"Clown Prince" Weekly Blather, August 7th

A Patriotic Response To The "Clown Prince" 08/07/2010

Saturday, August 7, 2010
Washington, DC

Forty-five years ago, we made a solemn compact as a nation that senior citizens would not go without the health care they need. This is the promise we made when Medicare was born. And it’s the responsibility of each generation to keep that promise.  That’s why a report issued this week by the Trustees who oversee Medicare was such good news. According to this report, the steps we took this year to reform the health care system have put Medicare on a sounder financial footing. Reform has actually added at least a dozen years to the solvency of Medicare – the single longest extension in history – while helping to preserve Medicare for generations to come.  We’ve made Medicare more solvent by going after waste, fraud, and abuse – not by changing seniors’ guaranteed benefits. In fact, seniors are starting to see that because of health reform, their benefits are getting better all the time.        [What I'm not telling you:  Here we are in the eighteenth month of what some pundits like to call "the obama regime."  I still have great difficulty in fathoming how a charismatic personality with a pleasing voice and absolutely no substantive message can mesmerize millions of people!   During my last "Campaign of Fluff," I had legions of 20 and 30-somethings hanging on my every word; no matter that those words were hollow-absolutely no information or firm solutions to the everyday problems of Americans.  These young folks are the future of the country; thank Allah, they're not the least-bit inquisitive as to the meaning of words and phrases; ask few if any, questions of real value!
Medicare came about during the Johnson Administration, not so much to fund senior citizens' health care,  but to insure their votes in future elections.  The system's "financial footing" would have needed NO shoring up by this regime or any other if the congress could find in itself to actually put the collected taxes and fees in investments rather into the budget's general fund, to be pissed away on any whim they dream up!  With conservative investment, the funds' solvency would have been reasonably assured ad infinitum.  To admit the existence of waste, fraud and abuse is to acknowledge that these are allowed to exist.  The admission indicates that the offenders are not only in the medical community but in the government workforce at all levels.]
Seniors who fall into the “doughnut hole” – the gap in Medicare Part D drug coverage – are eligible right now for a $250 rebate to help cover the cost of their prescriptions. Now, I know for people facing drug costs far higher than that, they need more help. That’s why we negotiated a better deal with the pharmaceutical companies for seniors. So starting next year, if you fall in the doughnut hole, you’ll get a 50-percent discount on the brand-name medicine you need. And in the coming years, this law will close the doughnut hole completely once and for all.  Already, we have put insurance companies on notice that we have the authority to review and reject unreasonable rate increases for Medicare Advantage plans. And we’ve made it clear to the insurers that we won’t hesitate to use this authority to protect seniors.  Beginning next year, preventive care – including annual physicals, wellness exams, and tests like mammograms – will be free for seniors as well. That will make it easier for folks to stay healthy. But it will also mean that doctors can catch things earlier, so treatment may be less invasive and less expensive.  And as reform ramps up in the coming years, we expect seniors to save an average of $200 per year in premiums and more than $200 each year in out of pocket costs, too.
[What I'm not telling you:    To start, let's define what "the donut hole" actually is--

The Medicare donut hole is the difference of the initial coverage limit and the catastrophic coverage threshold, as described in the Medicare Part D prescription drug program administered by the federal government. After a Medicare beneficiary surpasses the prescription drug coverage limit (true out-of-pocket expenses: $750-$3,600), the Medicare beneficiary is financially responsible for the entire cost of prescription drugs until the expense reaches the catastrophic coverage threshold.

