Hello, everyone. I want to spend a couple minutes talking with you about our economy. We’ve just come through the worst recession since the Great Depression, and while our economy as a whole has been growing and adding private sector jobs, too many folks are still struggling to get back on their feet. I wish I could tell you there was a quick fix to our economic problems. But the truth is, we didn’t get into this mess overnight, and we won’t get out of it overnight. It’s going to take time.  The good news is, when it comes to job-creation and economic growth, there are certain things we know we can do. Now, government is not – and should not be – the main engine of job-creation in this country. That’s the role of the private sector. But one thing government can do is partner with the private sector to make sure that every worker has the necessary skills for the jobs they’re applying for.  On Wednesday, I announced commitments by the private sector, colleges, and the National Association of Manufacturers that will make it possible for 500,000 community college students to get a manufacturing credential that has the industry’s stamp of approval. If you’re a company that’s hiring, you’ll know that anyone who has this degree has the skills you’re looking for. If you’re a student considering community college, you’ll know that your diploma will give you a leg up in the job market.
[What I'm not telling you:  Much like the second President Roosevelt (FDR), everything Soros, Jarrett and I have either proposed or accomplished has or will exacerbate(d) America's current economic kerfuffle!  The Soros/Jarrett/owe-bama (SJo) regime  faces a far more serious problem than did FDR, in that we can't count on a World War III to pull us out of this socio-fascist caused depression we're entering into!  The SJo regime has followed--almost step-by-step--our own version of Stalin into added 'alphabets' of beaucracies, the 'shadow cabinet' of czars, federal take-overs of industries, federal control over other segments of the economy, et al.  Hell, we even started a war in Lybia to divert the American attention away from jobs and the economy!!  Isn't it funny though, that I should make the statement "....government is not--and should not be--the main engine of job creation...."  when that is just what's transpired.  My The SJo regime has created in the neighborhood of 200,000 jobs in the government sector--a sector that produces NOTHING of value.  An added benefit to the regime is the pay rates:  a federal worker earns approximately 160% of private sector pay.  This translates into more and more purchased votes for my SJo's "Tour d'Lies!!" re-election efforts.  (Right about here, I'm bettin' Soros and Jarrett are wishing that "Plug" biden didn't make that '500,000 jobs created-per-month' promise!!)
We of the regime are continuing to push the myth that a college education is the key to economic and personal success in the workforce; another of my famous blatant lies!!  When personal indebtedness for education is factored in, the trade-school graduate has a far better chance at success in both categories.  The trade-school student can be educated and trained enough after just one or two semesters to have parttime work in his or her chosen trade while continuing his or her education.]
On Monday, I’ll travel to North Carolina, where I’ll meet with my Jobs Council and talk about additional steps we can take to spur private sector hiring in the short-term and ensure our workers have the skills and training they need in this economy.  There are also a few other things we know will help grow our economy, and give people good jobs that support a middle-class lifestyle. We know that a quality education is a prerequisite for success, so we’re challenging states and school districts to improve teaching and learning, and making it a national goal to once again have the highest proportion of college graduates in the world by 2020.  We know that more and more jobs are being created in the clean energy sector, so we’re investing in wind power, solar power, and biofuels that will make us less dependent on foreign oil and clean up our planet for our children. These are steps we know will make a difference in people’s lives – not just twenty years from now, or ten years from now, but now, and in the months to come.  In the end, the folks I hear from in letters or meet when I travel across the country – they aren’t asking for much. They’re just looking for a job that covers their bills. They’re just looking for a little financial security. They want to know that if they work hard and live within their means, everything will be all right. They’ll be able to get ahead, and give their kids a better life. That’s the dream each of us has for ourselves and our families. And so long as I have the privilege of serving as President, I’ll keep fighting to put that dream within reach for all Americans.
[What I'm not telling you:  I know I'm 'beating-you-over-the-head' with this; I just love saying it:  You American taxpayers--of every stripe--are continuing to finance my the regime's "Tour d'Lies" at the tune of $181,000 per travel-hour!!  Not only that; you provide at least four additional aircraft for vehicle and pamphleteer transportation.  Ain't bein' an American figurehead-ruler, great--all the perqs, none of the responsibilities!  Actually--other than my ongoing search for the 'perfect golf course'--the more sensible travel plan would be for the boobs on this Jobs Council to meet at barackingham Palace.
As usual, the reader must substitute the phrase 'deficit spending' for my the SJo regime's words 'invest' or 'investing.'  I am getting a bit curious though:  how long can I get away with all these ficticious references to the various forms of clean energy and their benefits?  The federal government through the SJo regime, continues to subsidize--to the tune of many billions of dollars--practically every facet of the 'clean' energy realm; be it growing, processing, storing of the grains involved; the manufacturing, storage and transportation of the finished products.  To say nothing of the $7,500 bribe we've instituted to persuade Americans to by electric or hybrid vehicles.  These plug-in vehicles do little more than transfer the energy source from one fossil fuel to another (gasoline to coal or natural gas).  We've even cajoled NASCAR into promoting the use of 15% ethanol in their racecars!   With the unacceptable exception of clean coal, there's no facet of any 'clean' energy that's self-sustainable in it's current form.   Two of the foremost disadvantages of ethanol, currently:  it's far more destructive to the internal combustion engine than is gasoline;  it's far more polluting than is gasoline--both of which, the 'treehuggers' don't want to be common knowledge!  As my 'non socio-facist side' continues to promote--albeit, only on this blog--the single best change the SJo regime could make is tax-rate cuts:  the corporate tax rate to zero; the personal tax rate range from it's current levels to 0 through18% the get-the-hell-out'ta-the-way and watch the stampede of revenue into the Treasury!!  We--as a regime--will never do that; where's the control in letting the American taxpayer keep more of his or her own money?!? in the American taxpayer making his or her own decisions on where that money is spent?!?]
