This'n'That; August Thirty-first[obamaBalls;Cartoon;Beck;0bama-Putin]

"Clown Prince" Handed 'His Ass' Once Again!!
[   Just when ya thought the current regime couldn't get any slimier.... Hillary Rob'em Clinton is now whinning to the united nations. It all boils down to the "Clown Prince," Soros and Rob'emplaying 'Powder-Puff' politics while Arizona's Governor Jan Brewer is playing 'Smash-Mouth!!'   Both 0bama and Rob'em are running to the teacher [the united nations] 'cause Governor Brewer's keepin' score and not playing politically correctly.  0bama should take this as a sign:  He's gotta grow some 'balls of his own!!']

Arizona is fighting back against the Obama administration’s decision to haul her state before the United Nations Human Rights Council. Governor Jan Brewer has written to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Friday expressing her “concern and indignation” at the administration’s report to the UN, which cited a federal lawsuit against Arizona’s immigration bill as part of its efforts to fight human rights violations.

“Apparently, the federal government is trying to make an international human rights case out of S.B. 1070 on the heels of already filing a federal court case against the State of Arizona,” the governor wrote.

She rightly noted the Orwellian aspect of a sitting president appealing to a world government to quash a popular state law. “The idea of our own American government submitting the duly enacted laws of a State of the United States to ‘review’ by the United Nations is internationalism run amok and unconstitutional,” she wrote. Brewer vowed to challenge the report all the way to the UN:
A little-discussed portion of her letter pins the blame for the increased deaths of illegal aliens where it belongs: squarely on the shoulders of barack 0bama and his Open Borders alliesThe previous administration built a border fence securing the border near San Diego, California, eliminating that as a viable port of entry. Brewer noted 0bama’s “failure to secure the entire border” and his decision “not to enforce major portions of our federal immigration laws” has encouraged alien traffickers to enter through the Arizona desert, leading to at least 170 dead illegals along that state’s border so far this year.
I again respectfully request that you amend the Report to remove Paragraph 95 relating to the State of Arizona and S.B. 1070. If you choose not to do so, the State of Arizona will monitor the proceedings and assert any rights it has in this process. Be assured that the State of Arizona will fight any attempt by the U.S. Department of State and the United Nations to interfere with the duly enacted laws of the State of Arizona in accordance with the U.S. Constitution.

Honor...Restored?
If Glenn Beck's 'Restoring Honor' rally at the Lincoln Memorial is any indication, the restoration is well on it's way!!  The low-ball estimate for last Saturday's attendees was 17,000 by...wait for it...cbs [Duh]!!  Most estimates I've heard from the national pamphleteers ranged between 300,000-600,000; with a high of one million, PLUS!!
Bob Lonsberry, host of 'The Mid-day Talk Show [11-2PM; WHAM, 1180AM],' invited local attendees to call and share their experiences.  100% of the locals who called, were wildly enthusiastic about the whole experience!!  Many appreciated the demeanor, courtesy and friendliness of the entire crowd, while others were whole-heartedly in favor of the message presented--that of returning morals and God to life in general and politics in particular.
The "Clown Prince" just 'blew it off' as inconsequential!!  November vote counts should 'tell the tale!!'

The USA Loses!!!
[...but the loss hinges on the "Clown Prince" growing some 'balls of his own' before the international stand-off!!

Spineless Regime?
[I found this article on the Navy Times website.  When I was 'in,' the rule of thumb was to "break all the toys you could, before they broke yours!!"  Now look what we have:  A spineless regime dictating that no one shoot anyone else or break anyone's toys!!]

Hold fire, earn a medal
By William H. McMichael - Staff writer

U.S. troops in Afghanistan could soon be awarded a medal for not doing something, a precedent-setting award that would be given for “courageous restraint” for holding fire to save civilian lives.  The proposal is now circulating in the Kabul headquarters of the International Security Assistance Force, a command spokesman confirmed Tuesday.
“The idea is consistent with our approach,” explained Air Force Lt. Col. Tadd Sholtis. “Our young men and women display remarkable courage every day, including situations where they refrain from using lethal force, even at risk to themselves, in order to prevent possible harm to civilians. In some situations our forces face in Afghanistan, that restraint is an act of discipline and courage not much different than those seen in combat actions.”
Soldiers are often recognized for non-combat achievement with decorations such as their service’s commendation medal. But most of the highest U.S. military decorations are for valor in combat. A medal to recognize a conscious effort to avoid a combat action would be unique.
Consideration of such an award, first reported by an Associated Press reporter in Afghanistan, doesn’t mean that, if approved, troops would be pressured to prevent such casualties at risk to themselves, Sholtis said.
“We absolutely support the right of our forces to defend themselves,” Sholtis said. “Valuing restraint in a potentially dangerous situation is not the same thing as denying troops the right to employ lethal force when they determine that it is necessary.”
A spokesman for the 2.2 million-member Veterans of Foreign Wars, the nation’s largest group of combat veterans, thinks the award would cause confusion among the ranks and send a bad signal.
“The self-protections built into the rules of engagement are clear, and the decision to return fire must be made instantly based on training and the threat,” said Joe Davis, a spokesman for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. “The enemy already hides among noncombatants, and targets them, too. The creation of such an award will only embolden their actions and put more American and noncombatant lives in jeopardy. Let’s not rush to create something that no one wants to present posthumously.”
Giving a medal for restraint was proposed by British Maj. Gen. Nick Carter, ISAF’s Regional Command South commander, during a recent visit to Kandahar by Army Command Sgt. Maj. Mike Hall, the top U.S. enlisted member in Afghanistan, Sholtis said.  U.S. Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the ISAF commander, has placed a premium on preventing civilian deaths, having last year tightened the rules of engagement for air strikes and other combat operations in an effort to prevent fatalities. Such deaths build resentment among a populace the U.S. is trying to win over as part of its counterinsurgency strategy to simultaneously drive out the Taliban and strengthen Afghan government.  According to the United Nations, more than 2,400 civilians were killed last year, although estimates vary widely. From March 21 to April 21, 173 civilians were killed in Afghanistan — a 33 percent increase over the same period the previous year — according to the Associated Press, citing Afghan Interior Ministry figures.

Oh.....The HYPOCRICY Of It All!!
In the era of many and lethal, congressional 'liberties with the truth,' various Members of Congress have the testicular fortitude [balls!!] to grill Roger Clemens on alleged lies to congress.  Hell!!  They lie to their bosses [the American voter/taxpayer] on a daily basis; to each other on an hourly basis!!
Congress is living proof:  No integrity exists inside the Beltway!!!