While obamaCare DOES provide for a negotiated 50% discount on brand-name drugs; these drugs can be several hundred dollars per perscription!  This negotiated discount actually favors the 'big pharma' drug makers rather than the Medicare participant-generic drugs are not covered in this discount;  we all know that the co-pay for generics can be as low as  $5-$15 per perscription.  The 'dirty-little-secret' you don't hear about is that the taxpayer pays several years' taxes PRIOR to any obamaCare benefits kicking in.  So essentially, the American consumer continues to get screwed by dealing with the federal government rather than their individual health and perscription insurance companies...... and...... we've added another layer of bureaucracy to administer this screwing!!  Like advice, ANYTHING free is usually worth exactly what one pays for it!!  How can a patient reasonably expect ANY FREE medical advice, exams, tests, etc., have even a modicum of quality in the procedure.  Granted, the vast majority of medical professionals will give their best in any procedure, but..... what if YOU get one of those who is 'dollar-minded' and gives you (or YOUR WIFE)just a minimal exam for.....say...... breast cancer??  Is that what you expect from YOUR OBAMA REGIME??  Well, get used to it!!  The primary way to cut expenses is to forgo any required level of competency or expertise.]
This is possible in part through reforms that target waste and abuse and redirect those resources to where they’re supposed to go: our seniors. We’re already on track to cut improper payments in half – including money that goes to criminals who steal taxpayer dollars by setting up insurance scams and other frauds. And we won’t stop there. Because by preventing the loss of these tax dollars, we can both address the runaway costs of Medicare and improve the quality of care seniors receive – and we can crack down on those who prey on seniors and take advantage of people.   So we are no longer accepting business as usual. We’re making tough decisions to meet the challenges of our time. And as a result, Medicare is stronger and more secure. That’s important. Because Medicare isn’t just a program. It’s a commitment to America’s seniors – that after working your whole life, you’ve earned the security of quality health care you can afford. As long as I am President, that’s a commitment this country is going to keep.
[What I'm not telling you:  The obama regime "......is on track to cut improper payments in half-......."   Well, DUH!!!!!  Why not cut 'improper payments' COMPLETELY?!?!  Right here is a clear indicator that high levels of education do not necessarily translate to high levels of intelligence!!  This regime has made commitment-after-commitment, both during the "Campaign of Fluff" and on into the early months of the regime..... remember that 'Plug' biden promised that by this time the regime would be creating 500,000 jobs, A MONTH!!  Remember that one??   We commit to anything, everything-all the time;  they're just so many words to us-you wanted to hear it so we said it!!  We usually forget what the commitment was even before we step away from the teleprompter!!]

This'n'That; August Fourth[CNN;Waters/Rangel;obamaCare]

"Clown Prince" At New Low---CNN Reports On:
A new Gallup Poll reports that the most recent obama job performance survey indicates that the "Clown Prince" is at an all-time low with just 41%!!
What did CNN report on.......??
....a Gallup Poll reported 67% of those of drinking age, admit to occasionally enjoying an 'adult beverage.'
Now, that's earth-shaking, up-to-the-moment, information!!  Apparently necessary for CNN's all 87 viewers to make their political and economic decisions!!

Ya Might Wanna Reconsider An Elected Position!
With Charlie Rangel--as one of 'the rich'--finally forced to pay his federal taxes; Maxine Waters being forced to admit her shenanigans in getting TARP money for her husband's bank, many of the ruling class are coming under regime scrutiny!!  Both are long-time members of the Congressional Black Caucus.  How many more will be 'thrown-under-the-bus' by the obama/Soros regime??  Most probably the greatest consideration in non-support, non-defense by the regime:  Both were act5ive, vocal supporters of then-Senator Hillary 'Rob-em' Clinton during the latest presidential purchase!!

First Hurdle-SUCCESSFUL!!
[As written by Rep Michele Bachmann, R-Mn]
The first hurdle on the path to a legal-process repeal of Obamacare was cleared Monday. A federal judge allowed the Commonwealth of Virginia to proceed with a challenge to the government’s requirement that individuals must buy health insurance. This decision directly bypassed a dismissal request by President Obama's Justice Department.

U.S. District Court Judge Henry Hudson’s ruling regarding the insurance mandate:
"Hudson said there was no clear legal precedent allowing the federal government to impose such a rule, even under Congress’s power to require individuals to pay taxes. However, he also conceded there was no clear precedent to the contrary.
“'Unquestionably, this regulation radically changes the landscape of health insurance coverage in America,' Hudson wrote in a 32-page decision filed Monday morning. 'Never before has the Commerce Clause … been extended this far.'

Obamacare is a vast overstep of the government’s role in its citizens’ lives as our nation’s founders never envisioned Congress enacting legislation which would require an unwilling citizen to purchase something against his or her will. But the insurance mandate isn’t the only problem with Obamacare. The bill creates a costly, bureaucratic program that we simply can't afford. In a time when the government should be demonstrating fiscal restraint and easing our debt, it instead launched a new trillion-dollar program.
“'Neither the U.S. Supreme Court nor any circuit court of appeals has squarely addressed this issue,' Hudson wrote. 'No reported case from any federal appellate court has extended the Commerce Clause or the Tax Clause to include the regulation of a person’s decision not to purchase a product, notwithstanding its effect on interstate commerce.”

