Fluffy "Handed His Ass" By Dick Cheney In an extraordinary crosstown debate carried live across the airwaves, Fluffy obama and former Vice President Dick Cheney battled Thursday over the Bush administration’s war on terror, with Cheney issuing a scathing rejection of the new president’s policies and saying obama is leaving the nation exposed to attack. Cheney accused those who call Bush interrogation practices torture – as obama has – of engaging in “contrived indignation and phony moralizing on the interrogation methods applied to a few captured terrorists.” And he urged obama to make future national security choices based not on “slogans and campaign rhetoric, but on a truthful telling of history.” obama, in turn, said President George W. Bush decimated the nation’s values and beliefs in a hastily conceived, poorly executed plan that left him a “mess” at Guantanamo Bay Prison and American’s image abroad in tatters. obama said the only responsible way to clean up problems at Gitmo is to bring some prisoners to the U.S. for trial, despite the intense resistance to that idea in Congress. “In dealing with this situation, we do not have the luxury of starting from scratch. We are cleaning up something that is – quite simply – a mess; a misguided experiment that has left in its wake a flood of legal challenges that my Administration is forced to deal with on a constant basis,” Obama said. “The problem exists because of the decision to open Guantanamo in the first place.” In his remarks, obama renewed his pledge to close the U.S. military prison in Cuba, made in an executive order issued on his second full day in office – but he did not repeat his promise to shutter the facility by January of next year. But it was Cheney who was on the attack in his speech at the American Enterprise Institute, leveling a broadside against obama at a time when some in the republicRAT party want to move forward rather than re-litigate the unpopular Bush years.
  • He portrayed obama as so concerned with his public image, at home and abroad, that he was willing to compromise in the fight against terrorism.
  • “If liberals are unhappy about some decisions, and conservatives are unhappy about other decisions, then it may seem to them that the President is on the path of sensible compromise,” Cheney said.
  • “But in the fight against terrorism, there is no middle ground, and half-measures keep you half exposed.” “You cannot keep just some nuclear-armed terrorists out of the United States, you must keep every nuclear-armed terrorist out of the United States.
  • Triangulation is a political strategy, not a national security strategy,” Cheney said. “There is never a good time to compromise when the lives and safety of the American people are in the balance." “The released memos were carefully redacted to leave out references to what our government learned through the methods in question,” the former vice president said of the declassified documents released last month.
“Other memos, laying out specific terrorist plots that were averted, apparently were not even considered for release. For reasons the administration has yet to explain, they believe the public has a right to know the method of the questions, but not the content of the answers.” "Double-Dealin' Dave" Has Me PISSED!!! • D3 and the morons have deemed that existing vehicle license plates are nolonger viable, and must be replaced at $25 per...... and wouldn'cha know it...... New York requires TWO plates per vehicle [Whadda financial bonanza!! There's 10Million registered vehicles in New York STATE].
  • D3 and the morons are proposing a 2% state tax on municipal services: On your water bill; on your trash pickup; on your recycling center permit; on your building permit; and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on!!

Whaddy got ta lose?? Hell, your lavish pension is already guaranteed by fleecing the taxpayer... so, why continue to "beat 'em up?" Patty Ritchie VS "Double-Dealin' Dave" In just one week, St. Lawrence County Clerk Patty Ritchie has lined up 3,300 on-line supporters in her fight against new license plates. The state plans to require all vehicles registered in New York to get new license plates, an obvious fund-raising ploy approved as part of the state budget."St. Lawrence County residents and motorists from as far away at Oswego County and even Brooklyn - more than 300 a day - are raising their voices to tell Albany to stop picking our pockets to pay for more wasteful spending," Ritchie said.Albany wants to require the new plates by April first, requiring 10 million vehicle owners to shell out $25 each for a new set of plates. The plan disproportionately hits rural counties like St. Lawrence, Ritchie said."Vehicles are not a luxury up here like they are in New York City," Ms. Ritchie noted. Her on-line petition, at www.NoNewPlates.com also allows readers to post their comments about the issue.
