This'n'That; September Sixth #3; Warren

Warren Trashes obama Record
Elizabeth Warren--candidate for the 'dead-Kennedy'-Massachusetts senate seat--spent 99% of her alloted time at the DNC dais trashing "Clown Prince" obama's complete lack of positive accomplishments.  She completely failed to realize that the country--since January, 2010 (we'll give them the first year)--has been operating on The Bilderberg Group's 'American Economic Destruction' Plan.  Each time she referenced the next 'statistic' in her parade of examples of the down-trodden, she put yet another 'nail-in-the-coffin' of the obama re-immaculation effort.
You remember this 'gal,' right?!?  She's the one who went back in her family tree umpteen-generations to find some indian blood, any indian blood!!  That ancestry was based on a written reference on the back of a photo to a marriage license that no one could locate.  She then had the basis for her claim of 00.03125% Cherokee Indian blood.  The Warren-Cherokee Scam was enough to give her minority status as it related to job placement, education enrollment, tuition rates, et al.  It wouldn't be that much a stretch to say Elizabeth Warren is a felon by defrauding several government agencies by accepting reduced tuition as well as various areas of preferential treatment.  This is the same gal that made triple-digit profits on flipping underwater houses in the Oklahoma City area.  She appears to be as much the crook most socio-fascists are.
An Elizabeth Warren purchase; bought for $30k, sold for $145k in only 5 months!
But.... I digress!  Back to Elizabeth Warren's blusterful blather at the DNC.  Check out this quote from her speech transcript:
"I talked to small business owners all across Massachusetts, and not one of them, not one, made big bucks from the risky bets that brought down our economy.  I talked to nurses and programmers, salespeople and firefighters, people who bust their tails every day, and not one of them, not one, stashes their money in the Cayman Islands to avoid paying their fair share of taxes."
I'm willing to bet the balance of my IRA that 60-75% of those Americans with IRAs, with 401ks, with 403bs, have some percentage of their retirement funds invested with companies headquartered in the Cayman Islands.  Does Ms Warren not realize for the first two-years of the obama reign, that the "Clown Prince" had an obamacRATic Senate and an obamacRATic House of Representatives?!?  With his party in control, the guy should have been able to institute any beneficial--to the serf class--program he wanted.  Did he? Not no, but hell no!!  "Clown Prince" obama concentrated on the destructive $787 Billion porkulus bailout bill; obama concentrated on rewarding supporters and donors by 'investing' in bankrupt green-energy companies--does Solyndra ring a bell?--and obama--through his minions--forced the equally destructive obamaKare bill down the collective American throat, with it's twenty-two new or increased taxes.  "Clown Prince" obama bailed out 'Government Motors;' immediately screwing the bond-holders; immediately rewarding the auto union with a large percentage ownership stake in the company.  Even in the Warren mind, is this not destructive for all Americans?!?  Another Warren quote:
"He ["Clown Prince" obama] believes in a country where nobody gets a free ride or a golden parachute, a country where anyone who has a great idea and rolls of [up] their sleeves has a chance to build a business, and anyone who works hard can build some security and raise a family."
Foodstamp spending has risen 165% since 2000.  Said spending UNDER OBAMA has risen over 100% and is estimated to be $770 Billion over 10 years.
Under "Clown Prince" obama, the total length of unemployment benefits have incrementally increased to 89 weeks
That's a year-and-a-half, plus another 11 weeks!!  A year-and-a-half of being paid to sit on one's dead-ass!!  Is this or is this not, a 'free ride?!?' Most prominent economists agree:  extended benefits extend the length of each unemployment. [Related graphs, here.]
Each and every president, Senator and Representative retire with huge retirement checks as well as 'cadillac' healthcare plans that most Americans can only dream about!!  The 'Former Presidents Act' provides all kinds of unnecessary compensation and exorbitant administrative benefits-by 'American serf' standards.
Can you see by the additional facts that Elizabeth Warren did neither herself nor the "Clown Prince" any favors by pointing out his ineptness; his amateurish style of governance?!?

Don't forget!!  Check the Rush Limbaugh website for his analysis of last night's DNC blather opportunities!!

This'n'That; March Ninth #1; 'pinkie' Tickled Pink!

Senate Votes To Forsake The Unemployed
'pinky' reid, the Nevadan miscreant Senate Majority Leader, was positively giddy at the results of the "Keystone XL" pipeline vote.  After lobbying phone calls from "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, the Narcissist," the Senate owe-bamacRATics voted 56-42 to defeat fast-tracking the pipeline amendment to the Transportation bill.
The "Keystone XL" vote--if positive--would have fast-tracked the legislation.
The "Keystone XL" amendment will have transfer approval authority from the State Department to the Congress.
The "Clown Prince" wasn't too successful in lobbying his socio-fascist philosophy to several owe-bamacRATic Senators.  Apparently the reid/owe-bama stranglehold on the U.S. Senate is waning as noted by the owe-bamacRATic defectors in the "Keystone" vote:
Max Baucus-Montana;
Mark Begich-Alaska;
Kay Hagan-North Carolina;
Mary Landrieau-Louisiana;
Joe Manchin-West Virginia;
Claire McCaskell-Missouri;
Mark Pryor-Arkansas;
John Tester-Montana;
Jim Webb-Virginia;
Robert Casey-Pennsylvania, and
Kent Conrad-North Dakota.
In a parallel vote, republicRATic Senators defeated an owe-bamacRATic amendment to the "Keystone XL" legislation (Author: Ron Wyden-Oregon) that would have required the oil delivered by said pipeline stay in the United States after refining.  That vote was 34-64, against.
After narrowly buying re-election in Nevada, 'pinky' reid may very well have 'hitched his wagon' to a falling owe-bama star!!  If they both continue on the current path of ignoring the vast numbers of unemployed; the stagnant OWE-BAMACONOMY, 'pinky' reid and the "Clown Prince"--most probably--will join the very group of Americans they continually denigrate!!
Knowledgeable--oil industry--insiders have projected the "Keystone XL" pipeline project would create 15,000-25,000 short-term construction jobs and--upon completion--more than 100,000 permanent jobs.
'Splain to me again why YOU elected these Arschlochs!?!

