What the National Pamphleteers don't Report:
#OpenOurWH trends on Twitter after Fox hosts offer to pay the tab
by Michal Conger,
March 8, 2013
The Obama administration’s announcement that the White House is closed to tours because of sequestration has upset more than a disappointed class of sixth graders. Tweeting Americans everywhere are demanding the White House be opened again, after Fox anchor Eric Bolling said last night he would pick up the tab for tours.
Bolling wrote on Facebook, “Mr. President, I will pick up the tab if you reopen White House for tours. Shouldn’t the people’s house be open?”
After Bolling’s announcement, #OpenOurWH began trending on Twitter as people tweeted appreciation to Bolling and called on the Obama administration to respond.
Sean Hannity chimed in, saying he would also pay for a week of tours. The Secret Service estimates the cost of the tours at $74,000 per week.
Pretty soon, other people began offering to chip in.
“#openourwh @ericbolling open our house open the people’s house!!! I will contribute!” tweeted one.
“@ericbolling I’ve got $50 for ya! #OpenOurWH” wrote another.
So far, there doesn’t appear to be a response from the White House, even though Bolling and others included White House Press Secretary Jay Carney [....]

'Red State' Says Missouri Republicans Caving on obamaKare
by "BungalowBill,"
March 4, 2013
This was predictable. In a few years when the Democrats want more control over the healthcare system, the Republicans will go kicking and screaming claiming "we must save Obamacare". All around the country, the Republicans are caving against the will of the people and their Constitutional rights as the promise of federal dollars to pour into the states coffers has Republicans caving in and [....]

Russsia Moves to Label US Plutocracy,
Warns of War
Staff Report,
March 4, 2013
A stunning report prepared for President Putin by Deputy Foreign Minister Gennadiy Gatilov circulating in the Kremlin today states that “for all practical purposes” the United States has become a “plutocracy” and should no longer be registered, or referred to, by the Russian government as an “open and free democracy.”
Even worse, Minister Gatilov further recommends in his report that the plans put forth by General Colonel Leonid Ivashov, who warned this past week that “America must be kept at gunpoint,” should be “immediately implemented” as war with the United States should be expected to occur no later than 2014.
General Colonel Ivashov (Ret.), who is currently a professor at the prestigious International Academy of Geopolitical Problems (IAGP), warned that the planetary forecast is catastrophic and that Russian tactical nuclear weapons constantly threatening the United States must become the factor that will deter large-scale aggression from this rogue regime.
Important to note is that in 2010, Konstantin Sivkov, former Vice President of the IAGP, had warned that “World War III will start 100 years after WWI (2014) and will take lives of hundreds of millions people worldwide”.
In his gloomy assessment, Sivkov forecasts that World War III will be of “coalitional nature”. Countries will form coalitions based on their loyalty to one of the two “models of world order”. The first model is “the world of civilized hierarchies” where a select few “brutally exploit the rest of humanity”. The second model defined by Sivkov is “civilized mutual support or civilized harmony”. [....]

Friday's one-count indictment charges 32-year-old Felisha Monet Mitchell of Palm Springs with threatening the president, a charge punishable by a maximum of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
"@BarackObama my grass roots don't speak, we will kill you."
"I will be happy when I'm president and Obama is dead this year"
"Whoever kills him is getting a monetary award not jail time cause America surrenders duh. That's the risk"

Economic Mobility
by Dr Thomas Sowell,
March 4, 2013
Most people are not even surprised any more when they hear about someone who came here from Korea or Vietnam with very little money, and very little knowledge of English, who nevertheless persevered and rose in American society. Nor are we surprised when their children excel in school and go on to professional careers.
Yet, in utter disregard of such plain facts, so-called "social scientists" do studies which conclude that America is no longer a land of opportunity, and that upward mobility is a "myth." Even when these studies have lots of numbers in tables and equations that mimic the appearance of science, too often their conclusions depend on wholly arbitrary assumptions.
Even people regarded as serious academic scholars often measure social mobility by how many people from families in the lower part of the income distribution end up in higher income brackets. But social mobility — the opportunity to move up — cannot be measured solely by how much movement takes place.
Opportunity is just one [....]

Diminished Trust and Woodward's Woes
by Austin Hill,
March 3, 2013
It’s difficult to imagine that he was surprised by the outcome.
But the White House response that ensued after Author and Journalist Bob Woodward dared to question and criticize the President should be an eye-opener to the world. And the fact that America’s beltway media culture has essentially “sided” with the President and seems quite comfortable with the White House hostility is a very telling sign.
Consider the relationship between the presidency and the press over the course of American history. Believe it or not, the White House has been home to lots of outlandish and at times illegal behavior over the past two hundred years or so, much of which was known to White House reporters at the time but was never reported.
I wouldn’t have believed this, necessarily, until I began [....]

5 Things Gun Grabbers Apparently Don't Understand
by John Hawkins,
March 5, 2013
"I’m not a gun owner and, as I think as is the case for the more than half the people in the country who also aren’t gun owners, that means that for me guns are alien. In the current rhetorical climate people seem not to want to say: I think guns are kind of scary and don’t want to be around them." -- Josh Marshall
"A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity." -- Sigmund Freud
Sorry, but your Second Amendment rights no longer apply because liberals like Josh Marshall tinkle on themselves every time they come within fifty feet of a gun. This is really what the debate on gun control in America comes down to in the end: people who lose nothing if guns are banned because they don’t use them demanding that everyone else be disarmed. Meanwhile, trying to reason with gun control advocates is like arguing with a four year old about whether her imaginary friend is real or not. It doesn't matter how clearly you prove your case; she'll be pouring her pal tea two minutes after you've left the room. Speaking of imaginary…[....]

Pre-Selling the Coup[obama: 'coop']: obama Again Says America would be a Better Place if he were DICTATOR!
by Pat Dollard,
March 5, 2013
Obama has repeatedly made reference to what he can’t accomplish, to how he can’t make the world a better place, because he’s not a dictator. More so lately. In addition to revealing to us that the thought of being a dictator is often on his mind, these statements are intended to leave Americans with the following implication: “America would be better off if I was dictator.” He says, quite clearly, that because he’s not dictator, he can’t make others “do the right thing” for America, which means that if he were dictator, the right thing would be done, and America would be a better place. His point is quite obvious. “If only I were dictator, the world would be a better place because the right things would finally be done.” That is 100% what he is saying. Why would he say this, why would he make this point, and repeatedly, especially of late? Obviously he’s pre-selling a move he at least hopes, and probably intends to make. How big of a move? Well, that depends on how big the things are that he wants to get done.
(CNN) - Asked Friday by CNN Chief White House Correspondent Jessica Yellin why President Obama can’t simply refuse to let congressional leaders leave a room until they reach a deficit-reduction agreement, the president said he can’t “force Congress to do the right thing.”
“Jessica, I am not a dictator, I’m the president,” he said while [....]

Feds' $205B deficit in February dwarfs
$85B in sequester cuts
by Stephen Dinan,
March 7, 2013
The federal government posted a $205 billion deficit in the month of February, according to an early estimate by the Congressional Budget Office.
That one-month figure is well more than twice the $85 billion in automatic spending cuts that Congress and President Obama are arguing over — a calculation that underscores how deep the federal deficit problem is.
Still, the $205 billion deficit does mark an improvement compared to 2012, when the government notched a $232 billion deficit in February.
CBO said the increase [....]
