higher taxes. Instead of the $800 billion in additional tax increases that were on the table before the election, Obama now says he wants $1.6 trillion in additional revenue over the next decade.
Anyone who hoped we’d see a milder, more moderate occupant of the White House this time around just got a very loud wake-up message: It’s going to be war on the haves on behalf of the have-nots — and the bureaucrats who get to distribute the spoils, of course.