"Clown Prince" Weekly Blather; August 28th

A Patriotic Response To The "Clown Prince" 08/28/2010
Weekly Address
August 28, 2010
On Tuesday, after more than seven years, the United States of America will end its combat mission in Iraq and take an important step forward in responsibly ending the Iraq war.  As a candidate for this office, I pledged I would end this war. As President, that is what I am doing. We have brought home more than 90,000 troops since I took office. We have closed or turned over to Iraq hundreds of bases. In many parts of the country, Iraqis have already taken the lead for security.  In the months ahead, our troops will continue to support and train Iraqi forces, partner with Iraqis in counterterrorism missions, and protect our civilian and military efforts. But the bottom line is this: the war is ending. Like any sovereign, independent nation, Iraq is free to chart its own course. And by the end of next year, all of our troops will be home.  As we mark the end of America’s combat mission in Iraq, a grateful nation must pay tribute to all who have served there. Because part of responsibly ending this war is meeting our responsibility to those who have fought it.  The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan now make up America’s longest continuous combat engagement. For the better part of a decade, our troops and their families have served tour after tour with honor and heroism, risking and often giving their lives for the defense of our freedom and security. More than one million Americans in uniform have served in Iraq – far more than any conflict since Vietnam. And more than one million who have served in both wars have now finished their service and joined the proud ranks of America’s veterans.  What this new generation of veterans must know is this: our nation’s commitment to all who wear its uniform is a sacred trust that is as old as our republic itself. It is one that, as President, I consider a moral obligation to uphold.  At the same time, these are new wars; with new missions, new methods, and new perils. And what today’s veterans have earned – what they have every right to expect – is new care, new opportunity, and a new commitment to their service when they come home.  That’s why, from the earliest days of my Administration, we’ve been strengthening that sacred trust with our veterans by making our veterans policy more responsive and ready for this new century.
[What I'm not telling you:  My teleprompter editors have written several intentionally misleading statements into this week's blather session--the first being:  'On Tuesday......the United States of America will end it's combat mission in Iraq....'  That's just so much bovine feces!!  The remaining troops will be in far greater danger than they were on Monday, last!!  The threat level remains the same; the combat troop level is greatly reduced--A greater danger to a reduced force!!  The next ambiguous statement:  'We have brought home more than 90,000 troops since I took office,'.....  See, the average reader or listener, will take that statement to mean these troops were returned to military facilities in the United States.  While they were, the bulk of the members were replaced by other soldiers and Marines!! One of the worst statements an experienced military leader can make is to establish a conflict's 'end date.'  This just notifies the enemy that they have just to wait until that date and they'll have free reign over the entire country's military, economic, political, et al, segments!!  How's my 142 days of federal legislative experience and ZERO days of military leadership experience workin' for ya, now?!?!  There are many 'sacred trusts' that I've cast asunder, so I wouldn't "bet the farm" on me keeping any other trusts sacred!!]
We’re building a 21st century VA, modernizing and expanding VA hospitals and health care, and adapting care to better meet the unique needs of female veterans. We’re creating a single electronic health record that our troops and veterans can keep for life. We’re breaking the claims backlog and reforming the process with new paperless systems. And we are building new wounded warrior facilities through the Department of Defense  But for many of our troops and their families, the war doesn’t end when they come home. Too many suffer from Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder – the signature injuries of today’s wars – and too few receive proper screening or care. We’re changing that. We’re directing significant resources to treatment, hiring more mental health professionals, and making major investments in awareness, outreach, and suicide prevention. And we’re making it easier for a vet with PTSD to get the benefits he or she needs.  To make sure our troops, veterans, and their families have full access to the American Dream they’ve fought to defend, we’re working to extend them new opportunity. Michelle and Jill Biden have forged a national commitment to support military families while a loved one is away. We’ve guaranteed new support to caregivers who put their lives on hold for a loved one’s long recovery. We’re funding and implementing the Post-9/11 GI Bill, which is already helping some 300,000 veterans and their family members pursue their dream of a college education.
[What I'm not telling you:  GAWD.......er.......ALLAH....!!  Don'cha just gotta laugh?!?!  'full access to the American Dream they've faught to defend.....??'  Where the Hell IS that 'American Dream??'  I'll tell ya...... by the Handler Group's design, it's all but gone!!  They've had me going--willy-nilly--through the economy, through the banking and auto industries; either outright destroying their capacity to produce or strangling economic and banking sectors by inane, mostly unnecessary,  additional regulations. Remember back in March of Oh-Nine, when I tried to eliminate veterans' health and life insurance, plus employment benefits??  Man-0-Man, did that ever cause a fire-storm!!  The Group had to back away from that one!!  On the one hand, we tried to force the veterans into private health and life insurance; on the other hand, we're decimating the private health insurance industry with the provisions of 0bamaCare!!  I've taken an extra day to start writing the 'What I'm not telling you:' segment of this weekly blather opportunity; I wanted to see how the 'Glenn Beck Rally' would go at the Lincoln Memorial.  The Handler Group had 'observers' at the rally and they tell me we may have a case against the rally organizers.  Their permit was for up to 300,000 participants; the 'observers' report that there had to be in excess of 500,000 at the rally!!  With middleclass American this involved--this concerned--in the direction we're taking, the Handler Group may have to re-think the rate of destruction of the American Dream; re-think the rate of redistribution of wealth!!]
And for veterans trying to find work in a very tough economy, we’ve devoted new resources to job training and placement. I’ve directed the federal government to hire more veterans, including disabled veterans, and I encourage every business in America to follow suit. This new generation of veterans has proven itself to be a new generation of leaders. They have unmatched training and skills; they’re ready to work; and our country is stronger when we tap their extraordinary talents.  New care. New opportunity. A new commitment to our veterans.  If you’d like to send our troops and veterans a message of thanks and support, just visit whitehouse.gov. There, you’ll find an easy way to upload your own text or video.  Let them know that they have the respect and support of a grateful nation. That when their tour ends; when they see our flag; when they touch our soil; they’ll always be home in an America that is forever here for them – just as they’ve been there for us. That is the promise our nation makes to those who serve. And as long as I’m Commander-in-Chief, it’s a promise we’ll keep. Thank you.
[What I'm not telling you:  What an opportunity for fascism in general and the Handler Group in particular!!  The federal government to hire more veterans, particularly those handicapped.  Another--loosely disguised--opportunity to expand the federal government!!  Don'cha gotta love it?!?!]

