Toledo, Ohio
(NOT barackingham Palace,
District of Corruption)
Hello, everyone. I’m speaking to you today from a Chrysler plant in Toledo, Ohio, where I just met with workers, including Jill. Jill was born and raised here. Her mother and step-father retired from this plant. And she met her husband here, and now they have two children of their own. This plant has not only been central to the economy of this town. It’s been a part of the lifeblood of this community. The reason I came to Toledo was to congratulate Jill and her co-workers on the turnaround they helped bring about at Chrysler and throughout the auto industry. Today, each of the Big Three automakers – Chrysler, GM, and Ford – is turning a profit for the first time since 2004. Chrysler has repaid every dime and more of what it owes American taxpayers for their support during my presidency – and it repaid that money six years ahead of schedule. And this week, we reached a deal to sell our remaining stake. That means soon, Chrysler will be 100% in private hands.
[What I'm not telling you: Again, this is a "Tour d'Lies" campaign blather opportunity, and as such, can not be recorded or transmitted from federal property, which is why I'm not at the "barackingham Palace!!" And again, I'd be remiss if I didn't thank the opposition majority for funding the "Tour d'Lies" transportation expenses through their payments to the U.S. Treasury: Thank you, America!! Thank you, Tea Partiers!!
As usual, the only location I can draw a compliant crowd is where the labor unions concentrate, among the few is the labor intensive auto industry. Soros and Jarrett decided that this Toledo, Ohio, auto plant would be a good backdrop for this week's campaign and blather opportunity. Again--as usual--the SJo regime trotted out a representative of my shrinking voter base; Jill, a loyal auto-union worker. These opportunities are supposed to be all-about-ME; I detest anyone--anyone at all--taking the spotlight away!!
Ford Motor Company is the only auto manufacturer we couldn't forced to take the PORKulus funds; they were smart enough to see the destruction the SJo regime was formulating and wanted no part of it. They were--in no sense--as poorly managed; operating under an unworkable business plan, as were GM and Chrysler. If--as I spouted--Chrysler repaid 'every dime' of PORKulus money, why does the Congressional Budget Office estimate that the American taxpayer lost over one-billion dollars on the Chrysler deal, alone?!? SJo's Treasury Secretary--the much maligned~and rightly so~"TurboTax-Tim" Geithner--is now finalizing a deal that will indeed, put Chrysler back into investors' hands, albeit foreign hands! Fiat SpA--an Italian auto 'holding company'--will own 52% of Chrysler's common and preferred stock! Look for the Chrysler holdings in the United States to be moved to more 'tax-favorable' climes!!]
Most importantly, all three American automakers are now adding shifts and creating jobs at the strongest rate since the 1990s. Chrysler has added a second shift at the Jefferson North plant in Detroit that I visited last year. GM is adding a third shift at its Hamtramck plant for the first time ever. And GM plans to hire back all of the workers they had to lay off during the recession. That’s remarkable when you think about where we were just a couple of years ago. When I took office, we were facing the worst recession since the Great Depression – a recession that hit our auto industry particularly hard. In the year before I was President, this industry lost more than 400,000 jobs, and two great American companies, Chrysler and GM, stood on the brink of collapse. Now, we had a few options. We could have done what a lot of folks in Washington thought we should do – nothing. But that would have made a bad recession worse and put a million people out of work. I refused to let that happen. So, I said, if GM and Chrysler were willing to take the difficult steps of restructuring and making themselves more competitive, the American people would stand by them – and we did. But we decided to do more than rescue this industry from a crisis. We decided to help it retool for a new age, and that’s what we’re doing all across the country – we’re making sure America can out-build, out-innovate, and out-compete the rest of the world. That’s how we’ll build an economy where you can see your incomes and savings rise again, send your kids to college, and retire with dignity, security, and respect. That’s how we’ll make sure we keep that fundamental American promise – that if you work hard and act responsibly, you’ll be able to pass on a better life to your kids and grandkids.
[What I'm not telling you: That "When I took office...." thingie; the recession I inherited from President Bush-43, was in place before my first executive position was purchased for me. It made the Soros/Jarrett/owe-bama regime's fantasies easlier to bring to fruition. We could move on to the second step: initiation of fiscal policies which would continue down the slippery-slope into a full-blown depression. Hopefully the transition would be slow enough so as to not cause a vast public outcry; slow enough so as to not drive other socio-fascists away from the conclave.
As much as I'd like to blame President Bush-43, the real reasons for the aforementioned loss of 400,000 auto-union jobs; jobs necessary for the owe-bamacRATs to remain in, or achieve power positions; I can't, international matters of finance came into play as well as poor management, a poor business plan, poor assemly issues and poor engineering. The socio-fascists--once the PORKulus bill was in place--didn't need the workers as voters so much as we needed them as dues-payers!! Union thugs--of the Richard Trumka ilk--'invested' millions and millions of dues' dollars into the SJo regime, albeit not necessarily legally. We then gave millions in PORKulus funds to the same union thugs, which they inturn, 'reinvested' with the SJo regime! How 'bout that for a cleaver "money-laundering scheme, huh?!?"
All those financial and investment items I mentioned?!? Better use them soon, before the 'Consumer Financial Protection Bureau' is up and running!! Once that happens, the 'bureau' will have control over all Americans' personal financial, earnings, spending, credit and investment areas of American life. We'll tell you how much you can earn; how much you can spend; where you can spend; on what you can spend; where you can invest; what you can invest in ; how much you can invest; if you can get credit; where you can get credit; how much credit you can have; and on-and-on-and-on....!!]
Now, we’ve got a ways to go. Even though our economy has created more than two million private sector jobs over the past 15 months and continues to grow, we’re facing some tough headwinds. Lately, it’s high gas prices, the earthquake in Japan, and unease about the European fiscal situation. That will happen from time to time. There will be bumps on the road to recovery. We know that. But we also know what’s happened here, at this Chrysler plant. We know that hardworking Americans like Jill helped turn this company and this industry around. That’s the American story. We’re a people who don’t give up – who do big things, who shape our own destiny. And I’m absolutely confident that if we hold on to that spirit, our best days are still ahead of us.
[What I'm not telling you: The vast majority--probably more than 95%--of those jobs created are federal government jobs; not only that, the vast majority of all government workers are paid approximately 160% of private work-force wages! That's one-hell'uva pay hike for 'sit-on-your-dead-ass' jobs, wuddn'ya think?!? Federal job creation has the directly-opposite effect of private job creation: Federal jobs increase federal spending, increase deficit spending, create nothing of value, create nothing that's consumable; whereas privately created jobs, the wage earner pays taxes on their income.... and.... they actually produce a product or service to be consumed by the public!! A bi-product of federal job creation? They are--or better be--owe-bamacRAT voters, supporters!! I--"Clown Prince" owe-bama--(at the direction of George Soros and Valarie Jarrett) an shaping the American destiny; and it ain't a pretty sight!! Remember those photos that surfaced after the Stalin Revolution?!? Multiply that devastation; that misery, by several times-that will be the America today's babies have been born into!!!]