Michigan Replicating owe-bama Failures
My workday ended early, I decided to 'weed-out' my Yahoo Favorites.  I was working on getting rid of the crap I either don't look at or look at very rarely.  I came across the 'Michigan Capitol Confidential' website:
http://www.michigancapitolconfidential.com/pubs/mcc/
After reading several articles therein published, I decided to keep the site.  The articles are a clear indication that the State of Michigan is following in "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, the Narcissist's" ever-failing 'footsteps!'  Check out some of these articles:
GOP-Dominated Senate To SEIU: 'Here's $4 Million'
By Jack Spencer

Feb. 24, 2012
Michigan's Republican-controlled Senate is reaching a milestone.
As of Feb. 24, the Senate — by its inaction to pass a bill that would end the “Home Health Care Dues Skim” — will have enriched union coffers by $4 million.  This “skim” resulted from a union scheme perpetrated while Jennifer Granholm was governor. The plan used a dummy employer and a stealth election to railroad 43,000 so-called home health care workers into the Service Employees International Union. That 43,000 has now swollen to 56,442.  Once this forced unionization was achieved, money started being extracted from the taxpayer-provided checks received by the so-called home health care workers. This money continues [....]

Subsidized Green Energy Company Struggles, Lays Off Workers —
Rewards Top Executives
by Tom Gantert,
February 23, 2012
Analyst: 'It looks like they are trying to pad their top people’s wallets in case something really bad happens'
In the nine months since David Prystash was named Chief Financial Officer of A123 Systems — the battery manufacturer that received $390.1 million in federal and state subsidies — the company has laid off 125 employees and had a net loss of $172 million through the first three quarters of 2011.  A123 Systems also learned earlier this month that the company that was to be the main purchaser of its batteries — Fisker Automotive — had its federal funding cut off for missing milestones and had to lay off its own employees. A123 Systems had invested $23 million into Fisker.  Yet, this month A123’s Compensation Committee approved a $30,000 raise for Prystash just days after Fisker Automotive announced the U.S. Energy Department had cut off what was left of its $528.7 million loan it had previously received.
Prystash wasn’t the only executive to see a big raise this month. Robert Johnson, vice president of the energy solutions group, got a 20.7 percent pay increase going from $331,250 to $400,000, while Jason Forcier, vice president of the automotive solutions group, saw his pay increase from $331,250 to $350,000. Prystash’s raise was 8.5 percent, going from $350,000 to $380,000.
The raises were reported by the company in its filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.  “It looks highly suspicious,” said Paul Chesser, associate fellow for the National Legal & Policy Center. “It looks like they are trying to pad their top people’s wallets in case something really bad happens.”
When A123 Systems announced [....]

How the Forced Unionization of Day Care and Home Health Care Providers Took Place
Anatomy of a Scam: Dues continue to flow
by Jack Spencer

February 23, 2012
Child care providers Sherry Loar, Paulette Silverson and Michelle Berry fought the forced unionization every step of the way.Editor's note: This story originally ran in January and is being republished because of repeated requests from readers wanting to know how the "dues skim" was created and put into action. Since 2007, more than $28 million has been take from Michigan home health care workers, many without their knowledge or consent. Almost $4 million has been skimmed since a bill that would end the deductions arrived in the Michigan Senate in June 2011. (The story has been updated.)
As 2012 begins, the forced unionization of 56,442 so-called home health care workers in Michigan continues.  Approximately 80 percent of those impacted by an unpublicized election six years ago probably did not know what was occurring. As a result, they were railroaded into the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).  Union dues have been extracted from the taxpayer-funded checks they've received ever since. This represents a transfer of more than $28 million from taxpayers to the coffers of the SEIU.  House Bill 4003 was designed [....]

Further Down the Rabbit Hole: Forced Unionization 'Dues Skim' Linked To West Coast Scandal
SEIU officials who led charge to unionize unsuspecting workers are now long gone
by Jack Spencer
February 22, 2012
Rickman Jackson came to Michigan directly from Los Angeles. The Service Employees International Union Local 6434 official was the protégé of an influential union boss and the guy who signed the collective bargaining agreement that made the "Home Health Care Dues Skim" in Michigan possible.  More than $28 million has been taken from home health care workers' checks since that happened, but Jackson wasn't around long to see how the union he represented continues to profit from the “skim.”
Michigan's “Home Health Care Dues Skim” has its roots in Los Angeles at Local 6434 of the SEIU.  With a membership of 155,000 home health care workers, SEIU Local 6434 was the largest union local in California in the middle of the last decade. It also appears to have been the pilot project for questionable unionizations that later took place in other states — including Michigan.  Jackson learned at the side of Andy Stern, who headed the national SEIU until 2010 and in the early months of the Barack Obama administration Stern became known as the “man who had Obama's ear.”
Stern got Jackson a post at Los Angeles Local 6434. After his apprenticeship there, Jackson was reassigned to Michigan. He became the first president of SEIU Healthcare Michigan, but resigned not long after getting that post.  Nonetheless, dues from the “skim” are still flowing to the union's coffers. House Bill 4003 would end the flow of that cash and was passed by the House last June, but Michigan's GOP-controlled Senate continues to sit on the bill.  While that happens, the SEIU is free to use the dues it collects [....]

Unemployment Rate Not as Rosy as It Appears
Fewer workers could be lowering state's rate
by Tom Gantert
February 21, 2012
The days of Michigan leading the nation in the unemployment rate appear to be in the rear view mirror.  Michigan’s unemployment rate of 9.3 percent in December ranks it 11th highest in the nation. The state's unemployment rate was 11.2 percent just four months earlier.  But a big reason for the state’s rosier outlook is a large drop in the state’s labor force, something University of Michigan economist Don Grimes calls “one of the least understood results” of the economic recovery.
Michigan’s workforce has dropped from 5.1 million in January 2006 to 4.6 million in December 2011. Michigan added 13,000 jobs in December of 2011, but the labor force decreased by 11,705 jobs.  “The labor force and employment are moving in opposite directions and that’s strange,” said James Hohman, a fiscal policy analyst with the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.
Hohman estimates that if Michigan had maintained the same number of people in the workforce as December 2007, and if all of the labor force drop-outs were instead classified as unemployed, Michigan’s unemployment rate would be at 16 percent.  Most experts are [....]

This'n'That; February Thirteenth #1; Soros; owe-bama?

