The vast majority of Americans believe that the origins of muslim terrorism in modern America had it's birth at the Twin Towers; World Trade Center, New York City on September Eleventh, Two Thousand-One. Not True!! While there is the bombing of the Saudi Arabian "Khobar Towers" in 1996, one closer to most Americans on the timeline happened 11 months before 9/11.
U.S.S. Cole after bombing |
Speakers in the Yemeni parliament "calling for jihad against America," were broadcast on local television each night. After some delay, Yemenis produced a CCTV video from a harborside security camera, but with the crucial moment of the explosion deleted.
"If, as it now appears, this was an act of terrorism, it was a despicable and cowardly act. We will find out who was responsible and hold them accountable".
The asymmetric warfare attack was organized and directed by Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda terrorist organization. In June 2001, an al-Qaeda recruitment video featuring bin Laden boasted about the attack and encouraged similar attacks. In Afghanistan the bombing was a "great victory for bin Laden. Al-Qaeda camps ... filled with new recruits, and contributors from the Gulf States arrived ... with petrodollars."
The 9-11 Commission Report cites one source who said in February 2001, "[bin Laden] complained frequently that the United States had not yet attacked [in response to the Cole]... Bin Laden wanted the United States to attack, and if it did not he would launch something bigger. Planning for the (U.S.S. Cole) attack was discussed at the Kuala Lumpur al-Qaeda Summit which was held from January 5 to January 8, 2000. Along with other plotters, it was attended by future September 11 hijacker Khalid al-Mihdhar, who then traveled to San Diego where he established a close relationship with "9/11 imam" Anwar al-Awlaki, who was later linked to numerous plots and attacks, including the Fort Hood shootings and the "underwear bomber" of 2009 and targeted by the US as a terrorist threat.

One of the “alleged” U.S.S. Cole bombers, Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, has been in U.S. custody since 2002. But the 0bama regime just announced it is once again dropping all charges against him. Eric Holder’s Justice Department wrote in a brief:
"Clown Prince" 0bama did not call the trial off over lack of evidence. Capt. Kirk Lippold, commander of the Cole when it was bombed, said:
“no charges are either pending or contemplated with respect to al-Nashiri in the near future.” This is the second time the 0bama regime has stopped al-Nashiri’s trial, halting a Guantanamo Bay hearing shortly after the 0bama regime came to power in February 2009.
The Washington Post quoted an unnamed military man who explained why Obama quit: “It’s all politics at this point,” he said.
“I am very confident, based upon what I have heard, that there is more than sufficient evidence linking him to the attack on Cole directly.”
Bill Clinton’s response (or non-response [to the U.S.S. Cole bombing]) assured the worst terrorist attack in history would follow. In fact, Clinton had stalled the previous investigations into Islamic extremists’ attacks on America, because they undermined his foreign policy outreach to Iran (that sure paid off), and because they exposed his lie that his administration was eight years of “peace and prosperity.”
Now "Clown Prince" 0bama is following his footsteps and doing….........nothing!!!
Til Nex'Time....
