A Patriotic Response To The "Clown Prince" 04/10/2010
Weekly Address
April 10, 2010
[Starting with this issue, why don't we make my weekly blather more "colorful?!?! Let me know--continue with the color, or not?] All across America are good, decent folks who meet their obligations each and every day. They work hard. They support their families. They try to make an honest living the best they can. And this weekend, many are sitting down to pay the taxes they owe – not because it’s fun, but because it’s a fundamental responsibility of our citizenship.
But in tough times, when many families are having trouble just making it all work, Tax Day can seem even more daunting. This year, however, many Americans are seeing some welcome relief. So far, Americans who have filed their taxes have discovered that the average refund is up nearly ten percent this year – to an all-time high of about $3,000. This is due in large part to the Recovery Act. In fact, one-third of the Recovery Act was made up of tax cuts – tax cuts that have already provided more than $160 billion in relief for families and businesses, and nearly $100 billion of that directly into the pockets of working Americans. [What I'm not telling you: I really can't relate to the struggle many of you are facing; I've never had a job that wasn't supported by a government handout at some level or an elected position. Practically since I was a Senior Lecturer at Chicago Law School {during the campaign I told you I was a "law professor" which was and is, a gross lie!!} my political stance has been that the federal government should re-distribute much of the wealth in America; putting as many Americans in a dependency status as is possible. This is why I mention the "income tax refund" as a positive; you apparently aren't aware that the refund checks are nothing more than repayment of an INTEREST FREE loan to the federal treasury!! Probably one of the worst investments on the planet!! Rather than continuing the "Bush tax cuts," I'm letting them expire; in favor of these selective tax cuts and tax credits, where I have more control over your finances and spending. Eventually, there will be dam' few Americans with "the responsibility" of paying their taxes; we'll have already limited the earning capacity so that few if any, taxes will be due. There's a point to all this: With rights come responsibilities... so by definition: no responsibilities--NO RIGHTS!! See how cleverly I'm circumventing the Constitution?]
No one I’ve met is looking for a handout. And that’s not what these tax cuts are. Instead, they’re targeted relief to help middle class families weather the storm, to jumpstart our economy, and to bring the fundamentals of the American Dream – making an honest living, earning an education, owning a home, and raising a family – back within reach for millions of Americans.
First, because folks who work hard should be able to make a decent living, I kept a promise I made when I campaigned for this office and cut taxes for 95 percent of working Americans. For most Americans, this Making Work Pay tax credit began showing up in your paychecks last April. And it continues this year, for a total of $400 per individual and $800 per couple, per year.
Second, because a college education is critical to the success of our workers and our economy, we’re helping to make it more affordable for millions of Americans. Millions of students and parents paying for college tuition are now eligible for up to $2,500 under the American Opportunity Credit. Along with a host of other steps we’ve taken, this will help us reach our goal of once again having the highest proportion of college graduates in the world by 2020.
Third, we’re restoring the home as a source of stability and an anchor of the American Dream. If you’ve bought a home for the first time, you’re eligible for a credit of up to $8,000. And if you bought a new car last year, you can deduct the state and local sales taxes you paid on that car.
Fourth, whether you bought a home for the first time or you’ve owned one for a long time, if you invested in making your home more energy-efficient with certain improvements like new insulation or windows, or plan to this year, you’re eligible for up to $1,500 in new tax credits. This does more than just put money back in your pocket; it’s helping create new clean energy, manufacturing, and construction jobs at small businesses across the country.
Fifth, to help working families with children through difficult times, we increased the Earned Income Tax Credit and allowed more families to qualify for the Child Tax Credit.
Finally, for those who lost their jobs in the recession and need some help getting back on their feet, we provided a 65 percent tax credit to help cover the cost of health care and made sure the first $2,400 in unemployment benefits is tax-free. [What I'm not telling you: I rarely meet anyone unless it's at one of my staged photo-ops. These forums are primarily made up of hand-picked audiences--union members, upper crust political donors and other supporters. So I don't see those welfareRATs and other ne'er-do-wells; I wouldn't have much to do with them anyway; they're already on the dole; I control them!! I'm looking for those not under government control, to keep increasing the rolls!! That "..kept my promise...cut taxes for 95%...." Whata loada shit that is!!! And some of you are actually believin' that crap!! In truth, we did cut taxes for alotta folks, but the net affect was a tax gain by incrementally increasing other, relatively unnoticed taxes that most Americans don't realize they pay. The first time home buyers credit is another sham; designed to put people in homes-whether they can afford them or not; whether they intend to pay for them or not-quite similar to the sham "Slick-Willie" Clinton and Andrew Cuomo did in the '90s. The $1,500 energy tax credit is nothing more than political payback to the "green" movement and the "tree-huggers." I bought them during the "Campaign of Fluff" with a suggested payback after I ascended the throne. I'm making the Child Care Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit more attainable for the same reason; getting more and more serfs dependent on the government for as much as possible! The unemployment benefit extensions have been a blesssing in disguise! The longer I can keep the unemployed from working, the less likely they'll want to work; hence-MORE ON THE GOVERNMENT TIT!!]