Soros 'In-A-Pickle?!?'
All the billions-a-bucks George Soros has made over the years is a clear indicator that he has financial/economic savvy.  His "empire-building" savvy, not-so-much!!  How does one build an empire--so as to encompass the entire United States--with such incompetence, which can not even follow a 'play-book;' can not read accurately from a teleprompter?!?
The entire Soros/"Clown Prince ZERO-bama, the Narcissist" reign has thusfar been an exercise in incompetence, ineptitude and inexperience!  George Soros could have 'had his pick' of nearly anyone as the recipient of his political largess; why the "Clown Prince?!?"  owe-bama--as the 'throw-away' candidate of the 2007-2008 campaign season--with the Soros guidance and backing was ultra-successful, capturing 'the prize' of barackingham Palace!!  We're now subjected to the result of his life-long incompetence and inexperience coupled with gobs-and-gobs of money:  socio-fascism in the images of Benito Mussolini(Italy), Adolf Hitler (Germany) and Francisco Franco (Spain).
Benito Mussolini is considered the 'father' of fascism, long before Adolf Hitler and Francisco Franco adopted the philosophy.  When researching (socio-)fascism as it relates to both George Soros and "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, the Narcissist," one can see close parallels of the fascist vis-a-vis the owe-bamacRATic mindset.
Benito Mussolini began his period in power by buying the support of the middleclass and the industrial hierarchy.
"Clown Prince ZERO-bama" began his period in power by buying the support of welfareRATs and the industrial union hierarchy.
Any critics of Benito Mussolini were beaten and media that didn't support him were shut down.
"Clown Prince ZERO-bama" employed the use of SEIU's "Purple People Beaters" and the New Black Panther Party thugs to 'educate' non-compliant voters in Philadelphia voting precincts as well as others.  The American national pamphleteers routinely 'carry-the-water' for "Clown Prince ZERO-bama."
At the outset of Adolf Hitler's reign, he--and his thuggish SA and SS stormtroopers--ushered in the 'Enabling Act,' which essentially cast asunder the German Constitution and the resultant democractic-monarchy, allowing any and all of Hitler's barbaric programs and policies to flourish.
"Clown Prince ZERO-bama" and his owe-bamacRATics routinely ignore the United States Constitution. Does 'pass the bill to find out what's in it' in relation to owe-bamaKare; The 'Slaughter Rule' of Deem and Pass in relation to owe-bamaKare; the installation of Richard Cordray as Director, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, without the advice and consent of the U.S. Senate; the 'free' Catholic contraception and abortions, et al, ring a bell?!?
Adolf Hitler promised to deal with German unemployment (1933-26.3%; 1938-2.1%). He did!!
"Clown Prince ZERO-bama" promised to deal the 'Bush unemployment (U-3:  5.27%).  He did (U-3: 10.6%; U-6: 17.3%)!!
Relative to the German catholics, Hitler: restricted the movement of funds; restricted meetings, practices and education, and mandated catholic attendance at 'Hitler Youth' meetings and activities (ironically, on Sunday mornings!).
"Clown Prince ZERO-bama" (unconstitutionally) ordered the Catholic Church and catholic employers provide 'free' contraceptive and abortive measures-against ALL Catholic Church doctrine and teachings.  He later altered the order to 'insurance providers' must provide the aforementioned 'free' crap to catholic women.
In conclusion, practically 100% of George Soros'--and by extension, "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, the Narcissist's"--policies have percolated-up emotions ranging from disbelief to near-irrational anger!!  Any positive economic or fiscal knowledge Soros might have certainly did not translate well 'at the teleprompter;'  the economy has steadily gotten worse-regardless of the national pamphleteer spin on any coming recovery.  The 'catholic contraception' issue has cemented the course the owe-bamacRATic regime is negotiating.  If George Soros is successful in buying a second owe-bama term-of-rule:
America ain't seen nuthin' yet!!

This'n'That; December Nineth #1; Cudda Been The USA!

Finally, The NYT Gets It!
An article in The New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/08/business/an-entrepeneurs-rival-in-china-the-state.html?_r=1) expounded on the government's circumventing private enterprise!  The government is destroying the country's entrepreneurial spirit; the government--rather than allowing human endeavor--removes the will to succeed.  What country, you might ask: China!!  With minimal changes in fact and location, the article very well could have been written about the good ol' USA!!
OK, so far as we know, the US' federal government doesn't steal patents; doesn't side with theives in the business world against the entrepreneur.... well, excepting the SEIU, the UAW and various other labor unions, the New Black Panthers, ACORN (or what-ever it's name is TODAY!), et al.
What our federal government does do: promote the continued raiding of the Social Security system via the continuation of the tax 'holiday' that will benefit that 46% of Americans "pushing-the-wagon"--on average--around a thousand bucks PER YEAR.  This 'costs' each-and-every American billions-of-dollars each year in lost income to an already underfunded, failing system.  Said government is also promoting the continuation of THREE-YEARS of unemployment benefits!!
If you're paid not to work, would you ever go looking for a job?!?
I think not!!!
There's one project that the obama Regime is putting on hold--attempting to keep it's voting blocks in line--that of the "Keystone XL Pipeline" project.  "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, the Narcissist" is touting the project as only benefitting several thousand people, at the expense of the rest of the nation.  I say: Typical socio-fascist nonsense!!
As I mentioned previously, one of the primary 'engines of American economic growth' is inexpensive energy.  Said project would insure that!  Instead of the relative few obama claims would benefit, the project would benefit the entire country: some 312,744,986 (http://www.usdebtclock.org/)  souls.
The republicRAT House of Representatives is (I HOPE) intending to hold 'the Princely feet' to the fire!  Said body will add "Keystone XL Pipeline" project approval to any legislation continuing the raid on Social Security.  Someone has to address the crux of the problem: run-away spending!!  I challenge my representative--Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle--to continually introduce legislation to that effect!  Instead of six representatives and six Senators assuming the Constitutional responsibility in all spending matters, the taxpayer needs a dedicated legislator 'in their corner!!'

