This'n'That; November 19th[D-3;DeathPanel;ACORN;Audacity]

New York State Legislators: THIEVES!! Guvner "Double-Dealin' Dave" Paterson [or D-3, or Dave-The-Turd], keeps summoning the state's ruling class back to Albany for a special session to try and "stop the bleeding!!" They have the testicular fortitude to accept payment for their attendence!!
  • Remember: These are the same arschlocher that have been paid for each and every appearance in Albany
  • Remember: These are the same arshlocher that shut down the state government over some childish drivel.
  • Remember: These are the same arshlocher that could have taken up the budget many, many times during their regular session.
  • Remember: These are the same arshlocher that are being paid TWICE to do their jobs JUST ONCE. By accepting their pay and expense checks, they are in affect, stealing from the same state treasury they've already depleted!!
Where's "Dave-the-Turd" on this phenomonon?? Probably hiding under his desk, hoping no one'll yell at him!! I'd lock the bastards out and order the state's treasurer NOT to issue their checks!! Death Panels Now In Effect! Sarah Palin warned us they were coming, but did we listen?? N-o-O-O-o!!
The U.S. Preventive Services Task force (USPSTF), funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, published its recommendations in Annals of Internal Medicine; its decision was based on an analysis of existing trials that looked at the impact of mammography on breast-cancer deaths. The task force further recommended that women between ages 50 and 74 get screened every two years instead of annually, and that doctors no longer urge women to conduct monthly breast self-exams, since the practice does not appear to significantly reduce the risk of death from breast cancer. When this was first reported Tuesday, Bob Lonsberry--on his "Mid-day Talk Show" [weekdays, 11AM-2PM, WHAM radio, 1180AM; www.lonsberry.com ]--fielded dozens of calls on the topic. Many women reported that they'd discovered their own breast cancers between ages 40 and 50; others as young as early-to-mid thirties!! Ladies, how do you think your insurance carrier will take this news?? I'm sure they'll see it as a way to boost profits, as is normal in any for-profit business. "The government says these exams are no longer necessary at this early age, so we're not going to cover them until the insured reaches the recommended age." What a loada horseshit!! What's the value of a human life?? The "Clown Prince" seems to think--NOT MUCH!! If earlier exams prevent just one death, then the nation-wide expense of earlier mammographies are well worth the cost!! This is nothing more than a possible death sentence to those women who aren't checked at the previous standard age!!

How's that "hope-and-change" workin' for ya, now?!?!?!

An Important Story: Rep. Steve King: Bauer was hired to 'erase tracks' between Obama, ACORN By Tony Romm, The Hill

Newly appointed White House counsel Bob Bauer is "perfectly positioned to be tasked with erasing the tracks between Obama and ACORN," one Republican lawmaker charged Friday. The lawyer's hiring, announced this morning shortly after Greg Craig officially resigned the post, was also an attempt by the White House to deflect any fallout that may arise from an ACORN investigation currently underway in Louisiana, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) added in a statement. "Bob Bauer has a public record of defending barack INSANE obama's [Mm...Mm...Mm!!] relationship with ACORN, the congressman told supporters. "Bauer's hiring appears to be a tactical maneuver to strategically defend the White House exactly one week after Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell raided ACORN's national headquarters in New Orleans and seized paper records and computer hard drives that may lead to the White House." However, the link between Bauer, the president and ACORN's Louisiana office is long, winding and confusing, at best. Read the Rest of the Story:

Another Important Story:

The audacity of extremism By James Lewis, American Thinker

Audacity is supposed to be a talent in great generals -- at least some of them. That's where the phrase comes from: "L'audace, l'audace, toujours l'audace!" It's attributed to the Kaiser Friedrich der Grosse, to Georges Danton, (one of the big head-choppers of the French Revolution), and to Napoleon Bonaparte. Audacity can be effective in warfare, because surprise assaults can break through a Maginot Line. But another word for audacity is "gambling." The price you often have to pay is overreach and defeat. Napoleon's audacity led straight to an historic defeat for Imperial France in Russia. France never recovered--it's had two straight centuries of military defeats since Napoleon. His invasion of Russia also caused unimaginable suffering, just like Hitler's invasion a century later. Audacity is not necessarily a good thing. When Obama uses the phrase "The Audacity of Hope," we hope he's talking about peaceful audacity. But we can't be sure--because Obama and his inner circle are extremists in any reasonable meaning of that word, certainly by the standards of normal American politics. That's why Obama seems so foreign. That is what "radical" means; it's another word for "extremist." These folks love to preen themselves on being radical. Rules for Radicals is their Bible, and it's Obama's manual for "community organizing" -- which looks just like community destruction. Alinsky dedicated Rules for Radicals to Lucifer, because Lucifer is the symbol of destructive extremism. Don't tell me these folks are mainstream Americans. No way. Read the Rest of the Story:
