This'n'That; March Eleventh #2; Do As I Say....

....NOT As I Do!!
Remember how unglued Mark Kelly (MISTER Gabby Giffords) when his wife took a shot to the head?!?  A shot that was initiated by a real nut job.... NOT the gun itself, as MISTER Giffords-Kelly would have you believe!  For a couple of years MISTER Giffords-Kelly wanted all of us to believe that the primary fault lies with the weapon, not the human perpetrator and because of that, all guns have to be outlawed at all costs!!
Now we find that MISTER Giffords-Kelly has completed the paperwork for a federal background check as well as the various reams of paper required to make said purchases:
Mark Kelly
for an 'assault' weapon such as this, below:
as well as the ol' military standby, the 1911 Colt 45 cal:
MISTER Giffords-Kelly allegedly intends to turn in the "alleged assault weapon" to make his mis-guided point.  The final destination of the 45 cal has not been disclosed!!
Comments, anyone?

This'n'That; November Twenty-Seventh #2; GUNS!

2012 Black Friday Gun Sales.... Huge!!
Black Friday's federal background checks--required for gun sales--were 20% higher (154,873) as compared to the same day, last year (129,166).
Rick Lozier-store manager; Van Raymond Outfitters (Brewer, Maine):

"Sometimes it would take 10 minutes to get through and sometimes it was 20.  It ws pretty much all day long.  We still had a good day considering the holdups."

Adam Copp-President; Howell's Guns and Archery Center (Gray, Maine):

"We had an awful time getting through all day, and sometimes we couldn't get through.  I don't know what the problem was.  They set a record last Black Friday,so I figured it had something to do with that.  We had people waiting and some said, 'I can wait all day,' and left.  We may have lost a couple of sales, but we got everything through by Saturday morning.  It was the busiest day we've had all fall."

Greg Ebert-Salesman; Guns Galore (Killeen, Texas):
"We're just a three-person operation here.  Women are increasingly represented in daily store traffic.  Women have taken a strong interest in shooting sports, I think they see target shooting and other shooting sports as another form of relaxation."

    Whew!!  I'm kind'a thinkin':
"Ya never know what the election--or in this case, the re-immaculation--of a communist; a socialist; a fascist; a Marxist; a Stalinist; a Leninist; an Alinskyite, will bring."
Your thoughts?!?