What The National Pamphleteers Don't Report:
Soros: World Financial System on Brink of Collapse
by Forrest Jones
Moneynews.com
December 1, 2011
The world financial system is on the brink of collapse, with developed markets running full speed ahead toward disintegration, says billionaire financier George Soros.  Although developing countries are battling a slew of problems themselves, such as corruption and tattered infrastructure, they will likely end up faring better than markets in the big, industrialized nations, Soros says.  Developing countries are unscathed by the "deflationary debt trap that the developed world is falling into," Soros told a New York gathering at the International Senior Lawyers Project, a group that provides pro bono legal services, according to The Wall Street Journal.  While the global financial system finds itself [....]

Rep. Ros-Lehtinen: Pivotal Hispanic Vote Deserting Obama
by Martin Gould, Ashley Martella
Newsmax.com
November 30, 2011
Hispanic voters will desert Barack Obama at the next election because he has failed to provide the hope and change he promised and Republicans are their natural party anyway, leading Cuban-American Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen tells Newsmax.  Too many people think that immigration is the only thing Latinos are concerned about but that is simply not true, the House Foreign Affairs chairwoman said in the exclusive interview.
The Republican party is the party of small government, less government intrusion, small businesses, more economic freedom, and that goes to the heart of what the Hispanic community is all about,” the Florida legislator said. “The growth in Hispanic small businesses in the United States is phenomenal and it’s because we’re seeing the opportunities exist,” she added. “The party needs to tailor its message, we don’t have to change our principles, but just be unafraid to appeal to the Hispanic voter.  “We tend to think that the Hispanic voter is all about immigration and if you’re not for amnesty, if you’re not for a comprehensive immigration reform, you won’t get the Hispanic vote. That is not true at all.  “Hispanics are pro-business, they’re very much [....]

In the last year, the civilian population rose by 1,726,000. Yet the labor force fell by 67,000. Hot Newt vs. Cool Mitt
by Hugh Hewitt
Townhall.com
December 2, 2011
I began Thursday's radio show by playing the clip of Newt Gingrich telling ABC's Jake Tapper that he would be the GOP nominee --not once but five times in various ways in less than 60 seconds.  I then asked for callers --first time callers only-- and their reactions. In an eleven minute segment I fit in 20 callers, 17 of whom applauded the former Speaker's bravado, three of whom dissented. Radio folks know this is more than a little astonishing (hat tip to call screener Nick who worked at a dizzying pace) and is the sort of reaction that only is triggered by something connecting with the audience on a very emotional level. My producer Duane has thought the statement off-putting. My network's content guru, Lee Habeeb, who was with me in the studio at Regent University where we were visiting, thought it was brilliant. The instant, unfiltered reaction of first-time callers --not the practiced, planted callers of Team Obama's negative machine-- favored the confidence of Newt, just as his recent rise in the polls has been largely fueled by his performances in the debates in which he has routinely attacked not Mitt Romney but the president and especially the media, which the center-right has gone from merely disliking to loathing in recent years because of the Manhattan-Beltway media elite's collective swoon for the president in 2008 and since.
The MSM narrative about these events is as wrong as usual when it comes to deciphering the thinking of conservatives. GOP primary voters aren't looking for an anti-Romney. They are looking for the nominee who will take it to Obama and his allies in the media every single day. Governor Romney's solid base of support has been built on the expectation that he will do so even though he has been careful in his roll out. Romney's debate performances have routinely focused on and blasted the president, and this accounts for his early lead in New Hampshire and strong national showing in head-to-head match-ups with the president.  But it has been a restrained approach, a foreshadowing of the summer and fall game plan, one designed not to exhaust the energy and commitment of the anti-Obama activists.
Newt's surge is powered by that portion of the conservative electorate that wants more now: more heat, more fire, and a lot more volume directed at the Chicago gang and their enablers in the MSM. This is the same electorate that first powered Bachmann, then Perry and then Cain, and now [....]

The Five People You’ll Meet In Charlotte

by Ben Chrystal
Personal Liberty Digest
November 30, 2011
Distinguishing characteristics of the outraged minority include eight-button suits (male), awesome hats (female) and wardrobe colors not found in nature (both). In 2003, Detroit-based sportswriter Mitch Albom published the much-heralded The Five People You Meet In Heaven. The book spent nearly two years on the bestseller list and was made into a TV movie starring Jon Voight. It told the tale of one man’s life, growth and death as seen through the lens of five individuals with whom he is inextricably linked.
Granted, none of the five folks of whom I speak today offer opportunities for growth beyond the sort achieved by fungus and mold, and their connection to life and death revolves around the former for murderers and the latter for unborn babies. Some might even see my references to Albom’s work as a shameless attempt to hitch my rhetorical wagon to an enormously successful writer. It is. But Albom lives in Detroit, so I’m certain he has suffered greater pain. And Albom has sold about 30 million books, so I’m quite sure he’ll survive the indignity.
This summer, the Democratic Party will hold its quadrennial Presidential nominating convention in Charlotte, N.C. Among the rogue’s gallery who will descend upon that poor city to re-coronate President Barack Obama (or perhaps not; check out Chip Wood’s column The Plot To Make Hillary President) will be the usual coterie of bottom-feeders who populate every large gathering of liberals. While every single one of them will share the dubious distinction of being members of the Democratic Party, they generally will fit into one of five categories (although given the girth of some of their masters, some pushing and/or WD40® will be involved).  With apologies to Albom, I present: the five people you’ll meet in Charlotte.
The Egghead
Distinguishing characteristics of the egghead include: unwashed hair, a ponytail (regardless of both gender and amount of hair remaining atop the head), speaking with eyes closed and spectacular body odor.  Often nominally employed as either a lawyer or college professor (or worse, both), the egghead suffers from an odd combination of low [....]

But history gets much less attention these days and, if there are any lessons that we are offered, they are more likely to be the lessons from current polls or the lessons of political correctness.  Even among those who still invoke the lessons of history, some read those lessons very differently from others.  Talk show host Michael Medved, for example, apparently thinks the Republicans need a centrist presidential candidate in 2012. He said, "Most political battles are won by seizing the center." Moreover, he added: "Anyone who believes otherwise ignores the electoral experience of the last 50 years."
But just when did Ronald Reagan, with his two landslide election victories, "seize the center"? For that matter, when did Franklin D. Roosevelt, with a record four consecutive presidential election victories, "seize the center"?  There have been a long string of [....]