This'n'That; August Twenty-fourth[FacebookPlaces;LocationPrivacy]

When Social Sites' Info Should Be "Reined In"

With the 'tweenies,' teenies, 20 and 30-somethings making full use of the social site phenomenon with posts of everything from the timing of gastric discharges [farts] to those more-than-revealing photos of themselves; there are those of us in the "geezer category" who are loathe to post everything that can be known about us!!  I found the article below{ http://www.lifehacker.com/ } [as well as the next] while surfing around last evening:

Yesterday [08/22/'10] Facebook rolled out a new feature called Places that lets you and your friends check in to locations, Foursquare-style. If you'd prefer to keep your location private, or at least stop your friends from posting it, here's how.  If you're not convinced that posting your location can be a bad thing, check out PleaseRobMe for some evidence. Of course, if you're careful, check-ins aren't inherently a bad thing. Whether or not you want to disable them is entirely up to you, but Facebook—yet again—has made the assumption that you want to take part in all of their privacy-eroding new features. If you don't, or want a little more control over who can divulge your location, you can make this change pretty quickly through your privacy settings.
  1.  Log in to Facebook. From your Account menu, choose Privacy Settings.  Click the Customize option (if it isn't already selected) and then click the "Customize settings" link (it's the one next to the pencil below the table depicting your current privacy settings).
  2.  Under the "Things I Share" heading, all the way at the bottom (of that section), there are two things you may want to change. By default "Places I check in" should be set to only be visible by your friends. If you want to limit it more or less, use the drop down menu to do so. I set mine to "Only Me," which is as private as you're going to get. Below that option is "Include me in 'People Here Now' after I check in." It is enabled by default. This will let people know you're at a particular location via the location's page or in a search for people near you. Uncheck "Enable" if you don't want this.
  3.  Lastly—and this is the important one—if you don't want your friends to check you into Places, sharing your current location with a bunch of people you may or may not know, go down to the section called "Things Others Share" and find "Friends can check me in to Places." Initially, mine wasn't set to anything at all so the default option could be either choice. Regardless, set this to "Disabled" if you don't want your friends checking you in. Keep in mind that any friend could potentially check you in anywhere. You don't actually have to be there. If you don't want anyone playing a practical joke and checking you in to a strip club, for example, this is a good thing to turn off.
Another 'Good' Site
[From: http://www.pleaserobme.com/ >> 'On location Privacy, and How To Lose It Forever' and the next topic--'Over-Sharing and Location Awareness.'  When you click on either of these topics, you'll be taken to http://www.eff.org/ ; the Electronic Frontier Foundation].  Much of the highly useful information is like this listing of areas that already record your individual location:
•Monthly transit swipe-cards

•Electronic tolling devices (FastTrak, EZpass, congestion pricing)
•Cellphones
•Services telling you when your friends are nearby
•Searches on your PDA for services and businesses near your current location
•Free Wi-Fi with ads for businesses near the network access point you're using
•Electronic swipe cards for doors
•Parking meters you can call to add money to, and which send you a text message when your time is running out
.....and much more, very informative, information--READ and HEED!!

This'n'That; August Twenty-third[Pamphlateers;KochBrothers]

The Media Reduced To Pamphleteers
[Definition:  Pamphleteer--a writer of pamphlets or other short works taking a partisan stand on an issue.]

Remember when your local daily paper went "against the wind" and reported on all goings on in the town or the city or the nation, even??  You may have read that the mayor got caught 'bopping' his secretary or a local charity official was dipping into the till or that a former president had an affair with his female driver during a dire national emergency.  In later editions you may have read that the mayor had secretly married his secretary or that the charity official had uncovered accounting errors or that the former president's affair was substantiated and he'd issued an apology.
Not so much, any more!!
Now, we get nothing more than the fascist 'party line.'  Seems like the editor makes a phone call or receives an email telling him or her what the 'line' will be on each article.  There's seems to be 'no such animal' as an investigative reporter; the paper just prints what it's told to print--even when a logical look at the facts will tell the editor that the 'story line' just isn't so!!
Now don't get me wrong!!  I hold the position that there ain't a dime's worth'a difference between either political party.  Politically, I'm somewhere to the right of Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity and Savage--but that doesn't mean I'm a republicRAT as opposed to being an 0bamacRAT or democRAT!!  I am--what I like to call--"an American Patriot!!"
With the pamphleteers as they are, the only way to get both sides of any issue is to find some other publication you feel is unbiased-difficult as that task may be!!  Once I chose the National Review magazine, I was truely amazed at the number and length of articles that did not 'toe the party line' ["party" in this case meaning the fascists-that group determined to destroy any remaining vestige of American freedom].  The articles seem to be well researched and often go against my grain as an ultra-conservative, in that they defend some actions of the fascist legislators and government executives.
SIDEBAR:  That brings to mind a discussion I had with one of those 'call-back' census workers.  She had to come to the house because the only things I put on the mail-in form were: 2 adults occupy the apartment;  one is male;  one is female--THAT'S IT!!  She went through all of the twenty--or so--questions, one at a time, expecting the politically correct answer.  The question that really stuck in my craw was the one about race.  She asked me for it; I told her 'American Patriot'.  She wanted a race, I asked her why.  Apparently if I was of a minority race my locality would be eligible for more federal funds; I--personally--would be eligible for federal and state financial and educational help.  She had difficulty in my reasoning that in the face of these vast government benefits, I would still refuse to name a race.  The lady couldn't fathom that I just wanted 'the government' to stay out of my personal life and leave me alone!!  She left with about eighteen of the questions unanswered!!

The print edition of National Review has about--maybe--2% of the circulation of the pamphlet rags who call themselves national dailies.  The internet notwithstanding, how do these dailies maintain their readership??  Can everyone except my 'American Patriot' friends and I,  be that stupid??  I doubt it, seriously!!  There are exceptions to those national dailies, most notibly The Wall Street Journal and Investor's Business Daily--both fine and fair, publications!!  I made my choice over these two only due to economics--their subscription prices are out of my league as a retiree.

