This'n'That;February 2nd[Cop;Fitzgerald;vp]

Wounded Policeman Update The wounded Rochester City Policeman is still in very serious condition having suffered a gunshot wound to the back of the head last Saturday afternoon. Chief David Moore has characterized the young man's condition as "he's fighting for his life!!" It has been alleged by Mayor Robert Duffy [fmr Rochester Chief of Police] that a 14 year old pulled the trigger. Again allegedly, the shot came from a neighboring home, "at some distance," AFTER the situation had been neutralized and the officer was returning to his patrol car. During a radio interview, Mayor Duffy characterized this travesty as a brutally cold, calculated assassination attempt. Later this morning local radio reported that the injured policeman was able to respond to voice commands, move his fingers and squeeze others' fingers. Anybody wanna move to Rochester?? The "Big-Game" Bowl If ya didn't see it, the Big-Game Bowl had a "barn-burner" fourth quarter!! The part I appreciated most was Larry Fitzgerald Jr's touchdown reception.....and it's aftermath. I wanted the Cardinals to be successful. I wanted Larry Fitzgerald's on-field conduct to be rewarded. This young man, and I ain't seen tattoo one on his body, personifies grace and professionalism under pressure!! There's no "playing to the camera," no outlandish celebratory antics to draw camera attention. No matter the play, at it's conclusion Larry celebrates by tossing the ball to the nearest official and "gets back down to business." Larry's dad, "Big" Larry or Larry Senior, surely seems to have raised his kids right. Mister Fitzgerald-the elder, is a sportswriter for Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder. As he says during a recent interview: “We did everything together,” he said. “Anywhere I went, I took my boys (including another son). Anywhere my wife went, she took the boys. Anywhere we went, we went together as a family. We were in church every Sunday. There were some mornings when the boys didn’t want to go, but we made them go.” [Interviewer: ]Hmm. That’s not unusual. There must be more. “Well, we just told them that anything is possible in America,” Big Larry said. “My wife and I told them that if they would listen to us, follow our rules and stay out of trouble, we would support whatever dream they had. No matter what.”......[ www.larry-fitzgerald.com ]......[ www.spokesman-recorder.com ]. Daschle: More Crooked "By-The-Minute!" Not only did Tom Daschle not pay $140,000 in income taxes; this guy who's the nominee to run Health and Human Services-DIDN'T KNOW he was responsible for the $6,000 in Medicaid Taxes for his driver. HHS supervises the Medicare-Medicaid system!! ..... and he's the "best person to reform health care in this country"......... I don't really believe that-it came from ScarryHarry Reid's office; If he can't effectively screw the IRS, howta Hell can he effectively screw the American Taxpayer with health care reform.....?? Tighter'n A Bull's Ass vice president joe biden and his wife gave an average of $369 a year to charity during the past decade, his tax records show. The bidens reported earning $319,853 last year, including $71,000 in royalties for his memoir, Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics. The bidens reported giving $995 in charitable donations last year — about 0.3% of their income and the highest amount in the past decade. The low was $120 in 1999, about 0.1% of yearly income. Over the decade, the bidens reported a total of $3,690 in charitable donations, or 0.2% of their income. Hell's Bells!! You and I have about the same annual average of charitable giving... BUT, I do it on about 5%, yup-FIVE PERCENT-of your income!! SIDE BAR: Hey biden, during the "campaign-of-fluff" you were quoted as saying "It's patriotic to pay taxes." If this is true, two questions come to mind: Why taHail didja hire such UN-patriotic individuals as those two crooks-Geithner and Daschle? When can we expect the crooked Senator Dodd and the crooked Rep Charlie Rangel and several others of their ilk to come on board? Til Nex'Time......
