A Patriotic Response To The "Clown Prince;" 03/05/2011
Miami, Florida
[NOT 'barackingham Palace']
March 5, 2011
I’m talking with you from Miami, Florida, where I’m visiting Miami Central High School, a school that’s turning itself around on behalf of its kids. And I came here with Jeb Bush, former governor of this state, because he and I share the view that education isn’t a partisan issue – it’s an American issue. But in a larger sense, this is a moment when we’ve all got to do what the students and teachers are doing here. We’ve got to step up our game. Our top priority right now has to be creating new jobs and opportunities in a fiercely competitive world. And this week, we received very good news on that front. We learned that the unemployment rate has fallen to its lowest level in nearly two years as our economy added another 222,000 private sector jobs last month. Now, we have a lot more work to do, not just for the Americans who still don’t have a job, but for the millions more who still don’t have the right job or all the work they need to live out the American Dream. But the progress we’re seeing says something about the determination and ingenuity of our people and our businesses. What’s also helping to fuel this economic growth are the tax cuts that Democrats and Republicans came together to pass in December and I signed into law – tax cuts that are already making Americans’ paychecks bigger and allowing businesses to write off their investments, freeing up more money for job creation.
[What I'm not telling you: The 'added jobs' number and the 'unemployment rate' numbers track two distinctly separate portions of the same area of the economy. The 'added jobs' is just that, actual numbers of jobs added over a specified period of time; the 'unemployment rate' numbers indicate several areas in the overall unemployment picture. Being the consummate, habitual liar that I am, I kinda automatically fudge any statistics that George Soros puts in front of me to blather upon. In this case the Bureau of Labor Statistics (http://www.bls.gov/cps/) reports only 192,000, whereas I indicated that the number is 222,000!! Ah, what's 30,000 jobs between friends?!? The 'unemployment rate' could mean any one of six inclusive areas of unemployment (U-1 through U-6). The two areas most important to the public are the U-3 and U-6 rates. The U-3 is the official rate and is currently 8.9%; (GWBush=~3.8-7.7%); the U-6 is made up of all those not currently employed! For obvious reasons, the regime doesn't promote the U-6 rate which is currently 15.9% (GWBush=~7.4-8.5%)! The U-3 rate is determined by the number of those actively looking for work in the last four weeks. My statisticians have determined that to be reselected-to-be-reelected, the unemployment rate must be below 8.0% (With the exception of FDR, NO president has been reelected with a rate higher than 8.0%!). If this junta can't get a reduction by the actual numbers of unemployed; we massage the rate by fiddling with the 'number of jobs available'!! The American public can rest assured that the economy and unemployment rate will improve by August/September of 2012-the height of the campaign season (hum-m-m-m-m-m?!)!!
George Soros insisted that Jeb Bush accompany me to this Miami blather opportunity for two reasons. The first being that Jeb is considered a front-runner in the '12 elections, seemingly awaiting the appropriate enticement; the second is that we see him as swinging toward the fascist line, much like his father and brother- George H.W., and George W. For these reasons, we need to lure the public perception of Jeb away from the republicRAT/conservative, and toward the liberal/fascist. If we can do that, Jeb ain't got a "snowball's chance..." of winning in '12!!
See how I'm still blathering on about those "taxcuts-that-weren't"?!? Soros insists that I do it; If I blather on enough, it will soon become truth, as in the "Slick-Willie" era! The tax question was entirely based on extending the 'Bush Era tax rates.' The republicRATs--adhering to their 'Tea Party' mandate--"handed-me-my-ass" during those negotiations; I got nothing I wanted!!]
Just as both parties cooperated on tax relief that is now fueling job growth, we need to come together around a budget that cuts spending without slowing our economic momentum. We need a government that lives within its means without sacrificing job-creating investments in education, innovation, and infrastructure. The budget I sent to Congress makes these investments, but it also includes a 5-year spending freeze, and it will reduce our deficits by $1 trillion over the next decade. In fact, the cuts I’ve proposed would bring annual domestic spending to its lowest share of the economy under any president in more than 50 years. Over the last few weeks, Members of Congress have been debating their own proposals. And I was pleased that Democrats and Republicans in Congress came together a few days ago and passed a plan to cut spending and keep the government running for two more weeks. Still, we can’t do business two weeks at a time. It’s not responsible, and it threatens the progress our economy has been making. We’ve got to keep that momentum going. We need to come together, Democrats and Republicans, around a long-term budget that sacrifices wasteful spending without sacrificing the job-creating investments in our future. My administration has already put forward specific cuts that meet congressional Republicans halfway. And I’m prepared to do more. But we’ll only finish the job together – by sitting at the same table, working out our differences, and finding common ground. That’s why I’ve asked Vice President Biden and members of my Administration to meet with leaders of Congress going forward.
[What I'm not telling you: Starting in 2011 going forward, the word "investment" --in government-speak--will equate to "increased, unnecessary federal spending!" Notice how I cite education, innovation and infrastructure...?!? Each one of those areas is either heavily or completely dominated by public or private labor unions. There is no other faction I'm as completely indebted to than labor unions of every stripe!!
As I've mentioned many times before; I raised federal spending to astronomical levels in my first two years of rule-to freeze them at these highly elevated levels will have the net effect of zero-point-crap!! Were I Speaker Boehner, my 'strike price' would be a freeze at 2006 spending levels, which would have a very positive effect on the federal budget and the economy as a whole. The republicRATs could then crow about the veto Soros would require me to exercise!! If they don't demand the 2006 spending level, a huge propaganda opportunity will be missed; either during negotiations or at the point of the veto. While I pretend to have met the republicRATs half-way; I'll never agree to the $60++Billion in spending cuts they're proposing for the remainder of the federal fiscal year!
Having "Plug" biden in charge of anything is tantamount to automatic failure but Soros says 'Give him something to do,' so we have!]
Getting our fiscal house in order can’t just be something we use as cover to do away with things we dislike politically. And it can’t just be about how much we cut. It’s got to be about how we cut and how we invest. We’ve got to be smart about it. Because if we cut back on the kids I’ve met here and their education, for example, we’d be risking the future of an entire generation of Americans. And there’s nothing responsible about that. We’ve got to come together to put America back on a fiscally sustainable course – and make sure that when it comes to the economy of the 21st century, our children and our country are better-prepared than anyone else in the world to take it on. Our future depends on it. That’s not a Democratic or a Republican challenge – that’s an American challenge. And I’m confident it’s one we’ll meet.
[What I'm not telling you: What a load'a crap that is; that "..we'd be risking the future of an entire generation of Americans.." Hell, I've already thrown away the future of this generation of kids and their children, with my reckless spending programs-programs that had little positive affect on the economy, on the American quality of life! There can not be 'a fiscally sustainable course' until the republicRATs have sole control of federal spending!! I have made it blatantly obvious that fascists only want to break the bank, without regard to the consequences to those who fund the spending-the American taxpayer!!]