"The Good Fight" Is About To Begin!
The billionaires waging war on 0bama
www.newyorker.com/reporting/2010/08/30/100830fa_fact_mayer ]
Charles and David Koch are the most powerful people you’ve never heard of, according to an in-depth profile of the two brothers published in this week’s The New Yorker.  The two brothers — who rank among the 10 richest Americans – have funneled at least $100 million to right-wing groups, including foundations, think-tanks and political groups. Their goal? To tear government out by the root. And to promote a pro-corporate agenda that meshes with their own financial interests.
The article details how the Kochs, who own Koch Industries, have often funded research or advocacy that not only supports their libertarian philosophy but also their own bottom line. Their company owns oil refineries, pipelines and the Georgia-Pacific paper and chemical conglomerate.
The Kochs don’t just give money and go away; they exert strong control over what’s done with their political philanthropy.
“The Kochs are longtime libertarians who believe in drastically lower personal and corporate taxes, minimal social services for the needy, and much less oversight of industry — especially environmental regulation. These views dovetail with the brothers’ corporate interests.”

The New Yorker profile shows that American politics would be a far different world without the Koch brothers. They’ve funded most of the research that tries to debunk climate change. They funded the rallies last summer that fired up opposition to the health-care bill. And they’ve helped organize the Tea Party into a force to be reckoned with.  For decades, the Kochs were able to win many policy battles by having a small battalion of academics, researchers, lawyers and journalists on their side. Now, with the rise of the Tea Party, they may have the foot soldiers they need to win the war.

his'n'That; August Twenty-second [Jaguars, Credit??]

Talk About Your "Basic Instincts"
I found this article while surfing around the various investment sites I check regularly.  Remember:  This article was originally published on February 20,2004; at least a year before the housing bubble "blew everything to Hell!"

Jaguar Inflation

Mises Daily:
Thursday, February 19, 2009
by Robert R. Prechter, Jr.
[The original version of this article appeared in the February 20, 2004 issue of The Elliott Wave Theorist, a year before the housing-credit bubble burst. An MP3 audio file of this article, read by Dr. Floy Lilley, is available for download.]

I am tired of hearing economists argue that government and the Fed should expand credit for the good of the economy. Sometimes an analogy clarifies a subject, so let's try one.

It may sound crazy, but suppose the government were to decide that the health of the nation depends upon producing Jaguar automobiles and providing them to as many people as possible.

To facilitate that goal, it begins operating Jaguar plants all over the country, subsidizing production with tax money. To everyone's delight, it offers these luxury cars for sale at 50% off the old price. People flock to the showrooms and buy.

Later, sales slow down, so the government cuts the price in half again. More people rush in and buy. Sales again slow, so it lowers the price to $900 each. People return to the stores to buy two or three, or half a dozen. Why not? Look how cheap they are! Buyers give Jaguars to their kids and park an extra one on the lawn. Finally, the country is awash in Jaguars.

Alas, sales slow again, and the government panics. It must move more Jaguars, or, according to its theory — ironically now made fact — the economy will recede. People are working three days a week just to pay their taxes so the government can keep producing more Jaguars. If Jaguars stop moving, the economy will stop. So the government announces "stimulus" programs and begins giving Jaguars away. A few more cars move out of the showrooms, but then it ends. Nobody wants any more Jaguars. They don't care if they're free. They can't find a use for them. Production of Jaguars ceases.

It takes years to work through the overhanging supply of Jaguars. The factories close, unemployment soars and tax collections collapse. The economy is wrecked. People can't afford repairs or gasoline, so many of the Jaguars rust away to worthlessness. The number of Jaguars — at best — returns to the level it was before the program began.

The same thing can happen with credit.

It may sound crazy, but suppose the government were to decide that the health of the nation depends upon producing credit and providing it to as many people as possible.

To facilitate that goal, it begins operating credit-production plants all over the country — called Federal Reserve Banks, Federal Home Loan Banks, Fannie Mae, Sallie Mae, and Freddie Mac, all subsidized by monopoly powers or government guarantees — to funnel credit to the public through banks. To everyone's delight, banks begin reducing collateral requirements and thereby offering credit for sale at below-market rates. People flock to the banks and buy.

Later, sales slow down, so banks cut the price again. More people rush in and buy. Sales again slow, so lenders lower the price to 1% with no collateral and no money down. People return to the banks to buy even more credit. Why not? Look how cheap it is! Borrowers use credit to buy houses, boats, and an extra Jaguar to park out on the lawn. Finally, the country is awash in credit.

Alas, sales slow again, and government and banks start to panic. They must move more credit, or, according to its theory — ironically now made fact — the economy will recede. People are working three days a week just to pay the interest on their debt to the banks so the banks can keep offering more credit. If credit stops moving, the economy will stop. So the government announces "stimulus" programs and begins giving credit away, at 0% interest. A few more loans move through the tellers' windows, but then it ends. Nobody wants any more credit. They don't care if it's free. They can't find a use for it. Production of credit ceases.

It takes years to work through the overhanging supply of credit. Banks close, unemployment soars and tax collections collapse. The economy is wrecked. People can't afford to pay interest on their debts, so many IOUs deteriorate to worthlessness. The value of credit — at best — returns to the level it was before the program began.

See how it works?

Is the analogy perfect? No. The idea of pushing credit on people is far more dangerous than the idea of pushing Jaguars on them. In the credit scenario, debtors and even most creditors lose everything in the end. In the Jaguar scenario, at least everyone ends up with a garage full of cars. Of course, the Jaguar scenario is impossible, because the government can't produce value. It can, however, reduce values.

A government that imposes a central bank monopoly, for example, can reduce the incremental value of credit. A monopoly credit system also allows for fraud and theft on a far bigger scale. Instead of government appropriating citizens' labor openly by having them produce cars, monopoly banking and credit machines do so clandestinely by stealing stored labor from citizens' bank accounts by inflating the supply of credit, thereby reducing the value of savings.

Twentieth-century macroeconomic theory — both Keynesian and monetarist — championed the idea that a growing economy needs easy credit. But this is a false theory. Credit should be supplied by the free market, in which case it will almost always be offered intelligently, primarily to producers, not consumers.

"Let's go back to using real money."Would lesser availability of consumer credit mean that fewer people would own a house or a car? Quite the opposite. Only the timeline would be different. Initially it would take a few years longer for the same number of people to save enough to own houses and cars — actually own them, not rent them from banks. Prices would be lower because credit would not be competing with money to bid up these goods. And, because banks would not be appropriating so much of people's labor and wealth, the economy as a whole would grow much faster. Eventually, the extent of home and car ownership — actual ownership — would eclipse that in an easy-credit society. Moreover, people would keep their homes and cars because banks would not be foreclosing on them. As a bonus, there would be no devastating across-the-board collapse of the banking system, which, as history has repeatedly demonstrated, is inevitable under a system of central banking and other government-created credit factories.

