This'n'That;October 21st[Preditors;chairman;Czars;Paterson;FluffyPrize]

All This And NO "K-Y" Lube!! First Premier Bank of Souix Falls, SD., is offering a "Premier Card" credit card with a 79.9% APR.Yes, 79.9%.
79.9% is one HELL of an incentive to pay your balance in full each month.
You would be better off paying for stuff with buttons, shiny rocks and berries than using a First Premier Card.

It's not just the interest rate that's insidious; the fees aren't so hot either. The fees include:

  • $29 Account Setup Fee
  • $95 Program Fee
  • $48 Annual Fee
    • $7 Monthly Servicing Fee ($84 a year)
    • $20 Additional Card Fee
As American Banking News says, "Credit card interest rates are regulated on a state-by-state basis, and South Dakota removed the ceiling on the interest rates that credit card companies can charge in hopes of attracting national banks to the state. All I can say is that if you've received an offer for this card from First Premier, rip it up. Please rip up this rip-off.
Predatory lending firms are called that for a reason, and this product preys on the last people who should be getting a credit card with a 79.9% APR.
Fascist Or Communist? Is it just me, or is Fluffy in a quandry~Whether to have fascists or communists as his advisors, or in his unconstitutional czarist hierarchy?? Again, I don't know about you but I have a heluva time telling the difference!! Who's worse: Hitler, or Chairman Mao, or Mussolini, or Castro, or Hugo Chavez, or Fluffy obama?? Now he's picked Ron Bloom as his manufacturing czar. Bloom is the latest Fluffy choice who's having a "kiss-on-the-lips" love affair with Chairman Mao.
    • You remember the chairman, don'cha?? Mao Tse-tung, who for decades held absolute power over the lives of one-quarter of the world's population, was responsible for well over 70 million deaths in peacetime, more than any other twentieth century leader. The popular claim is that he was willing for half of China to die to achieve military-nuclear superpowerdom.
    Bloom has also mocked capitalism, "We know that the free market is nonsense." This is the kinda guy we want trying to create jobs in the manufacturing sector. Speaking Of Czars.... [I found this on Glenn Beck's website, http://www.glennbeck.com/ ] Note the czars that we "can't live without" and the money we'd save if they were "out lookin' for work!!" Fluffy is the sole determining factor on the issue of czar wages! He circumvents the constitution by designating his minions as czars and czarinas. They don't have to be confirmed by the Senate. {How many Senators have protested this policy? Yup~You got it!! NONE}

"Double-Dealin' Dave" In Trouble.... The Siena Research Institute of Siena College [Loudinville, NY] frequently runs polls to guage public opinion on all manner of things. In late July, they ran a poll on how New York residents and voters felt about "DoubleDealin' Dave" Paterson, the state senate, state assembly and individual members of each:
    • A majority of voters believe Governor David Paterson acted appropriately in appointing a Lieutenant Governor, although they do not have the same level of support for Richard Ravitch as the Governor does.
    • By a 78-11 percent margin, voters say the Senate fight will make it harder to pass important legislation this year. Voters do not believe, by a 36-55 percent margin, that the Senate fight will lead to significant reforms to the way the Senate conducts business.
    • 71 percent of voters say the last month [June into July] has made them even less confident in state government to solve the problems facing New York.
    • The Assembly‟s favorability rating (31-56 percent) is not great, however, it‟s not nearly as bad as the Senate, with three-quarters of voters having an unfavorable view (20-74 percent)
    • a plurality have unfavorable views of Senators Malcolm Smith, Dean Skelos and John Sampson. However, most voters in the state have an opinion about Senator Pedro Espada – and by a better than four-to-one margin it‟s an unfavorable opinion. Additionally, 21 percent of voters, a plurality, think Sen. Espada is most to blame for the Senate fight, followed by Senate Republicans (18 percent), Senate Democrats (15 percent) and Governor Paterson (12 percent),"
    • Paterson continues to badly trail Attorney General Andrew Cuomo in a potential Democratic primary and Rudy Giuliani in a general election, but is virtually tied with little known former Rep Rick Lazio.
    • Cuomo leads Paterson 65-23 percent (69-16 percent in June).
    • Giuliani leads Paterson 57-34 percent (57-27 percent last month) and trails Cuomo 49-44 percent (49-40 percent in June).
    • Lazio trails Paterson 41-39 percent and is behind Cuomo 65-20 percent. He trails Giuliani in a Republican primary 75-14 percent.
He Won On Two; Count'em: TWO.... Votes!! According to a report from the Agence France Press agency this week Fluffy obama did not win the confidence of a majority of the five member panel before being awarded the Nobel Committee's Peace Prize late last week. The committee's secretary told the press on Friday that the decision had been unanimous, it now seems the members have a different recollection of how the decision unfolded. The representatives of the Norwegian Conservative, Progress, and Socialist Left parties all objected to the Obama nomination. The two votes of support on the committee came from the nation's Labor Party. The primary concerns of the objecting parties were obama's lack of experience on issues related to the objectives of the prize, as well as his "inability to keep his promise." president obama's inability to keep his promises will be one of the key reasons his administration will fail!!
    • Presently the president faces opposition from the left for broken promises to the radical anti-war and homosexual activist communities.
    • He faces opposition from the political right for his determination to break a "no tax increase" burdening families with health care reform, as well as cap-and-trade legislation, not to mention bailouts, stimulus, and budget concerns. He's promised a public option for the uninsured, but then told politicians it would not be required for final passage. He's promised to win the "right" war in Afghanistan but is wavering on his support for his own military adviser's request for resources. He's promised to close Gitmo but it sits open today. He's promised to create millions of jobs and not allow the unemployment rate to exceed 8%, but today it sits at higher than 15% in Detroit and is at nearly 10% nationally. He's promised to be the most transparent president in history but is conducting the final rounds of talks in the push for health care reform entirely behind closed doors. He's promised to put all legislation on the Internet for at least five days before he signs it into law but has not done this on any of the legislation he's signed in the first year of his administration.

Why the majority of the Nobel Committee thought he would keep his promises, I haven't a clue!! Just one reason why we shouldn't care what five politicians from Norway have to say about world affairs!!!

    Til Nex'Time....
