Seems that"Clown Prince" owe-bama's on-going "Campaign of Fluff-Redux" is just a mirror image of the 2006-2008 model; re-making owe-bama into something he's never been-never will be. I offer up two points of reference to buttress my position:
owe-bama's speech was delivered at 7:30PM-eastern; 4:30PM-pacific, on most of the TV networks-that in and of itself, is telling. Had the speech had any import at all, it would have been scheduled at 9:00PM-eastern; 6:00PM-pacific. It apparently wasn't for liberal left-coast consumption. The speech itself, was a compendium of fluff, half-truths and out-right lies, and just a couple of those; "....that America’s role would be limited; that we would not put ground troops into Libya...." In fact there are U.S. 'special-ops' personnel on the ground in Libya as we speak!!The essence of Admiral Stavridis' testimony in conjunction with Mrs Clinton's speech and owe-bama's blather is: America will be funding and arming al Qaeda as a part of the rebel forces in Libya, while killing al Qaeda in Afganistan.
"....when our safety is not directly threatened, but our interests and values are...." The United States has no interests in Libya-all the outside oil interests working in Libya, are European based corporations!!
This speech was purely and simply, a "Campaign of Fluff-Redux" stump speech!! Completely flowered with all the fluff one man-child could muster, it set up the owe-bama regime to take the glory from the 'three-girls-in-a-room,' should owe-bama 'luck out' and Colonel Kaddafi accepts asylum in some other third-world rathole. If the owe-bama suggested coup fails, he's distanced himself far enough to avoid the most of the fallout.
On March 29th, Mrs Clinton ('Girl #1' of 'the three-girls-in-a-room')--while speaking in London--refuted the congressional testimony of Admiral Stavridis, the NATO Supreme Allied Commander. The admiral testified in part: “…we have seen flickers in the intelligence of potential al Qaeda, Hezbollah, we’ve seen different things.”
Some foreign policy, bubba!!
Til Nex'Time....