Obama’s Re-Election Plan is an Exercise in Delusion

by Kevin "Coach" Collins

December 1, 2011

Seeing the curtain slowly but steadily descend on their socialist reign has apparently scared a few well-known Democrat analysts into publishing a plan to re-elect Barack Obama. Reading it, one can almost hear the socialist anthem, “The Internationale.”  The “Path to 270” (Pt270) plan denies the realities of the very demographics upon which it is based. Its only honest feature is an acknowledgement that White people are not going to vote for Democrats any time soon.  Pt270 believes Obama can magically cut Democrat loses among college graduates to 15 percent instead of the 30 percent beating they got in 2010, when unemployment among college graduates was 4.2 percent.
A Gallup poll of recent college graduates finds 11 percent unemployed or underemployed, which is two percent higher than the national average. It would be an amazing feat to keep Democrats’ loses down to last year’s 30 percent level among this group.  Pt270 next delusion has Obama and the Democrats abandon any to appeal to Whites without college degrees – who make up 72 percent of all White voters – and replace them with the 28 percent who have college degrees. Aside from the lopsided numbers comparing, only 49 percent of college grads self-identify as liberals.  The plan next describes that it is necessary for Obama to lose the White vote by “only” 17 points (58-41 percent) as John Kerry did in 2004. Obama’s 12 point loss margin (55-42) among White voters was only good enough to get him a 7.2 percent winning margin overall. But in last year’s midterm elections, Democrats (who served as his unwilling surrogates) took a beating among White voters. Pulling out a victory looks like a tall order, if not an outright impossibility.
Perhaps the most important piece of data left out by the authors of Pt270 is the yawning voter enthusiasm gap between the two parties. In this crucial [....]

A Deadly U.S. Attack on Pakistani Soil
by Nate Hughes,
Stratfor.com
December 1, 2011

In the early hours of Nov. 26 on the Afghan-Pakistani border, what was almost certainly a flight of U.S. Army AH-64 Apache attack helicopters and an AC-130 gunship killed some two dozen Pakistani servicemen at two border outposts inside Pakistan. Details remain scarce, conflicting and disputed, but the incident was known to have taken place near the border of the Afghan provinces of Kunar and Nangarhar and the Mohmand agency of Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). The death toll inflicted by the United States against Pakistani servicemen is unprecedented, and while U.S. commanders and NATO leaders have expressed regret over the incident, the reaction from Pakistan has been severe.
Claims and Interests
The initial Pakistani narrative of the incident describes an unprovoked and aggressive attack on well-established outposts more than a mile inside Pakistani territory — outposts known to the Americans and ones that representatives of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) had visited in the past. The attack supposedly lasted for some two hours despite distressed communications from the outpost to the Pakistani military’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi.
The United States was quick to acknowledge that Pakistani troops were probably killed by attack aircraft providing close air support to a joint U.S.-Afghan patrol near the Kunar border, and while U.S. Marine Gen. James Mattis, the head of U.S. Central Command, promised a high-level investigation, the United States and NATO seemed to be more interested in smoothing relations with Islamabad than endorsing or correcting initial reports about the specifics of the attack.  What has ensued has been a classic media storm of accusations, counteraccusations, theories and specifics provided by unnamed sources that all serve to obscure the truth as much as they clarify it. Meanwhile, no matter what actually happened, aggressive spin campaigns have been launched to shape perceptions of the incident for myriad interests. Given the longstanding tensions between Washington and Islamabad as well as a record of cross-border incidents, stakeholders will believe exactly what they want to believe about the Nov. 26 incident, and even an official [....]

Recipe for Middle-Class Jobs

'Brain Hubs' Like Austin, Texas, Create More Work for Less-Educated Residents
By Conor Dougherty
The Wall Street Journal
November 29, 2011
As the nation grapples with stubbornly high unemployment, Texas's political and high-tech capital shows one way to create good jobs for people who didn't go to college: Attract highly skilled entrepreneurs, and watch the companies they start hire lower-skilled workers.  Praxis Strategy Group, an economic-development consultancy, estimates Austin added 50,000 "middle-skill" positions in the past decade. These are jobs that require a two-year associate's degree or the equivalent work experience, and pay a median wage of $17.30 an hour, or $38,000 a year. That pace of growth is roughly four times faster than the nation's as a whole, three times that of New York and Portland, Ore., and twice that of Phoenix.
Austin's success in creating middle-class jobs runs against the grain of national trends. As America's shift from manufacturing to the service sector has accelerated, economists have noted a hollowing out of such jobs.  In recent decades, a select number of brain hubs like Austin have attracted a higher percentage of well-educated workers and a lopsided share of new investment and young companies. In 1970, the top 10 most-educated metropolitan areas among the nation's 100 largest had an average of 23% of workers holding a bachelor's degree or higher, compared with 10% in the bottom 10, according to an analysis of Census data by Harvard University economist Edward Glaeser. The 13-percentage-point gap has widened every decade since, and had doubled by 2010.
Beyond creating new middle-skill jobs, such brain hubs have generally higher incomes and for the most part have performed better through the recession. In Austin, the 7.1% average unemployment rate in 2010 was well below the nation's during the same period.  Of course, Austin also has a fast-growing population, which helps create jobs in any economic environment. And it's not as if other cities can create a more-educated populace overnight.  Still, Austin's success in creating middle-level jobs shows how a well-educated work force can raise the fortunes of lesser-educated workers as well. Raleigh, N.C., has benefited from the same dynamic.
One consequence of the economy's shift away from production toward brain work is that companies are constantly seeking new ways to break down high-value intellectual tasks into smaller, cheaper bits. Much the same way that assembly lines created millions of new jobs by reducing mass production to a sum of tasks, employers in Austin and elsewhere are constantly breaking down higher-skill jobs to "create new middle-skill, middle-income specialties," according to a recent report by the McKinsey Global Institute.  Take Homeaway Inc., a vacation-rental service founded [....]

"Clown Prince" Weekly Blather; December 3rd

A Patriotic Response To The "Clown Prince;" 12/03/2011
barackingham Palace,
District of Corruption
December 3, 2011
This week, we learned that our economy added another 140,000 private sector jobs in November. Despite some strong headwinds this year, America’s economy has now created private sector jobs for the past 21 months in a row – almost three million new jobs in all, more than half a million of them in the past four months alone.  We need to keep this growth going and strengthen it. That’s why we’ve been fighting to pass a series of jobs bills through Congress – bills that independent economists say will create more jobs and grow the economy even faster. Because now is the time to step on the gas, not slam on the brakes.  Unfortunately, too many Republicans in Congress don’t seem to share that same sense of urgency. Over the last few months, they’ve said “no” to most of these jobs bills. “No” to putting teachers and firefighters back to work. “No” to putting construction workers back on the job. And this week, they actually said “no” to cutting taxes for middle-class families.  You see, last year, both parties came together to cut payroll taxes for the typical middle-class family by about $1,000. But that tax cut is set to expire at the end of this month. If that happens, that same family will see its taxes go up by $1,000. We can’t let that happen. In fact, I think we should cut taxes on working families and small business owners even more.  And we’re going to keep pushing Congress to make this happen. They shouldn’t go home for the holidays until they get this done. And if you agree with me, I could use your help.
[What I'm not telling you: Now that the unemployment rate has been reduced to 8.6%, it raises the question: how did an increase of a mere 140,000 jobs decrease the U-3 unemployment rate nearly one-half a percentage point?  That's easy enough to answer!?!  Statistically tweeking the available workforce numbers and the available number of jobs, numbers!!  Nothing really changes.  In those instances we need change, we 'manufacture' said change by fiddling with the numbers until they indicate what we want indicated!
The 'Party of No' is a regime created phrase designed to turn the many undecided "KoolAid drinkers' against the Congress; Congressmen of either party.  It doesn't seem to be working!  We had hoped for the phrase to create a tide of negative reaction toward the Congress; not so much!  The voters--both paid and unpaid--seem to be judging my actions with independent thought; something unheard of in the past.  Usually, as with voters--both dead and alive--in Chicago, the bought voter stays 'bought!' That $1,000 that I'm touting as the next savior of the serf class is nothing more than so-much hooey!!  The referenced payroll tax cut extension will keep less than $19.25 per week in the workers' paychecks.  In New York that's about two packs of cigarettes; anywhere else, it's a weekly meal-for-two in a cheap joint most of us wouldn't frequent!!
As most of you are now realizing, the American voter; the American taxpayer, the American citizen is seeing through most of the statistics that come out of the federal government, whether they come from the regime and the White House or from the allegedly non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO).  Take for instance, the latest unemployment figures:  how can the creation of 140,000 jobs drop the socially-acceptable U-3 unemployment rate nearly one-half percentage point to 8.6%?!?  Forget all the White House blusterful blather, the true reason is that over 315,000 unemployed American workers have stopped looking for work!!  To the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), that means they're no longer counted in the manipulation of the unemployment numbers.  Anyone who stops looking for work is just dfr'd (dropped from the rolls), meaning they just 'fall off the face of the earth;' they no longer matter in the creation of the fictitous socially-accepted, regime-manipulated U-3 unemployment rate.  If it wouldn't continue the downward-spiral of the regime's public persona, the U-6 total unemployment number should be used in all discussions; all legislative jobs proposals.]
We’ve set up a simple tax cut calculator on WhiteHouse.gov so that you can see exactly what the stakes are for your family. Try it out. Then let your members of Congress know where you stand.  Tell them not to vote to raise taxes on working Americans during the holidays. Tell them to put country before party. Put money back in the pockets of working Americans. Pass these tax cuts.  We’re all in this together. The more Americans succeed, the more America succeeds. And if we remember that and do what it takes to keep this economy growing and opportunity rising, then I’m confident that we’ll come out of this stronger than before.
[What I'm not telling you: Ta-Hell with the White House 'tax-cut calculator!!'  That only tells the public what George Soros and the regime want them to know.  Even on it's face, this calculator is little more than a propaganda tool.  For a better look at the entire economy and how the fascists are continuing to destroy it, please go to http://www.usdebtclock.org/ for a far clearer picture of the economy.  This 'debt clock' gives the viewer not only the federal financial statistics  but also numbers on auto sales, energy output, precious metals, all manner of business statistics as well as those detailing federally mandated 'give-away' programs.  Are you aware--for instance--that the total unfunded mandates are $166.7 TRILLION ?!?  That equates to well over ONE-MILLION-DOLLARS PER TAXPAYER!?!  How can any politician--let alone the incompetent boob in the White House--really believe that these numbers are even close to 'sustainable?!?']

This'n'That; September Twenty-Second #2; The Fed

AGAIN-Fed Displays Classic 'Insanity!'
The Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is going ahead with continuation of his insane idea of 'Quantitative Easing,' as a result of the latest meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee. This time, Bernanke is buying more Treasury securities to reduce long-term interest rates.  The net effect here will be:
Penalizing 'savers' who will suffer from the resultant falling interest rates.
Penalizing bond holders and other investors in fixed-rate securities.
Continue the rising inflation rates, at a faster rate.
Put more consumers into houses they cannot afford; have no inclination of paying for.
The Fed's mission--should they decide to accept it--is to control inflation and insure maximum employment; conversely, the lowest unemployment rate possible.  Apparently, the Fed has decided NOT TO ACCEPT!  Nearly everything done by The Federal Reserve; done by the current regime, has exacerbated both problems!
Let's have a look at how the various statistics are derived; how the various statistics are contrived to achieve the desired goal:
The 'official unemployment rate (U-3)' is those unemployed for four weeks.  The rate is determined by the number of unemployed, divided by the number of jobs available.
The "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, The Narcissist" regime has used two types of 'adjustments' to achieve their politically-inspired results.  The regime has--at least once--reduced the total labor force numbers to make the U-3 rate to appear to be improving.
The "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, The Narcissist" regime has--at least once--shifted an undetermined number of the unemployed from the U-3 category to the U-4, U-5 and/or U-6 categories, thus reducing the U-3 'official' rate.
Due to the blatant dishonesty and obfuscation by the "Clown Prince ZERO-bama, The Narcissist" regime, one would be advised to periodically check the Gallup organization's tracking of various statistics, providing a more honest; more believeable picture of the national economy.  The regime would like you to believe the August, 2011 U-3 rate to be 9.1%; the U-6 rate to be 16.2%  The Gallup people have found them to be 9.8% and 18.3%, respectively.
This regime, The Fed as well as members of Congress--politicial parties, aside--continue to feed the American people the government brand of pablum; anything that is more pleasing to the ear and eye, than is the actual situation!