Jaguars, anyone? More credit?
Here's a better idea: let's go back to using real money.

"Clown Prince" Weekly Blather; August 21st

A Patriotic Response Top The "Clown Prince" 08/21/2010

Weekly Address

August 21, 2010

As the political season heats up, Americans are already being inundated with the usual phone calls, mailings, and TV ads from campaigns all across the country. But this summer, they’re also seeing a flood of attack ads run by shadowy groups with harmless-sounding names. We don’t know who’s behind these ads and we don’t know who’s paying for them.  The reason this is happening is because of a decision by the Supreme Court in the Citizens United case – a decision that now allows big corporations to spend unlimited amounts of money to influence our elections. They can buy millions of dollars worth of TV ads – and worst of all, they don’t even have to reveal who is actually paying for them. You don’t know if it’s a foreign-controlled corporation. You don’t know if it’s BP. You don’t know if it’s a big insurance company or a Wall Street Bank. A group can hide behind a phony name like “Citizens for a Better Future,” even if a more accurate name would be “Corporations for Weaker Oversight.”
[What I'm not telling you: Although most Americans fail to realize it, those 'shadowy groups with harmless-sounding names,' runs both ways!  How 'bout my chief Handler's own "Media Matters?"  One might glean from the title that those issues involving--and those issues initiated by--the MEDIA, actually MATTERS to the entire American literary landscape.  Not so!!  This organization remains the primary outlet for Soros' philosophies, plans and programs-ALL LIBERAL, ALL FASCIST, ALL PROGRESSIVE!! There's ACORN and it's subsidaries; populated by nothing more than street thugs in Brooks Brothers' suits!!  I should know, that's where I got my executive, legislative 'training!!'  What about those New Black Panthers??  There's not much new about them!!  They're still radical, racist thugs advocating the killing of ALL white newborns!!  There's no rationale for using more accurate names in these socio-political organizations; if that were true, the most prominent among them would be 'outed' as primarily fascist organizations just by virtrue of their names!!  Soros and his cronies spent millions in corporate money in having me bought-and-paid-for, selected and elected.  The major underlying theme here is fascist hypocracy;  "It's ok for us; It's not ok for them!!" ]

We tried to fix this last month. There was a proposal supported by Democrats and Republicans that would’ve required corporate political advertisers to reveal who’s funding their activities. When special interests take to the airwaves, whoever is running and funding the ad would have to appear in the advertisement and take responsibility for it – like a company’s CEO or an organization’s biggest contributor. And foreign-controlled corporations and entities would be restricted from spending money to influence American elections – just as they were in the past.  You would think that making these reforms would be a matter of common sense. You’d think that reducing corporate and even foreign influence over our elections wouldn’t be a partisan issue.  But the Republican leaders in Congress said no. In fact, they used their power to block the issue from even coming up for a vote.  This can only mean that the leaders of the other party want to keep the public in the dark. They don’t want you to know which interests are paying for the ads. The only people who don’t want to disclose the truth are people with something to hide.  Well, we cannot allow the corporate takeover of our democracy. So we’re going to continue to fight for reform and transparency. And I urge all of you to take up the same fight. Let’s challenge every elected official who benefits from these ads to defend this practice or join us in stopping it.  At a time of such challenge for America, we can’t afford these political games. Millions of Americans are struggling to get by, and their voices shouldn’t be drowned out by millions of dollars in secret, special interest advertising. Their voices should be heard.
[What I'm not telling you:  The legislation proposed by the congressional fascists would have done NOTHING MORE than changed the signatory on the checks.  The republicRATs were right to oppose this legislation; we all know that the lobbyists control both "thought and action" inside the beltway!!  Oops!!  I shouldn't have used the 'L' word; I falsely promised that none would serve in the administration-now there are hundreds at work for me and the Handler Group!!  The American voter is well aware of the control these vultures exert on the entire political establishment;  the voter also knows that currently, there's nothing that can be done about it!!  The 'Tea Party' establishment are the only ones who've managed to circumvent the system, quite effectively I might add.]
Let’s not forget that a century ago, it was a Republican President – Teddy Roosevelt – who first tried to tackle the issue of corporate influence on our elections. He actually called it “one of the principal sources of corruption in our political affairs.” And he proposed strict limits on corporate influence in elections. “Every special interest is entitled to justice,” he said. “but not one is entitled to a vote in Congress, to a voice on the bench, or to representation in any public office.”  We now face a similar challenge, and a similar opportunity to prevent special interests from gaining even more clout in Washington. This shouldn’t be a Democratic issue or a Republican issue. This is an issue that goes to whether or not we will have a democracy that works for ordinary Americans – a government of, by, and for the people. Let’s show the cynics and the special interests that we still can.
[What I'm not telling you:  Politicians of the 'Teddy Roosevelt ilk' were the same folks that brought us the failed legislation of the Eighteenth Amendment, commonly known as "prohibition."  We all know how well that worked!!  The same fascist mentality bought us the Sixteenth Amendment, which we all suffer under each workday of the year and particularly those days leading up to April 15th, each year!!  This became a leading forerunner of 'wealth re-distribution' a major plank in the fascist philosophy.  The working class continues to suffer under these usurious taxes while we--the ruling class--continue to piss away far more than we collect..... only to demand more and more!!  The true issue in this entire blather opportunity is: whether the populus will continue to be apathetic to to the current philosophy of a government of, by, and for THE RULING CLASS as it currently stands OR will rebel against it in favor of returning to the strict precipts of the United States Constitution.  Time and conservatism will tell......]

This'n'That; August nineteenth[Bankruptcies;IssaConfirmation]

"Clown Prince" 0bama 'Scores A High!'
With 0bama's complete incompetence in all things economic, we now see that bankruptcies have reached a FIVE YEAR HIGH!!  (His major quandry now is how to spin it into being President Bush's fault!!!)