These are among the tax breaks and savings that are available to over one hundred million Americans right now. It’s also important to note that the new health reform law includes the largest middle class tax cut for health care in history, and once it’s implemented; millions of Americans will finally be able to purchase quality, affordable care and the security and peace of mind that comes with it. And one thing we have not done is raise income taxes on families making less than $250,000. That’s another promise we’ve kept. We’ve also made it easy to find out what’s owed to you and your family. After all, the big guys know how to find their tax breaks; it’s time you did, too. Just visit WhiteHouse.gov and click on the Tax Savings Tool. It’s already been accessed more than 100,000 times by folks who want to see what savings they’re owed and how to collect them. If you’ve already filed your taxes and missed some of the savings available to you, don’t worry – you can still amend your returns after April 15th to save hundreds or even thousands of dollars. [What I'm not telling you: If that obamaCare scam is such a great deal, why aren't members of Congress, their staff members, me, most of my administration, many federal workers and most union members not subject to it's provisions?? Speaking of unions--Why aren't their "cadillac" health care plans subject to the added tax?? Because I said so!! That's one of the benefits of working in a fascist regime; I get to pick who'll be subjected to the negatives-- and you can bet your ass that it'll be those who are non-believers and non-supporters!! Again, if obamaCare is such a great deal, why do MOST of the benefits not kick in until late in the next decade--but nearly all the taxes start in the next year or so?? I'll bet you "KoolAid drinkers" even believe we'll save that tax money separately so it's available to pay the bills when they start coming in--you gullible asses!!! We're gonna piss that away as well, then tax the hell outta anyone still working {read: re-distribute the wealth!!} to pay the bills when they come due!!]
And just as each of us meets our responsibilities as citizens, we expect our businesses and our government to meet theirs in return. That’s why I’ve asked Congress to close some of the biggest tax loopholes exploited by some of our most profitable corporations to avoid paying their fair share – or, in some cases, paying taxes at all. That’s why we’re tightening Washington’s belt by cutting programs that don’t work, contracts that aren’t fair, and spending we don’t need. And that’s why I’ve proposed a freeze on discretionary spending, signed a law that restores the pay-as-you-go principle that helped produce the surpluses of the 1990s, and created a bipartisan, independent commission to help solve our fiscal crisis and close the deficits that have been growing for a decade. Because I refuse to leave our problems to the next generation.
It’s been a tough couple years for America. But the economy is growing again. Companies are beginning to hire again. We are rewarding work and helping more of our people reach for the American Dream again. And while there’s no doubt we still face a long journey together, with more steps to take, more obstacles to overcome, and more challenges to face along the way; if there is one thing of which the people of this great country have convinced me, it’s that the United States of America will recover, stronger than before. [What I'm not telling you: "Turbo-Tax" Tim Gueitner, Charlie Rangell, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd were really pissed when it came to light that I had asked for the tax loopholes to be closed!! Of course I had to ask--I certainly don't expect anything substantative will be done about them--it was all for "show!!" Can you see how inept I am with financial matters?? On one hand, I piss away money "like a drunken sailor" and on the other hand I tell you I refuse to leave our problems to be solved by the next generation..... You believe that?? The economy is growing again--but only with government spending; more people are going back to work--but only with hiring by the federal government and those temporary census workers. The country will recover from my ineptness; only becuase the Tea Party movement has brought forth resistance to my policies. They seemed to have positioned themselves to quietly resist my devastating policies much like Dr. Martin Luther King quietly resisted segragation. We fascists, socialists and di-gressives really have no methods in place to fight them; other than to spin each rally as a racist, violent event, ment to bring down the government or injure it's members!!]