This'n'That; November 14th [Economy; Politics]

Is There Any Direction BUT DOWN? Recent reports indicate that first-time unemployment filings rose to 516,000. This number has pushed the unemployment rate to 6.5%. Unemployment is not expected to decline until the estimated peak rate of 9.0% is reached sometime in 2010. Maybe It's Time To Return To The "Misery Index" The "Misery Index" is an economic indicator created in the late 1960s by Arthur Okun, an economic advisor to President Johnson. The index is determined by adding the unemployment rate and the inflation rate. It assumed that both a higher rate of unemployment or a worsening of inflation both create economic and social costs of the [or any] country. So, to determine the current "Misery Index" we must add: The unemployment rate: 6.5% The inflation rate: 4.94% ---------- " Misery Index" 11.44 An unintended indicator: Some economists contend that the components of the "Misery Index" drive the crime rate to a dregree. They've found that the "Misery Index" and the crime rate correlate strongly and that the "Misery Index" seems to lead the crime rate by a year or so. I found a chart that ranks all the Presidents since World War II, with the lowest rank indicating the lowest average "Misery Ranking:" ** #1 Dwight Eisenhower [1953-1960] 6.26 #2 Lyndon Johnson [1963-1968] 6.78 #3 John Kennedy [1961-1962] 7.27 #4 William Clinton [1993-2000] 7.80 #5 Harry Truman [1948-1952] 7.87 #6 George Bush [2001-2005] 7.98 #7 Richard Nixon [1969-1973] 9.98 #8 George H.W. Bush [1989-1992] 10.68 #9 Ronald Reagan [1981-1988] 12.19 #10 Gerald Ford [1974-1976] 15.93 #11 James Carter [1977-1980] 16.27 Obamanyms [One can't understand the game without a playbook] OBAMAPHORIA: A worldwide euphoria that spread over his supporters. OBAMANATION: Expressed by evangelicals and other conservatives who opposed many of his stances. OBAMARAMA: The Inauguration Day celebrations. OBAMANOS: "Let's go" among his fans in Mexico. OBAMATOPIA: The political paradise supporters expect him to usher in late on the afternoon of January 20th. OBAMALUJAH: Exultation shouted by his fans. OBAMATRONS: The "policy wonks" in his White House. OBAMASCOPE: Media scrutiny of the new leader. OBAMANATOR: Hollywood nickname for the new leader. OBAMALICIOUS: Term used by supporters who like his looks. OBAMALOHA: Goodbye from his birthplace, Hawaii. Oh-BAMA: Joyful exclamation. OBAMERIKA: Headline from the Croatian paper; Slobodna Dalmacija. BARACKSTAR: He's the "Mick Jagger" of politics. What PEBO Is Up Against PEBO is inheriting the ongoing economic crisis and a two-front war. Lest we forget biden's forecast of PEBO test by crisis!! He started rolling back his "pie-in-the-sky" promises during his election night acceptance speech. "Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even in one term." Research by Harold Holzer, author of Lincoln, President-Elect, indicates that 'the most successful transformative presidencies were patient between the election and the inauguration.' Here We Go..... Next week the congress returns. They will meet to finish remaining business before the 110th Congress. In September, the House passed a $57 billion stimulus package which was to focus primarily on infrastructure projects. The previous stimulus was $150 billion; the one that sent checks to American Taxpayers. The infrastructure stimulus package should have a net positive effect on the economy. A major problem with this action is that it requires MORE DEFICIT SPENDING. ***As of November 11, 2008, then National Debt is $10.6 TRILLION!! What most taxpayers don't know is that the THIRD LARGEST EXPENSE in the federal budget is the interest paid on the National Debt [2008=$412 billion]!! The LARGEST SINGLE ITEM in the budget is social spending; welfare, food stamps, etc. "For society as a whole, nothing comes as a 'right' to which we are 'entitled.' Even bare subsistence has to be produced.... The only way anyone can have a right to something that has to be produced is to force someone else to produce it.... The more things are provided as 'rights,' the less the recipients have to work and the more the providers have to carry the load." ............................Dr Thomas Sewell, economist, columnist for Forbes Magazine. EVERY YEAR SINCE 1969, Congress has spent more money than it's income!! Even when governmentofficials say they have a surplus, they still SPEND MORE THAN THEY TAKE IN!! We pay interest on a very large debt. "A politician cannot spend one dime on any spending project without first taking that dime from the person who earned it. So, when a politician votes for a spending bill he is saying that he believes the government should spend that particular dollar rather than the individual who worked for it." ...............................................Neal Boortz, national talkshow host, WSB-Atlanta. "There is no such thing as government money-ONLY TAXPAYER MONEY." .............................William Weld, Former Governor of Massachusetts. Til Nex'time....................

The Welfare State.... [Part 1, "The New Deal"]