Bankruptcy filings in the U.S. reached the highest rate since 2005, according to government data released yesterday. There were 422,061 bankruptcy filings between April and June of this year, according to the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, up 9% from 388,148 in the prior three-month period, and up 11% from 381,073 a year earlier. For the year ended June 30, there were 1.57M bankruptcies, up 20% from 1.31M a year earlier. Consumer bankruptcies rose 21% to 1.5M, and business bankruptcies rose 9% to 59,608.
We Needed Confirmation?!?!
As if we needed it; we now have confirmation of portions of Rep Darrell Issa's "oversight" report (see yesterday's entry) on 0bama's crooked, fascist  shenanigans.  An article (excerpted here) surfaced (from http://www.exposeobama.com/ ) with verification from former 0bama fascist activists:

A radical left-wing activist has confirmed Republican charges that the obama administration runs an extensive and potentially illegal propaganda campaign from the White House.  Sally Kohn wrote in The Huffington Post yesterday that she attended a May 12, 2009, meeting in which multiple obama administration officials asked the radical Left to promote its legislative agenda.
Among other things, Kohn confirms Jarrett was present, although the meeting’s notes tried to airbrush her out of the summit.
I reported on this “cultural policy” summit called by Valerie Jarrett nearly a year ago. Dozens of the most extreme activists on the left-wing’s fringe met in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building with eight obama administration officials, all of whom report either to Jarrett or First Lady Michelle Obama. The meeting’s summary noted that “more than 60 artists and creative organizers…came together for a White House briefing on Art, Community, Social Justice, National Recovery.”

The activists then broke into groups to “ideate” on how to best promote the president’s legislative agenda. Michelle Miller of the SEIU suggested participants:
The obama administration officials made it clear they wanted the fringe leftists to help shape the president’s agenda, then promote the obama party line. Tina Tchen, who works in Jarrett’s Office of Public Engagement, told attendees, “The administration wants to sustain energy from the election process and turn it toward the agenda.” Buffy Wicks, who would later take party in the infamous NEA call, “asked briefing participants to think through how their networks and organizations can participate in areas such as the arts in education, healthcare and preventative care, energy and environment, or economic opportunity.”

Sally Kohn's panel lamented the failure of the 2007 amnesty bill but hoped, “Artists and cultural organizers can play a critical role this year on helping advance the legislation, as well as over the coming years helping bring the humanity and personal/family stories of the issue to light.”  Kohn revealed yesterday that this meeting was the beginning, not the end, of the radical Left’s collusion with obama.
“Create a counter narrative to the Luntz memo/Republican talking points designed to destroy health care reform. They can offer creative, humorous voices that can think outside of white papers or New York Times op-eds to communicate effectively about the importance of health care reform and diminish the increasing attacks on our movement for reform. For example, the satirical webisodes SEIU is producing with comedy writers with content from Lutz [sic.] memo.”

In other words, obama administration officials, led by Valerie Jarrett, have directed a year-long covert propaganda campaign from the White House aimed at securing support for its agenda from the most radical elements of the political spectrum.  The invitation list included several associates of Van Jones and a number of left-wing conspiracy theorists who believe the CIA sells crack in minority neighborhoods.
“The White House convened a weekly meeting called ‘Common Purpose’ at which DC progressive organizations were invited,” she wrote. At these Common Purpose meetings, “the White House dictated its agenda and appealed to the professional left for back-up.”

Kohn’s revelations should provide fresh fodder for investigators, and a clear window into the radical bent of this administration.  The question we should all ponder is: Which is more frightening, the obama administration’s covert propaganda campaign or the anti-American extremists they got in bed with in order to execute it?
Perhaps the worst example of the people obama is willing to play ball with is someone who calls herself “Rha Goddess.” Rha’s biography describes her as “the former International Spokeswoman for the Universal Zulu Nation.” That group teaches “The Bible has been tampered with and must be reinterpreted” in accordance with the Koran. Its manifesto teaches its members their opponents are “a race of Devils,” whom they “should fight in The Name of Allah, Jah, Jehovah, Eloahim, The Creator, The Most High Supreme One, God.”

***Anyone remember when "Slick-Willie" and Hillary "Rob-em" Clinton were pulling shit like this??  The common opinion at the time was: it's just 'THE CLINTON WAY!'  Apparently, not so!!  This article indicates to me that ALL fascists, liberals, progressives--whatever they're calling themselves, these days--use such underhanded methods!!***

This'n'That; August Eighteenth[Issa;Cartoon;Nativity;Hasman]

FINALLY, Someone 'Overseeing' The "Clown Prince!"
THANK GAWD for principled Congressmen!!  No matter what his agenda, Rep Darrell Issa(r, Ca) certainly seems to be looking out for the interests of ALL AMERICANS, not just Californians; not just republicRATs.  As the ranking republicRAT member of the House Cmte on Oversight and Government Reform, Mr Issa has uncovered various transgressions by the federal government. Not the least being the "Clown Prince's" use of taxpayer monies to promote his fascist agenda and soon-to-fail policies and programs.  Some of the of the misappropriated funds were used thus [a partial list of the 36 financial misappropriations discovered-for the complete list, a link is provided below]:
  • Using federal arts grants to spread Obama’s legislative message. Last August 10, administration officials held a conference call with National Endowment of the Arts grant recipients. Buffy Wicks, a college radical who worked in Valerie Jarrett’s Office of Public Engagement, told the invitees, “we’re going to come at you with some specific ‘asks’ here,” specifically supporting Obama’s initiatives on health care, the environment, or energy. She suggested, “We wanted folks to connect…with federal agencies, with labor unions, progressive groups, face groups [faith groups, perhaps?], women’s groups, you name it.” Within 48 hours, no fewer than 21 arts organizations released a statement endorsing ObamaCare.
  • The Dept. of Health and Human Services paid MIT economist Jonathan Gruber nearly $400,000 for various jobs. He did not disclose his employment by HHS while writing a string of op-eds, nor while testifying before the Senate in favor of, ObamaCare.
  • The Justice Dept. hired Tracy Russo, the former blogger for John Edwards, to comment on internet articles or bulletin board messages that criticized Barack Obama and his agenda. She did this anonymously or used a pen name.
  • A Dept. of Education officer used the White House email to send his colleagues eight bullet points to “communicate the merits of the President’s proposal with your members and their audiences.”
  • The federal government “highly recommended” constructing highway signs that tout big government and advertise politicians (including Obama). (Watch the committee’s video on the subject here.)
  • Obama attempted to enlist “voluntary” Hollywood propaganda for his proposals through the iParticipate campaign.
  • Andy Griffith starred in a Medicare “update” that doubled as a commercial for Obama’s health care legislation. Not only is the PSAl propaganda, it is erroneous. A writer with the nonpartisan FactCheck.org remarked Griffith’s scripted “promise that ‘benefits will remain the same’ is just as fictional as the town of Mayberry.”
  • The White House routinely drove traffic to websites that lobby for Obama’s legislation.