The day after the House passed Obamacare, I introduced a forty-one word bill that would completely repeal this 2,000 page monstrosity. Now, to be perfectly clear, improvements must be made to our health care system, but what was signed into law is not an effective way to go about it.  Americans should carefully watch as this legal battle plays out in Virginia. Not only is your health care on the line, but so is our Constitution.

This'n'That; August Third[Immigration;Economy]

obama Proves He's Slimiest Politician On Planet!
[One has to believe that the teleprompter hasn't lied.  obama truely IS the slimiest politician to enhabit Washington, D.C., in some time; far outdoing "Slick-Willie" Clinton!!  We most likely have his obama Handler Group to thank for this 'end-around' the congressional process-much like the installation of nearly 50 czars!!  To see a photo copy of the actual memo, go to:  http://www2.nationalreview.com/memo_UCIS_072910.html ]

According to an internal U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services memo going the rounds of Capitol Hill and obtained by National Review, the agency is considering ways in which it could enact “meaningful immigration reform absent legislative action” — that is, without the consent of the American people through a vote in Congress.
Also: “In the absence of Comprehensive Immigration Reform, USCIS can extend benefits and/or protections to many individuals and groups by issuing new guidance and regulations, exercising discretion with regard to parole-in-place, deferred action and the issuance of Notices to Appear (NTA), and adopting significant process improvements.”
“This memorandum offers administrative relief options to . . . reduce the threat of removal for certain individuals present in the United States without authorization,” it reads.
In recent weeks, Sen. Chuck Grassley and others in Congress have been pressing the administration to disavow rumors that a de facto amnesty is in the works, including in a letter to Department of Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano. “Since the senators first wrote to the president more than a month ago, we have not been reassured that the plans are just rumors, and we have every reason to believe that the memo is legitimate,” a Grassley spokesman tells NR. (NR contacted DHS, but a spokesman did not have a comment on the record.)
Many of the memo’s proposals are technical and fine-grained; for example, it suggests clarifying the immigration laws for “unaccompanied minors, and for victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other criminal activities.” It also proposes extending the “grace period” H-1B visa holders have between the expiration of their visa and the date they’re expected to leave the country.
With other ideas, however, USCIS is aiming big. Perhaps the most egregious suggestion is to “Increase the Use of Deferred Action.” “Deferred action,” as the memo defines it, “is an exercise of prosecutorial discretion not to pursue removal from the U.S. of a particular individual for a specific period of time.” For example, after Hurricane Katrina, the government decided not to remove illegal immigrants who’d been affected by the disaster.
The memo claims that there are no limits to USCIS’s ability to use deferred action, but warns that using this power indiscriminately would be “controversial, not to mention expensive.” The memo suggests using deferred action to exempt “particular groups” from removal — such as the illegal-immigrant high-school graduates who would fall under the DREAM Act (a measure that has been shot down repeatedly in Congress). The memo claims that the DREAM Act would cover “an estimated 50,000” individuals, though as many as 65,000 illegal immigrants graduate high school every year in the U.S.  In the immediate wake of the court decision blocking the Arizona immigration law yesterday, the memo is sure to create controversy — and the sense that the administration is bent on preserving and extending the nation’s de facto amnesty.

UPDATE: USCIS has released a statement on the memo:
Internal draft memos do not and should not be equated with official action or policy of the Department. We will not comment on notional, pre-decisional memos. As a matter of good government, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will discuss just about every issue that comes within the purview of the immigration system. We continue to maintain that comprehensive bipartisan legislation, coupled with smart, effective enforcement, is the only solution to our nation’s immigration challenges.
Internal memoranda help us do the thinking that leads to important changes; some of them are adopted and others are rejected. Our goal is to implement policies wisely and well to strengthen all aspects of our mission. The choices we have made so far have strengthened both the enforcement and services sides of USCIS — nobody should mistake deliberation and exchange of ideas for final decisions. To be clear, DHS will not grant deferred action or humanitarian parole to the nation’s entire illegal immigrant population.