During the years after World War I and those leading up to his nomination and subsequent election to the Presidency, Franklin Roosevelt [FDR] was fully aware of the nation's problems. Although FDR had been born into and grew up in a household of wealth and privilege, he had first hand knowledge of the economy and the various strata of that era's society. His knowledge was gained through his education and various governmental posts at the local, state and federal levels. FDR-Groton, Harvard and Columbia Law educated, had worked as a lawyer in New York City; was a NY state Senator, US Senator, Assistant Secretary of the Navy and NY Governor. The nation was experiencing unbridled prosperity in the years after the world war. The concept of "installment buying" had arrived !!! People on all levels of society were making purchases with small down payments followed by a few dollars monthly until the purchase was complete. This concept had eventually spread throughout the economy including the stock market. Brokers allowed stock purchases with as little as 10-15% as a down payment. The broker then loaned the investor the balance of the purchase price. This advance called a "margin," was paid back at the sale of the stock. With so much investing done on the margin, brokers were forced to borrow funds from banks who also became heavily in debt. Almost everyone from the day laborer to the Wall Street financier, were "making money-hand over fist" !!! The period from the mid to the late 1920s provided great prosperity for the vast majority of Americans. Housewives were investing their milk money !!! The New York Stock Exchange reached it's highest levels in August, 1929. The Dow-Jones Industrial Average [DJIA or "The Dow"] is a mathematical barometer of the health of American stock markets as a whole. On September 3, 1929, the DJIA reached it's peak at 381.17. The market then fell sharply, the decline lasted approximately a month, loosing 17% of it's value. During the next week, prices gained about half their losses, but then suffered a drastic downturn once more. This accelerated into "Black Thursday", October 24, 1929. Although minuscule by today's standards, a record 12.9 million shares traded on that day alone. On the following Monday the trading continued; on into the following day, "Black Tuesday", October 29, 1929-setting a record [16.4 million shares traded] that wasn't broken again until 1969. By the close of business on "Black Tuesday", nearly all stocks were worthless. On the 29th alone, the market lost more than $14 billion in value. The total for the week was more than $30 billion. By comparison, the $30 bil. was 10 times greater than the federal budget and far more than the US spent in all of World War I. Millionaires became paupers overnight; those who had invested their savings were left penniless !!! And this wasn't the worst, the DJIA finally reached it's lowest point on July 8, 1932 at 41.22. The Dow would not regain it's highest 1929 levels until 1954. With a republican [Herbert Hoover] in the White House at the start of The Great Depression, democrat FDR was "a shoo-in" for the presidency. Looking back seventy-five years to 1933, the phrase "New Deal" should have made the average adult "giddy" with anticipation !!! Remember, the country was deep in the grasp of The Great Depression; the unemployment rate for that year was 24.9% [13,000,000 people] !!! Actually, there are two sets of statistics-those previous which considered the total civilian population and the 'Darby' rate which considered WPA workers as employed. The 'Darby' rate for the same year was 20.6%...... not far behind !!! The phrase "New Deal" actually has a history that precedes FDR's use. FDR initially used the term in 1932 during his speech accepting the presidential nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. FDR may have borrowed from the David Lloyd George who used the phrase: "A New Deal for Everyone" during his 1919 campaign for British Prime Minister. American reformers have used it as well, including Sen. Carl Shurz [Mo] in 1871, Woodrow Wilson during his NJ gubernatorial campaign in 1910 and Sen. Robert LaFollette [Wi] in 1912. FDR's New Deal involved three phases: 1. Confidence in the banking system had to be restored to end the panicked withdrawals at banks throughout the U.S. 2. Prices had to be stabilized to encourage businesses and farmers to resume production. 3. Provide federal assistance to those described as the one-third of the nation that was "ill-housed, ill-clad, ill-nourished." Mr. Roosevelt got started practically as he sat down at his desk. FDR's inauguration was on March 4, 1933. On March 6, he proclaimed a "bank holiday" and called the Congress into special session. In the first 100 days of that session, Congress passed the President's program: the Emergency Banking Act, the Agricultural Adjustment Act and the Nation Industrial Recovery Act as well as the legislation creating the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Home Owners Loan Corporation and the Federal Emergency Relief Administration. FDR also took the country off the gold standard to prevent a run on government reserves. Later New Deal laws created and/or funded the following: Public housing for workers Unemployment insurance Social Security pensions Welfare for needy families Framework for labor unions and workers' collective bargaining Public service jobs for the unemployed AMONG OTHERS !!! The New Deal program became nearly as defining a moment in American History as the Civil War. Never before had so much legislation and policy emanated from the federal government and in the process it became the center of political authority. Previously, crises governments had cut spending, balanced the budget, curtailed reform to provide the stability they thought necessary for economic recovery. The New Deal reversed that pattern to lift the country out of hard times and in so doing, altered social and economic policy forever. During the 1932 presidential campaign FDR had an advisory group later named the "Brain Trust". The members of his group were Columbia University professors Raymond Moley, Rexford Tugwell and Adolf Berle, Jr., among others. This group helped Mr Roosevelt formulate public policy solutions to the nation's social and economic problems. After the election they never met again as a group but were appointed to, and served, in various federal posts. Small gains were made during the early years of The New Deal. Between 1933-1935, the gross national product [GNP] had risen a paltry $16 billion; unemployment was reduced by only 3 million. As small as these gains were, they were nearly derailed by an ill-advised budgetary move. The 1937 recession seemed to prove that FDR's New Deal economic and social policies weren't working. The President had become cautious and cut government spending. He maintained a policy of "watchful waiting" until early in 1938 when he proposed a $3.75 billion relief bill. By the time FDR took action, the recession had already done it's damage; personal income had dropped by 12% and there were 4 million added to the unemployment rolls. Several things the President could have done to forestall or lessen the impact were not done. Increases in the federal gold reserves could have been used to relax credit restrictions and increase the money supply. FDR kowtowed to the bankers and financiers [who opposed any inflationary measures] and raised monetary reserve requirements which tightened credit. In early 1939 public opinion of the New Deal's effectiveness were 2 to 1 AGAINST !!! Most of the country believed that the economy was worse than at the start of The Great Depression. Some members of FDR's cabinet were the main detractors, principally Henry Morgenthau, the Secretary of the Treasury. Mr Morgenthau is quoted that May, saying "We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. And I have just one interest, and now if I am wrong somebody else can have my job. I want to see people get enough to eat. We have never made good on our promises. I say after eight years of this administration, we have just as much unemployment as when we started. And enormous debt to boot." The Great Depression continued until the U.S. entered World War II. The massive spending required during the war years doubled the GNP. Businessmen redoubled their efforts for greater output as an expression of patriotism. Patriotism drove most people to voluntarily work overtime and forgo leisure activities to earn money after the devastating years at the start of the depression. Patriotism meant that people willingly accepted rationing and price controls for the first time. Cost-plus prices military contracts insured that businesses made a profit regardless of inefficiencies or poor labor. The post-war economy continued to thrive, driven by the needs of the returning soldiers and the needs of what would be labeled "The Baby-Boomers". The "Alphabet Soup [a PARTIAL list]:" 1. Reconstruction Finance Corp. [Large loans to big businesses] Ended in 1954. 2. Federal Emergency Relief Administration[FERA] Unskilled jobs as relief. Replaced by the WPA in 1935. 3. US "Bank Holiday." [1933] Closed ALL US banks until they were certified by Federal reviewers. 4. "Abandonment of Gold Standard." [1933] US currency no longer backed by gold reserves. 5.