Mr Issa has recommended that the Government Accountability Office (GAO) investigate these findings.  If the allegations are found to have merit, they would be impeachable offenses.

The Next 'Bubble' to Burst?!?!

The "Porkulus" Bubble
When the bubble surrounding the 0bama administration pops, will the media conduct some introspection and then fairly and honestly report on the fascist goings-on in the District of Columbia??  Anyone's guess, but probably not!!
{and..... NO!!  I did not suddenly start capitalizing the first letter of the "Clown Prince"..... That's a ZERO, reflecting his value to the country and to confuse those 0bama hirelings with the software to search out the name "ZEROBAMA!!"}
The cartoon above is from http://www.exposeobama.com/

Upcoming Holiday Season
During his recent 'Campaign of Fluff,' the "Clown Prince" fastidiously avoided questions about his faith.  We can--by virture of his support of the Ground Zero mosque--be assured he's a muslim.  It matters not a whit to me!!  It may have served him better to be more forthcoming about his religious preference prior to this.  Now that he's declared for religious freedom and tolerance, will he reign in the ACLU with respect to the Christian 'Nativity' displays in public view??  I'm bettin' he'll be 'deafeningly quiet' on the topic!!

Local (Rochester, N.Y.) News
On August 11th, Craig S. Hasman, 50, of Lake Avenue was charged with second-degree assault, a felony.  The arrest followed an incident that involved two vehicles — a motorcycle and a minivan — that were both southbound on Lake when the motorcyclist and the driver of the minivan started arguing near Driving Park Avenue, said Rochester Police Officer Stephen Scott.  When both vehicles stopped at a red light at Lyell Avenue about 9 p.m., Scott said, passenger Michael Lee, 30, of Rochester got out of the minivan and approached the motorcyclist, Hasman, and punched him in the head, knocking him off the cycle.  Hasman is accused of retrieving his legally registered handgun and shooting Lee once in the abdomen.  Lee was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he had surgery last night, officers said. He was listed in satisfactory condition today, according to a hospital spokeswoman.  According to the passenger on the motorcycle and the minivan's driver — neither of whom were involved in the physical fight — Lee and Hasman were fighting about tailgating.  “It appears to be an incident of aggressive driving,” Scott said. The minivan was following the motorcycle on Lake Avenue and the involved men were yelling at each other from their respective vehicles, he said.  Teresa Mancuso, the passenger on Hasman’s motorcycle, told police that the minivan was tailgating the motorcycle before the altercation, according to City Court documents. The driver of the minivan, Johndale Hartzog, claimed the motorcyclist accused him of tailgating and threatened him and Lee while both vehicles were still traveling south on Lake.  Scott said officers did not believe Lee and Hasman knew one another.  Hasman today was remanded to the Monroe County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court to appear with an attorney at 11 a.m. tomorrow.  Officers continue to investigate the incident. Scott said the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office would need to determine whether either man in the van would face charges.
The community's popular opinion is that Mr Lee should have been charged with something, given that he allegedly initiated the altercation.  All who will eventually be charged in this situation will face fairly large legal expenses.   On several occasions, FUBOwear has supported various causes as they are Mr Hasman, the apparent victim in this incident.  In that vein, they've started a fund drive in his support:

[As written on the FUBOwear site:

"Clown Prince" Weekly Blather; August 14th

A Patriotic Response To The "Clown Prince;" 08/14/2010
[9:00AM, 08/14:  Note to my four Washington, D.C., readers:  Thus far, I've been unable to access the Whitehouse.gov's text of obama's weekly blather/photo op.  I keep getting the "404" message: 'page not available.'  Curiouser and curiouser!!  Why is the video available but not the text??  Is obama/Soros afraid of the 'Patriotic Response?'  We'll keep trying!!]

August 14, 2010
Washington, DC
Seventy-five years ago today, in the midst of the Great Depression, Franklin Roosevelt signed Social Security into law, laying a cornerstone in the foundation of America’s middle class, and assuring generations of America’s seniors that after a lifetime of hard work, they’d have a chance to retire with dignity. We have an obligation to keep that promise; to safeguard Social Security for our seniors, people with disabilities, and all Americans – today, tomorrow, and forever.  Now, we’ve been talking for a long time about how to do that; about how to make sure Social Security is healthy enough to cover the higher costs that are kicking in now that baby boomers are retiring. And I’m committed to working with anyone, Democrat or Republican, who wants to strengthen Social Security. I’m also encouraged by the reports of serious bipartisan work being done on this and other issues in the fiscal commission that I set up several months ago.  [What I'm not telling you:  FDR and his administration--much like myself, my handler group, my administration and modern politicians of all stripes--took 'great liberties with the truth.'  Roosevelt, in order to gain support, calmed the nations' privacy fears by assuring the public that the social security number WOULD NEVER BE USED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE!!  How's that falsehood workin' out for ya?!?!  There are dam' few transactions--public or private--that can be conducted without revealing an individual's SSN!!  Now on to the modern era:  Remember when the congress swore that all the social security taxes collected would go into a 'federal lock box,' not to be used for ANY OTHER PURPOSE??  How's that lie workin' out for the workers' retirement forecasts?!?!  When those funds were to be segregated into a lock box, they were to be invested in government securities, allegedly the safest in the world.  Now that my handler group has had me decimate the national economy, those 'safest-in-the-world' securities now have annual dividend returns of zero-point-shit!!  EVEN IF the congress hadn't pissed away the social security tax receipts, they couldn't possibly earn enough to meet retirement obligations.]
One thing we can’t afford to do though is privatize Social Security – an ill-conceived idea that would add trillions of dollars to our budget deficit while tying your benefits to the whims of Wall Street traders and the ups and downs of the stock market.  A few years ago, we had a debate about privatizing Social Security. And I’d have thought that debate would’ve been put to rest once and for all by the financial crisis we’ve just experienced. I’d have thought, after being reminded how quickly the stock market can tumble, after seeing the wealth people worked a lifetime to earn wiped out in a matter of days, that no one would want to place bets with Social Security on Wall Street; that everyone would understand why we need to be prudent about investing the retirement money of tens of millions of Americans.   But some Republican leaders in Congress don’t seem to have learned any lessons from the past few years. They’re pushing to make privatizing Social Security a key part of their legislative agenda if they win a majority in Congress this fall. It’s right up there on their to-do list with repealing some of the Medicare benefits and reforms that are adding at least a dozen years to the fiscal health of Medicare – the single longest extension in history.  [What I'm not telling you:  Anyone with a modicum of economic knowledge and intelligence would say that at least partial privatization of Social Secuity IS THE ONLY RECOURSE!! From my fascist point of view, there's a couple of things wrong with this 'privatization' scenario:
  • The government would lose ALL CONTROL of the pre-determined percentage of privatized monies.
  • In the 'control' vein, the government MUST establish a COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT board of governors to determine the investment strategies, investment vehicles, other variables pertaining to investors vs investments.
I don't foresee this happening; the politicians OF ANY PARTY will not relinquish control of tax receipts--for any purpose that does not directly benefit them!!  The congress [including myself, during my 142 days of federal experience] certainly DID NOT LEARN from their past mistakes!!  The single best thing to do for the continuation of Social Security as we know it, is to re-establish and adhere to the provisions of the LOCK BOX strategy!!!  Excepting myself, my handler group and my administration, any incompetent boob knows that the stock market is the ONLY PLACE TO ACTUALLY make a profit in investments over time.  Assuming that I'm thrown out on my ass in the next election, the stock market will continue to grow to it's previous highs.  The stock market HAS ALWAYS returned even after the devistation of 'The Great Depression' and IT WILL after my very own 'Great Recession!!'  Given the history of the lengths of the recovery periods, the privatization should not apply to those over 50 years old;  the stock market historically operates on 10 year cycles. Let's look at a conservative (UGH!! That term!!) example:
  • Let's say an average worker in the U.S. earns $35,000 annually.
  • The current Social Security tax on those earnings is:  6.2% or $2,170, annually.
  • Let's say the privatization board of governors deemed (shades of 'Geeze-Louise' Slaughter!) a maximum of 15% of the tax receipts could be invested, in this case:  $325.50 per year.
  • Let's further say that this mythical worker has a working-life of 25 years, averaging the aforementioned $35,000.  The worker will have privatized a principal of $8,137.50-a rather miniscule amount.
  • With a realistic 4% average annual return over 25 years, the worker would have $109,814 {20 years-$76,944; 15 years-$40,560; 10 years-$18,590; 5 years-$5,070}.
[08/16 Addendum: 26 year (1973-2009) stock market average: 17.1%!! BUT WAIT.... The "Clown Prince's" Handler Group haven't really put their minds to it's total destruction!!  A distinct possibility now that Soros has purchased a portion of the Indian stock market!!!]

I seriously doubt that either myself, my handler group or the congress would--or could--give up  control over the vast amount of private monies that would be generated if only 1,000,000 taxpayers took advantage of this investment!!]

That agenda is wrong for seniors, it’s wrong for America, and I won’t let it happen. Not while I’m President. I’ll fight with everything I’ve got to stop those who would gamble your Social Security on Wall Street. Because you shouldn’t be worried that a sudden downturn in the stock market will put all you’ve worked so hard for – all you’ve earned – at risk. You should have the peace of mind of knowing that after meeting your responsibilities and paying into the system all your lives, you’ll get the benefits you deserve.  Seventy-five years ago today, Franklin Roosevelt made a promise. He promised that from that day forward, we’d offer – quote – “some measure of protection to the average citizen and to his family against&hellippoverty-stricken old age.” That’s a promise each generation of Americans has kept. And it’s a promise America will continue to keep so long as I have the honor of serving as President.  [What I'm not telling you: Ah-Haaa!!  You're about to hear ONE TRUISM from me!!  The privatization agenda IS WRONG FOR SENIORS!! Given the ups-and-downs of any market-controlled investment, the privatized retirement system is only for the young workers and should have an automatic and non-negotiatable point at which all invested funds would be transferred to a money-market account also controlled by the same board of governors.  President Roosevelt's promise...... that one about "poverty-stricken old age......" yea that one.....; It was wonderful prose, but the premise went 'away' with the advent of an on-going fascist congress, wealth re-distribution and communistic levels of control over every aspect of American human life!!!!!]

This'n'That; August Thirteenth[GM;BankFailures;LimbaughWedding]

The official "Regime" Symbol
Was obamaMotors CEO Forced Out?
Ed Whitacre's resignation yesterday [08/12] leaves more questions than answers.  Mister Whitacre had referred to General Motors as "Government Motors" during an August 5th promotion of the Chevy 'Volt.'  The obama/Soros regime doesn't seem to get that actions have consequences--actual or perceived!
Ed Whitacre
With GM on the verge of filing their 'S-1' with the SEC; a step in the procedure required to "go public" and issue new stock. The last thing a company with a pending IPO wants is the perception of instability in top management.
This is probably a stellar action by Mr Whitacre, who surely doesn't want to be in charge of obamaMotors during the dismal lifecycle of the Chevy Volt.  With the economy in an obama/Soros inspired "Great Recession," who will be able to...or.... even want to, buy a Volt??  This car is priced $11,000 above the competition with 30% of the miles-per-charge of that competitor!!  Even with the Taxpayer rebate of $7,500, this car will never be affordable!!!

The official "Regime" Symbol
"Clown Prince" obama Illustrates He's A FAILURE!!
One need only look to the 'bank failures' record of this regime to see that the "Clown Prince" surrounds himself with economically inept fascist CLODS!!

{MORE evidence that 'education' DOES NOT EQUAL 'intelligence!!'}
During the last year of the hated, vilified, 'cowboy,' administration of former President George "Dub'Ya" Bush [2008] there were twenty-five--count'em...25--bank failures!!
Since the inception of the current regime, there have been 243 CONFIRMED bank failures; 133 during 2009 and 110 SO FAR in 2010!!  But, "it's early, yet."  The "Clown Prince" is on a pace to score a bank failure total of 191 through 12/31/'10!!
Is he trying to outdo his fascist mentor--FDR--who had a Depression Era, five-year total of 9,812 (1929-1934) bank suspensions??  HOPEFULLY, he'll never have the opportunity for a FIVE-YEAR total OF ANYTHING!!!
In all fairness (obama-Fairness is a conservative term; I don't expect you to understand or define it), the term 'bank suspension' means that a particular bank was closed for a period of time during a given year--NOT necessarily a complete failure.
Oh, By The Way......
Rush Limbaugh recently got married in South Florida.  He now has a Facebook page where 20 wedding photos can be viewed.
