"Clown Prince" Weekly Blather; January 29th

A Patriotic Response To The "Clown Prince;" 01/29/2011
Manitowoc, Wisconsin

January 29, 2011

I’m speaking to you today from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, where I’m at an innovative company called Orion Energy Systems.  Just a few years ago, this was an empty warehouse. A major employer had shut down this factory, moved its operations abroad, and took a lot of jobs away from this town.  But today, as you can see behind me, this is a thriving enterprise once more. You are looking at a factory where 250 workers are building advanced clean energy systems – state-of-the-art technologies that use solar power and energy efficiency to save farms and businesses thousands of dollars on their utility bills.  I’m here because this business and others like it are showing us the way forward. And in the coming days, I’ll be shining a spotlight on innovators across America who are relying on new technologies to create new jobs and opportunities in new industries.
[What I'm not telling you: I chose Manitowoc to kick off the 'non-Tragic' start of the "Campaign of Fluff-Redux" simply because it's the home state of one of my major detractors, Representative Paul Ryan (R, Wi-1); the fact that there's a 'clean energy' plant here is of no consequence to me--Soros and I intend to use the EPA to 'mandate change.'  I should have the statistics for how much federal government 'bribe money' was spent on this plant.... but: 'Oops!!'  I forgot to bring the information with me!!  Just as with the potentially 'ever-lasting' $7,500 tax credit--just to make the Chevy 'Volt' marketable--I'm sure there'll eventually be either a federal tax credit or a federal mandate concerning these other 'green energy' marketing plans.  The 'savings for farms and businesses' I speak of, relate solely to energy consumption NOT energy 'costs!'  Green energy is--and will remain, into the forseeable future--NOT self-sustainable; currently NOT affordable for the serf-class!!]    That’s what companies like Orion are doing. And that’s how America will win the future – by out-innovating, out-educating, and out-building our competitors. We’ll win the future by being the best place on Earth to do business. That is what we are called to do at this moment. And in my state of the union, I talked about how we get there.  It starts by making sure that every single child can get a good education and every American can afford college or career training. Because that’s what will help light the spark in the minds of innovators – and ensure that our people have the skills to work for innovative companies.  We also need to make sure that America can move goods and information as fast as any of our competitors, whether on the road or online. Because good infrastructure helps our businesses sell their products and services faster and cheaper.  We have to reform our government and cut wasteful spending, so that we eliminate what we don’t need to pay for the investments we need to grow, like education and medical research.
[What I'm not telling you:  The United States will never be 'the best place on earth to do business' until the republicRATs force my regime to revamp America's tax code!  Currently, we are 'the worst place on earth to do business,' solely due to the federal corporate tax rates.  We have the highest corporate tax rate on the planet!!  I believe in the 'fascist code' of "Innovation-for-Dollars;'  wasting federal dollars by subsidizing those innovations.  That philosophy doesn't work-was rarely needed until Soros brought us to power!  Henry Ford:  Didn't need--nor did he desire--any federal stimulus to perfect and manufacture the Ford automobile; to create innovations related thereto.  Mr Ford even went so far as to reduce the MSRP of his products so that the folks who made 'em--could afford 'em!!  Mr Ford, well ahead of his time, created experimental vehicles using agricultural products to spur farm income!!  Not a fascist, he!!!  Another 'ahead of his time' American is Dick Rutan.  Mr Rutan with his brother Burt and Jeana Yeager developed and built the 'Model 76 Voyager.'  Dick and Ms Yeager later flew the craft on a complete, around-the-world, non-stop flight and in the process, destroyed several world distance and endurance records.  All that without a nickel in federal money!!  Not fascists, they!!  The federal PORKulus bill was 'allegedly' intended to repair and replace parts of America's infrastructure-remember the phrase "shovel-ready jobs?!?"  What a joke that turned out to be!  After Soros used most of that money to reward supporters of, and contributors to, the "Campaign of Fluff;" and after I was forced to admit there was no such thing as a 'shovel-ready job;' we now need to go back to the Congress for more money-ostensibly to repair and replace portions of 'the infrastructure.'  One of my latest 'bone-headed' ideas is high-speed rail from one non-descript location to another non-descript location!!  With Americans' love of the SUV and big sedans, after 'the fad wears off' any high-speed rail system will require federal subsidies far in excess of those that Amtrack currently enjoys!  During the most recent "State of the Union Show," practically everything Soros had me speak to demanded more federal 'spending money!!'  The size of government needs to continue to grow; the amount of federal spending needs to continue to grow-the only way to break the spirit of the few remaining optimists!!]
And as we can see here in Manitowoc, we need to ensure that we are promoting innovation – especially in promising areas like clean energy. This is going to be key to growing our economy and helping businesses create jobs. Orion, for example, was able to open with the help of small business loans and incentives that are creating demand for clean energy technologies like wind power and solar panels.  That’s why I’ve proposed a bigger tax credit for the research that companies do. And to give these companies the certainty of knowing there will be a market for what they sell, I’ve set this goal for America: by 2035, 80 percent of electricity should come from clean energy.  This is going to help spark innovation at businesses across America. This is going to spur new products and technologies. This is going to lead to good, new jobs. And that’s how we win the future – by unleashing the talent and ingenuity of American businesses and American workers in every corner of this country.  So to those who say that America’s best days are behind us, let them come here, to Manitowoc. Let them come to this once-shuttered factory that is now bustling with workers building new technologies for the world. Let them come here to see the incredible promise of our country.  This is the future. And it’s bright.
[What I'm not telling you: As has been plain all along, 'clean energy' is not, and will not be sustainable, no matter what 'pretty face ya draw on it!!'  This technology segment will be have to be subsidized well into the foreseeable future.  The better methodology of federal involvement is to cut taxes at all levels to the bare minimums and 'get the Hell out'ta the way!!'  But as George says, "Where's the federal control, in that?!?"  I say,  "Where's the growth in government, in that?!?"  That electricity source goal I mentioned?  All 'pie-in-the-sky' bullshit!!  First of all-without sustainable technology, the power isn't going to be available; second of all-if it is available, it'll be so expensive that most of America will think they're living in some 'third-world rathole!!'  Sure the future's bright.... for those of us on the federal dole!!]