"Clown Prince" obama Ponders Correct Way To Destroy American Economy
With the end of 2010 bringing a decision on whether to extend the "Bush Tax Cuts (aka-Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act); the read decision is: does Soros--with obama as his mouthpiece--really want to finish the regime's destruction of the American economy??  To continue them would keep the status quo on a somewhat even keel; to not continue them would put America back 2002-2003 in terms of it's economy-consumer saving versus consumer spending.
During the months into the first couple of years after the Muslim attack on the World Trade Center, it looked as though America would tail-spin into a major recession.  Fear had driven the vast majority of Americans into saving their discretionary funds rather than spending them on durable and non-durable goods.  Fed Chair Alan Greenspan dropped interest rates and President Bush was able to get his tax cuts into law.  This prevented any serious recession in 2003 and actually let to huge growth rates in the stock market and the housing market.
Now, we're continuing "The Great Recession" which started in 2008.  With interest rates as close to zero as they can go; government spending above WWII levels; budget deficits and the national debts at never-before-seen levels, further tax cuts are out of the question!  The only logical solution is to extend the "Bush Tax Cuts" on a year-by-year basis until the destruction of the American economy is accomplished or thwarted.  Let be quote from the obamacRAT 'playbook:'
The Left argues that taxes wouldn't really be raised, they would just return to levels pre-2003.

Listen here, Skippy:  If you are anti-Rangel and actually pay your taxes, the lowest and highest rates today are 10 to 35%.  The rates in 2001 were 15 to 39.1%.  Notice a difference there??  If you are subject to 35% today and on January 2nd, 2011, you are subject to 39.1%, is that not higher than the 2010 rates??  Hence, the higher rates indicate a tax INCREASE--DUMBASS!!
The American public can hope for the best, but MUST PREPARE FOR THE WORST!!  The public would be wise to assume that the "Bush Tax Cuts" will be allowed to expire at the end of this year.  Do your "gazintas" and figure where and by how much, you must alter your spending; where you can tighten your belts.

This is true but during the late 90s and up until 9/11 our economy was growing by leaps and bounds. Now our economy is barely breathing and its future is uncertain.  This is where I need to take the leftist, fascist dumb-asses to school:

Look For "Clown Prince" obama To 'Push' India
[With obama nothing more than a mouthpiece for the obama Handler Group, presumably chaired by George Soros, bett'cha "dollars-to-donuts" that obama starts pushing the attributes of India.  The push will probably wait until the Soros/BSE negotations are complete.]
George Soros is closing negotiations with Dubai Holdings to buy a 4% stake in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).   Soros Fund Management is planning to pay about $40m for its stake, valuing Asia’s oldest bourse at about $1bn, said a person involved in the negotiations.   The deal is the latest in a series of strategic investments in India’s stock and derivatives exchanges, which are diversifying into new asset classes and embracing new technologies to attract so-called “high-frequency” traders.
The deal is the latest in a series of strategic investments in India’s stock and derivatives exchanges, which are diversifying into new asset classes and embracing new technologies to attract so-called “high-frequency” traders.
While the U.S. tries to clamp down on high-frequency trading, India is opening its arms to technology.

Will Gary Berntsen Use This Information?
[This shows definite benefit for Gary Berntsen, "Chuckie's" GOP opponent, to ensure that every New York State household has this knowledge!!  A clear illustration that no matter the number or severity of offenses,  "Chuckie Cheese" and The Invisible Senator will support any crooked obamacRAT, so long as they can do something for Schumer then by default, Gillibrand.]

Democratic leaders and major party donors plan to hold a lavish 80th birthday gala for Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan next month, despite 13 ethics charges pending against the veteran lawmaker.  Lobbyists and other party donors received invitations this week to join Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and New York Gov. David Paterson (D) at one of New York’s finest hotels to celebrate Rangel’s birthday.
Some guests received the invitation a day after the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct issued a report accusing Rangel of 13 ethics violations.   Some Democrats think Rangel has become politically radioactive, and the invitation lists various enticements to get people to show up to his birthday bash and contribute to his campaign.   Aretha Franklin, the “Queen of Soul,” will sing to guests, who will pay $200, $500, $1,000 or $2,500 for tickets. The money will go to the Rangel Victory Fund, a campaign account.
It remains to be seen whether the leaders of the New York Democratic Party will stay in Rangel’s corner when a growing number of Democrats in Washington are backing away from him.  Several House Democrats such as Rep. Mike Arcuri (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Betty Sutton (D-Ohio) have called on Rangel to resign. Others, such as Rep. Brad Ellsworth (D), who is running for Senate in Indiana, have returned past campaign donations from Rangel.
"Chuckie-Cheese" Schumer and (The Invisible Senator) Gillibrand are running for re-election this year but believe they're invincible, without serious opposition. So far they have not abandoned Rangel.  Schumer gave $10,000 from his leadership political action committee to Rangel’s campaign account at the end of June.
